Update on Severe Weather for August 16th 2009

A line of strong storms moved through the area this afternoon.  We had several wind reports.
Here are some:  NE Chicago buoy reports TSTM Wind gusts of 62 mph at 1:30 pm.

Oak Forest at 167th and Cicero had a report of TSTM Wind gust of 50 mph at 3:48 pm.

Montgomery in Kane County has had a report of TSTM Wind gusts of 62 mph at 2:05 pm.
Also, Montgomery trained spotter reports TSTM WIND DMG @ 2:54 pm, route 30 and between route 25 and route 47...large branches and signs down.

Chatham (Cook County) c-man station reports MARINE TSTM Wind of M47 mph @ 3:54 mph -calumet harbor.

SSE Aurora (Will Cty) had a report of TSTM Wind gusts of 62 mph @ 2:55 pm

Willowbrook had a report of TSTM Wind gusts of 58 mph at 3:00 pm
