One good byproduct of our cool summer is a relatively quiet severe weather season. According to the Storm Prediction Center, there have been 21 deaths from tornadoes so far this year. That compares to 122 at this point last year.

This tornado ended up being featured on an episode of Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel in 2007 as a chase team encountered the storm. It went from some of the most riveting television I've watched to some of the most depressing as the teams visited the devastation the next day. Thank you for linking to this documentary.
