The CW Star of the Week

Tracee
Name: Tracee Ellis Ross

Where you can catch her: On Girlfriends, season premiere Sunday, October 1 at 8/7c

Where else you can see her in action: Hanging Up, Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls in '07

Why we heart her: How can you not love this Renaissance woman? In addition to her current gig, the Brown University grad also has modeled and served as a contributing editor for Mirabella and New York magazines.

Did you know? She's the daughter of the legendary Diana Ross. Well, you probably knew that. But it's always nice to see next of kin make names for themselves as well.

when will girlfriend have a new show come on

She is rocking!
Love GIRLFRIENDS!

awwww hes so cute

Girlfriends really need the character of Toni to come back. The show is just not the same no matter what Tracy or any of the other co-stars think, Jill Marie Jones really made the show what it WAS. When Toni was on the show, I would set the recorder just to make sure I wouldn't miss it. Now it doesn't really matter because I'm not missing much.

I don't like the show too much now that TONI is gone. She needs to come back, they keep talkin about her cause she's important. So she needs to come back to the show. I don't see the show moving that far without her. She should come back with Todd and the baby. They made a cute couple and the show needs them.

good thing Toni isnt there. i love GF's just the way it is, keep up the good work. oh and one more thing...why monica? i'd prefer toni, but i hate monica.

WE WANT TONI BACK!!!!!!!!!

I am so disheartened to see that Toni's character has been written off of the show? Will she ever return? She was among many of my favorite characters on the show! I had heard rumors (prior to new season) that Toni was not going to return to the show but I thought they were only rumors. The show will definitely not be the same without her ! I miss seeing Toni on "Girlfriends" already!

I've have always watched girlfriends since the start. I also glad that the cw11 picked it up, but the show will not be the same without Toni.

tom is hot i've seen all the smallville show's 1-5
can't wait for 6 to come out on cw. tom when can i rock ur world.

omg !!! i think tom welling has been so cute since cheaper by the dozen even though I never watch smallville!

Booooo... to the hater using the ridiculous name-ending-with-youmakewhopee--who posted the first comment here. Tracee is indeed making a name for herself and has been since the start of her career. Diana just happens to be her mom. Like many daughters, she has several attributes like her mother, including TALENT. You should be willing to suspend all that you know about her mother and just watch the season. Not only will you find that the show is an excellent representation of girlfriend relationships in the African-American community, you will see that Tracee's portrayal of Joan Clayton deserves much of the credit. So...Nevermind YOU.

hahaha i love the names people posted on this page

I'll watch the season premiere of Girlfriends on the CW, but quite frankly im not expecting much out of the show. She's pretty, but that photo doesnt really do her any justice. She looks more plasticy in it than normal. As for the making a name for herself: Its not that big of a name. She's still kind of riding the coat tails of her mother, but hopefully she'll be able to hop off after her new stuff comes out in '07. Right now, the only different thing about her I see is that she trys to be different by spelling her name with two e's on the end. Oh wait...thats been done before too. Nevermind.

GF's is a great show. I'm happy to see it made The CW sched this fall. Looking forward to tons of Tracee!
