Why we heart her: While the series has had its ups and downs, you can always count on KB to pull out all the stops as Lorelai's wicked mother, Emily Gilmore. While she's not new to playing a mom (see Dirty Dancing, Private Parts, Wonder Boys), her current portrayal is definitely one of the most memorable on TV today.
Did you know? Her first love is the theater, and she is also an animal activist. More notably, in interviews she clearly is nothing like Emily - which is why they call it acting!

She is a great actress.
She make her character tolerable. She makes Emily quite human.
She is one of a couple.
Please let them act together. After killing Luke and Lorelai, don't deprive yourselves of another good point of the show and amazing actor and character.

Emily really does make the show. If she wasn't on the show, I do not think there would be a show.
