Smallville: Clark Continues to Evolve
Interesting episode. Clark is finally venturing out in to the big bad world to protect everyone, not just the denizens of Smallville and Metropolis. It's about time, Clark. We're glad to see you stretch your superhero muscles.
So what did you think of the mysterious figure who helped out Clark in Seattle? We've got a couple of guesses. Our first though, on seeing the red flash and glowing red eyes as he flew away, was that it was the android Red Tornado. But the half-eaten Oreos tell a different story: they're the trademark addiction of J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Either could be an interesting addition to the growing Justice League.
We admit we were surprised that Clark left Lex to fend for himself, but we're glad that Chloe, Jimmy and Lana stepped up. Apparently geek boys have their uses! We can totally see Jimmy obsessing over Ham radios as a kid. Nice job saving Lex, although he did prove he's not to be trifled with by stabbing the bad guy. Was that necessary to protect himself and Lana, or just Lex's bad side coming out?
Finally, what do you think of Lex's proposal? We can't help but think that marriage won't go well, but that may be influenced by our knowledge that comic book Lex was married eight times. Perhaps they should have pursued couples counseling instead?
Comments
i think the CK and chloe duo is the best. and when the justice league is doin there thing its great thats what i like to see. and i think chloe as watchtower is a perfect idea. i know clark is getting older and he needs to become superman soon. but i wish there was still a lot of time for clark and the justice league to evolve slowly and maybe other heroes..

man...screw lana...i cant wait till lois and clark start displaying some chemistry between each other...or even if clark starts exhibiting feelings for lois even though she doesnt necessarily reciprocate at this point. if that occurs that the story between them wont deviate much from the mythos. Remember it is clark who falls for Lois first.

MY god.... Why could clark get LANA.... dam that last episode was a killer to see her get married to lex... WoW, everyone think that clark still has no chance?
Posted by: Anonymous | March 17, 2007 12:33 AM
I have never said as posted above that I love Lex with Lana in any way. I did say I wanted Clark and Lex to be together as a couple, that would actually boost your ratings, and Lana is useless kill her off before you do something stupid and marry her off to one of your key players. Why don't you poll your audience They will agree that Clark and Lex should be together.

Wow!!!!! i have watched smalville before, im not a fan yet until now... i only have to say that with green arrow Smallville rocks!
Now the show has the "hero" thing, before it only seemed a teenage show or something.
Green Arrow (Oliver Quinn)has that thing that the show needed, by this person Clark has realized his role as Superman, dont you think?. Please!!! the show must have this dynamic, it is so exciting! and of course, Ollie is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please! keep him!!!!!!
Posted by: Newfan | December 6, 2006 2:44 PM
Heehee...did anyone notice that the picture of Lana that Lex had was the exact same one that Clark had. Look again...it's the same one Clark used to mope over.
Aint that a kick in the a$$!!!! LOL! LOL!
Did Lana sneak into his loft and steal it? or did she make a few copies for all her past and present boyfriends! HAAAAA!!!
Poor Clark!
Posted by: nadine | November 29, 2006 9:10 PM
Lex and Clark are destined to be a couple. Lana and Lois sucks. The show has already veered off from the original superman series so the authors need to get some balls and let Clark and Lex be together. They need to look at Ellen and Brians shows.

I LOVED THIS EPISODE! GO LEXANA! it was a lexana fans dream episode...and the chemistry between kk and mr was AMAZING! OF COURSE LANA IS GOING TO SAY YES TO LEX'S PROPOSAL because she loves him and is having his baby! i cant wait to c more of lexana in the upcoming episodes!!
jimmy has got to go, its good that he saved lex and all but him and chloe make me vomit, chloe needs to be with clark so chlark can happen...
as for the red eye guy or martian manhunter i think well just have to wait and c until the new episodes come on.
i rele dont mind not seeing lois and olliver in this episode
it was a good thing that clark was away from his home and away from lex and lana

Read a comic. You'll know Lois Lane is a whole lot more and Chloe isn't 1% of what Lois Lane is.
Lois had to attain the status she is attaining. Whether or not a 'Chloe' was present on this show or not.
I feel sorry for you as a fan, but Chloe never was an important character to this story.
I am only glad the writers came to their senses and did not compromise the iconic characters, i.e., Clark and Lois for Chloe's sake.
DC would be only happy that their 70 year old prestigious characters are not sidelined because of a character that has no place in the mythos.
Chloe is a nice character to watch, but sorry, the fans tune in to watch a Superman show want Clark, Lex and Lois to evolve, not Chloe.
And please, don't turn this into a Lois bashing blog. I've seen several outraged Chloe fans bad mouthing Lois once again, when she didn't even appear in this week's episode.
Thank you, peace to all!ENE QUOTE:
Firstly, I didn't bash Lois.
Secondly, just because I feel Chloe is potentially a better character and catalyst for the pre-Superman storyline, doesn't mean I would ever say they shouldn't advance Lois to her rightfull place in the Mythos. But to claim that Chloe isn't 1% of Lois.....well,it's you're type of thinking that is probably one of the main reasons why other Super Hero franchises are doing so much better than the Man of Steel at the box office.
And I don't hear you complaining in the fact that Lois is were she's DEFINITELY not supposed to be! As I remember, in this 70 year old tale....Lois doesn't meet the Man of Steel until she's already the Daily Planet reporter. So don't go around telling people who watch a show about Superman's pre-superman days....what most fans want to see. Either that....or go watch Lois & Clark DVD's.

Chloe is a nice character to watch, but sorry, the fans tune in to watch a Superman show want Clark, Lex and Lois to evolve, not Chloe.
There are plenty of fans who are awaiting the second half of the season and Chloe investigation into Level 33.1. Best of all there will be no EDLois and her "investigative reporting" to deal with.
But never fear, there are plenty of barn doors in Kansas. Whatever EDLois needs to keep up with Chloe, I'm sure there's a barn door with the quality of an award winning journalist painted on it just waiting for her to go jogging again. And voila, development and evolution of a beloved iconic character. Who said TV had to challenge and provide coherent, well thought out stories? SV certainly seems to be living up to that notion. Wonder how their light bill is doing these days over in Vancouver? EDLois is going to need a Pulitzer soon...
Also, enough with the Lexana. Jeez. Poor Batista. His acting gig was sacrificed on the altar of Lana-Love. Even WWF wrestlers need to bow down - and sacrifce their screentime - all for the Love of the Lana.

I saw the promo trailer and I thought I would see lots of Clark and MM in action but what did we get? Lexana. yuck! TPTB shouldn't try to deceive viewers like that.

You are right Chloe is a nice character to watch. But you are wrong to say all fans tune in just to watch Clark, Lex and Lois evolve as characters. There are a lot of different fans that like to watch the show for many different reasons. Some are fans of Lionel, some are fans of Lana, some are fans of Martha and some like myself are fans of Chloe.

Yeah I generally enjoyed the episode. The main aim of this episode was to cement that fact that Clark really needs to finish his training and that he will need human and super human help to get rid of the last of the Zoners and that the altered Lexmas scenario will happen. I just wonder if the rest of the series will be divided up between Clark tracking down the Zoners( with the help of his super human friends and human friends) and the altered Lexmas scenario. I did think the BrainIAC device was going to be the main plot device for this series but I guess I was wrong. Looks like it will be the Zoners. It will be fun to see if the Martian Manhunter joins up with the Justice League.
Chloe and Lionel fighting again was fun. It should be pretty clear to Chloe from his reaction that she was dead on the money in regards to floor 33.1. It was fun to see Chloe and Jimmy helping out Lex and Lana. The Lana character keeps on seesawing between supporting and not supporting Lex with his research into such areas as BrainIAC device and mutant freaks. I am not whether she is just playing him. In fact it is clearer where Lex stands then Lana at this stage. Hopefully Clark will heed Chloe's advice and get help next time a Zoner appears; instead of trying to be a lone gun.

The chlark is there, the tension is building..then they'll let out all thier feelings..and come back stronger than ever.
shalimarfox80, you bash Chloe like there's no tomorrow..yet we can say nothing about the pure excuse of a Lois that edLois is?
I HATE Smallville's Lois. I read comics, fyi and she is nothing how Lois is in Smallville.

This comment is not about Static, but I wanted to put it out there anyway...just in case TPTB might somehow get wind of it....
Sometime before Smallville ends on tv, I would like to see a special where behind the scenes footage is shown. Show some filming, some deleted scenes, some goofing around on set, some set interviews, some family members (if they dont mind), and just some behind the scenes of how the cast and crew are friends. I read in an interview somewhere that Tom Welling is a natural prankster and makes images with his hands on the screen when not filming. Things like that would be fun for fans to see, and will close off the tv show in a fun way.
I think fans will enjoy it and appreciate it.
Hope someone at CW can spread the word about this idea.

The Lana and Lex Love should end. It does not look good at all. Lana should leave for quite sometime and Lex should continue dating different women. We need Clark to take more action including Miss Clark.

I can't wait to see how the Level 33.1 story plays out with Chloe and Clark which means more development for them right there. EDLois and Ollie will soon be gone and not soon enough as far as I'm concerned.
I am certain, there are barn doors aplenty in EDLois's future. The switches keep getting flicked for her while Chloe (and Chlark) keep steadily being developed. I can't wait to see what switch they flick so that EDLois and Clark get some chemistry beyond that of being siblings.
I'm eager to see the return of Clark, Chloe, Lex and Lana. Enough of the guest stars, Green Arrow-ville and EDLois. They just take time away from the others and the more important stories.

I liked Lexana.
For the first time, I liked Kristin Kruek's acting. She was given some room to perform and she did well.
Smallville can do better without Bow Wows and Batistas. It just needs more Tom Welling.
I love Lionel Luthor.
I love Jimmy Olsen. Can't wait for him to team up with Clark and Lois.
I missed Lois.

Except for one or two buddy moments, the Chloe/Jimmy bits quite frankly.....made me want to VOMIT!.......that's all.
Why don't the stupid Powers That Be just turn Chloe into the female version of Jimmy Olson already....instead of what she was really starting to become, and that is THE CLEAR CUT....UP & COMING...CHALLENGER to Lois Lane's Iconic status. The Stupid DC Superman Franchise finally comes up with a character that RIVALS any of the BEST SIDEKICKS ever created (Batman's Robin, Green Arrow's Speedy, the Lone Ranger's Tonto, and not to mention Harry Potter's wonderful Hermione Granger), and NOW they let her get PAIRED UP with the WAY OVER RATED ICON of Jimmy Olson. NEWSFLASH.....when's the last time anyone bought a Jimmy Olson Action Figure? I guess you get my point. As a character, Chloe Sullivan ROCKS, but Mr.Olson?......ehh.
DC COMICS.....YOU ARE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS IF YOU LET THIS CHARACTER GET RUINED. But go ahead, I guess in your warped view maybe you possibly think Lois needs her very own female Jimmy Olson....and along side J.O., Chloe is starting to look more and more stupid each week now (frequencies for example? This means that "JINX"= Smart Chloe...while "STATIC" = Stupid Chloe...actually, the writers are stupid if they don't even know what happened in past seasons)...so maybe it suits her character. At least I'm back to having Spidey's MARY JANE WATSON as my favorite female comic book character of all time (not that Chloe's in the comics, but she's based on them). Can't believe that this sorry Smallville excuse for a bottom basement Daily Planet reporter ever pushed MJ off my number 1 spot.

What can I say? Static was simply great! It was every Lexana fan's dream and more. MR and KK's palpable onscreen chemistry came in full force in this episode. Lex and Lana's confessions of love--KK really nailed that scene. And when Lex and Lana were reunited, seeing Lex so happy made my heart skip a beat. Of course, their marriage may not be the smoothest thing, but I don't doubt that they can work things out.
It was also nice to see Clark in investigative/sorta undercover mode.
Posted by: TRP | November 18, 2006 10:23 PM
Absolutely loved Lexana in this episode! MR and KK were amazing, especially KK in the scene where she/Lana confesses her feelings/love for Lex. There's so much chemistry between these two.

I love Lexana in this episode. Both KK and MR gave amazing performances. Their relationship played wonderfully, and I can't wait to see what's in store for them when we get new episodes. :)
Oh, and Jimmy is the dorkiest! He's such a cutie! hehe

I don't know. I'm honestly enjoying the Lexana. In fact, it was about time they show them as a couple, cause the last couple of episodes I didn't get the slightest vibe they were an item. As for the marriage and baby, I don't know. Maybe it'll work out, but something bad happens to Lana or something.
Posted by: Gaby | November 18, 2006 1:21 PM
The show is no longer entertaining and fun! It has become a sad soap opera. Yes, someone might say that Lana has made her choices, but she really hasn't. Some sick writer decided to change the Mythos and add in a relationship that never happened, a pregnancy that never occurred and a proposal that never took place. If you doubt that read the old DC comics or go to wikepedia and read the story of Superboy, Lana and Lex Luthor. The poetic license has not only destroyed the way we think about the characters, but the ratings as well. Just look at the ratings. CW, your network is floundering and is probably going to fail because of the LOUSY programing you have selected.A new network, but your showing the same old trash. A definition for insanity is to do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Smallville would have been a great show without the soap opera style and story. Gough/Millar may have had success in the past, but they missed the mark with the second half of season five and this whole idea to make Lex Luthor totally evil by losing Lana. Lex is evil by nature and if you look into the mythos it wasn't a rejection by Lana that turned him to the dark side it was an accident in an experiment. The experiment took place in a lab that Superboy made for him, while they were friends. Superboy saved Lex from the accident, but Lex blamed Superboy and went evil and became the man that he is shown to be in the comics.I don't know why DC comics allows Gough/Millar to do this to their characters. Maybe like the Clark they have created, the people at DC don't have any backbone. By the way...I do know the Mythos as I have been reading Superman/Superboy comics since 1957. The show was something I enjoyed. I would watch it after spending a busy day at work. I don't anymore because now it's just TRASH!!! Oh and by the way, there is a big difference between expanding on the Mythos and tearing it up and destroying it as these gentlemen have been doing and it's your fault DC comics for allowing this.
Like a wounded animal it should be put out of it's MISERY! I am not pushing who should be with whom. My problem is with the total desregard for the mythos and destroying good characters. The end does not justify the means! I seriously doubt that this will be posted, but think of it as a reality check!
Thank you for the forum.

Smallville is dying. Lexana is killing it.

so i've been seeing alot of comments on different boards contemplating what was happening in the loft scene at the end with Clark and Chloe.
One one extreme some ppl are ecstatic that he basically told her to butt out because they are tired of her in his life or something or other...on the other hand some are like WTF! stop treating the girl like a**! But most presume it is a set up for their future fight.
I agree that sometimes Chloe does not need to know everything....but she has always been a curious one since the pilot of this show...it's in her blood and her need for answers will never change...that's what makes her good at what she does. I just think he was in a mood, not really wanting to talk..and she got the brunt of his bad mood as she is the closest one to him. It is often the case that we hurt the people we care about the worst.
Actually, I do want them to fight. It has been overdue becuase all friendships have rocky parts to it, and this is no different.
What I do not want to see is some lame attempt by the writers to break up their friendship as some excuse to push something else. They need a little time apart, yes-because time apart makes them grow separately and be stronger friends when together...but I cannot see such a friendship that has been through worse in past seasons fall apart because of a Lexana baby secret!
Please dont let the baby story be the death of everything good on this show!
As for the alleged secret Jimmy/Lois investigative union...hmmm....that sounds like another interesting argument in the works....I get the feeling that everyone will be separated and alone for a while because of all the fallouts, and something big is going to happen to bring them together again.
Hope it is something good. Only time will tell. This is Smallville where anything can happen.

Some fans are saying that Tom's lack of screentime is due to fact that he is busy with his director duties.
If engaging Tom in direction responsibilities is resulting in neglecting Clark Kent's character, what good is it doing to Smallville?
Smallville is doing well so far this season but if this goes on, I think the show will go downhill very quickly.
Remember in the beginning of this season, how so many fans complained about Clark not getting any action and Chloe taking charge of everything?
Smallville lost fans because of that!
Only in recent weeks the ratings picked up because Clark was shown to do things independently without Chloe's constant help and he was shown to embrace his future.
The show will loose more fans if they show less Clark week after week!
Clark is evolving this season. Tom is doing a wonderful job witht this character and this should be his main focus.
Bring Clark back please!
I don't have high hopes with Subterranean but I do hope there is lots of Clark in it!

The only likeable thing about Static, we are getting hints of the return of evil Lionel. I love the creepy Lionel Luthor and I loved the scene where he deleted Chloe’s files as well as the Lex/Lionel scene. I hope he has something nasty up his sleeve. This would be an interesting arc infact the best arc of S6.
I like Lexana. I have a fascination for these darker type of love stories.
BTW, when Lana said to Lex that we should work on the meteor freaks, I was screaming that she should know Clark’s secret now! I want to see her reaction and I want Clark to learn that why Lana wasn’t the girl for him!
Chimmy was cool. Those who complained that the chemistry between Chimmy was not shown because Lollie got all the attention may now be happy. AM/AA chemistry rocked in Static.
And AA rocked as Jimmy Olsen. He is fast becoming my favorite JO of all times.
Lexanaville and Chimmyville was cool, but I missed Tom Welling and Erica Durance.
When will Lois and Clark be back on the show that is.. *ahem*.. about Superman?
Static gets 1.5 out of 5 according to me. That too because my evil Lionel was back and for once Clark did some stuff on his own and told Chloe she doesn’t need to know everything.
Posted by: Shalimarfox80 | November 18, 2006 7:21 AM
This really wasn't amongst the better Smallville eps. IMHO.
It was just incredibly *boring*. Aside from awesome, proactive, relying on himself Clark, nothing else held my interest at all. Go Clark! The rest? Beyond awful.
Posted by: jayjay | November 18, 2006 7:01 AM
One day soon, I live in hope that Clark will return to being an actual participant in his show called Smallville. Not the "Bold and the Lexana" nor the trials and tribulations of how "Jimmy became a man" ... and promptly teams up with EDLois.
This kid storyline is going to go on and on and on and on and on...and Jimmy will gain a spine, EDLois another lightswitch and Ollie will flex something and ripples will be felt all around the world, but most especially in the money bags of the head honchos of this network as they wait with baited breath for EDLois to rip everything masculine from Ollie in one foul swoop by calling him just not passionate enough to be GA. Oh the agony of another Ollie/EDLois ep. *sigh* Those two even made me *DREAD* the idea of the Martian Manhunter. Anything that takes time away from Clark and Chloe and the amazing JG just sucks. MR will get back on the list when he doesn't look like he's sleepwalking through what should have been an emotional ep for him.
My one trump card? Some amazing Chlark looks to be on the horizon and what the hell is Lionel up to?
Oh no wait, I already said that.
Posted by: Logan | November 18, 2006 12:00 AM
Yeah, I watched last nights episode and it had way to much Lex/Lana for my taste and not enough of Clark.
I don't care to see if Lana is pregnant, I don't care about her and Lex. I just want more of Clark.
Jimmy- He is cute in a dorky kinda way.
Who the heck is Martian Manhunter? I might be outdated in my comics for this one heheheh I thought he was an intersting twist.
I missed the Green Arrow/Oliver Quinn and Lois though, just adore them together.
I am kinda wondering with everything that has been said and done so far, if this the last season of Smallville. I don't think they could do anymore storylines.
Posted by: April | November 17, 2006 8:03 PM
I hate how soap opera-like Smallville has become. You need to hire new writers. Who cares if Lana gets married?
Posted by: Brian | November 17, 2006 7:28 PM
It was GREAT to see Clark man up and get all Superman to save innocent people in another part of the country!
And, Lex's iconic nature came out as well in stabbing the Level 33.1 freak and having no regrets.
I'm really enjoying the Lex/Lana and Jimmy is starting to grow on me :)
Chloe was awesome...glad to see her getting more screentime, scenes with Lionel again, and a big storyline with Level 33.1 coming up!
And, I was definitely liking the hint of Martian Manhunter...loved that he flew in front of Clark :)
The season is definitely starting to pick up!
Posted by: Rebecca | November 17, 2006 6:06 PM
So the deed is done and the question popped...more than anything when the show comes back I hope Lex and Lana are stronger than they were in these eps. If Lana fully commits to her decision...honestly, I hope KK gets totally into something so wonderfully different from the usual Lana-storylines. And MR. Poor guy looked bored out of his mind this ep.
Clark is indeed stretching his superhero muscles, which is always a good thing. I was disappointed at how little there was of him though.
Chloe was great and I liked the tension in the last scene between her and Clark. Hints and spoilers suggest good stuff coming for both actors to sink their teeth into and I can't wait.
Jimmy, as adorkable as he is, needs to go soon. Or the Chimmy needs to end.
I'm glad we got a reprieve from EDLois and Green Arrow-ville. Sadly the over-use of the character of GA has made me wary of MM. I loved the character in the comics but the thought of him being the equivalent of a Green Arrow to the second half of the season fills me with dread. I want my show back. Not the guest stars.
Posted by: Mab | November 17, 2006 5:54 PM
I wanted to see more Clark. I'm really interested in which side Lionel is on. He kind of creeped me out in that scene with Chloe, classic Lionel right there.
I love corrupted Lana, don't care much for the Lexana in this episode though. They were too sappy and I felt as if the writers were trying to shove a love story down our throats. I'm so ready for Chloe to drop Lana, I've had enough of that "friendship".
Jimmy was so geeky, I liked him in this ep better then his last one. I noticed he still seems jealous of Clark. I still don't care for the Chloe/Jimmy pairing. I loved, loved proactive Clark. There seems to be some distance between Clark and Chloe I hope they start confiding in each other again.
Posted by: gogeta | November 17, 2006 5:14 PM
It's martian manhunter aka J'onnzz if anyone of you were wondering who the guy who saved Clark was.
Posted by: Naz | November 17, 2006 5:05 PM
First of all i would like to say that i was alittle disappointed that there was less batista scenes. and i also wanted more clark and batista encounter, but whatever it was good enough for me. Another thing, i got so pissed off for lex asking lana to marry him, i think she should refuse it and go back to clark, she knows she still has feelings for him but she went to lex? i dont get it...
Overall i loved the episode, Keep it up.
Posted by: Anonymous | November 17, 2006 4:58 PM
I'm really surprised by the lack of Clark this season. I'm also surprised by the schizophrenic nature of Lana and Lex.
Why is their relationship so... PECULIAR? Is it because they're both meteor infected? (We know Lex was in the field when the first meteor shower happened. Lana was out and about for the second - and she wore a meteor necklace for years. She HAS to be a meteor mutant.) I really don't understand what's going on between them.
Oh, and next time you have a heavy-hitter like Batista guest star? Can we PLEASE have a real fight? Please???
Posted by: Lillian | November 17, 2006 4:09 PM
For starters, I was a little disappointed with Clark's encounter with Batista. It should have lasted alot longer and should have had alot more action. Here is one of Clark's biggest and strongest enemies and Martian Manhunter finishes the job! Maybe Clark needs to start his training so he can learn to fly and use his powers more better.
What would have been a better cliffhanger, would have been if Lex would have shown Lana where 33.1 was moved too(you know Lionel probably told Lex). It could have showed all of the people affected by the meteor showers and it could have shown some of them using their abilities..say behind a protective glass wall that Lex and Lana could have been looking through.
What would have been a better cliffhanger, was during the fight Lana and Lex had an episode ago was that Lana went to Clark for comfort. Lana than decided to go back to Lex and than found out she was pregnant. The episode could have left off as...who is the real father of Lana's baby. Clark or Lex?? Imagine...a possible Superboy!!! Will never happen but that would have been awesome. Well, can't wait for the new episodes to resume!!

I really enjoyed the interaction between Chloe and Jimmy; I think they're so well-matched and realistic as a couple and it's nice to see them get some more screen-time than they've had so far.
However, this is another episode where Clark was all but superfluous, which is ridiculous. I understand why Lana got as much screen-time as she did when they were developing the relationship between her and Clark but I don't see why hers and Lex's story has taken front-and-centre over Clark's, which, in this episode, was not developed beyond the revelation that his deus ex machina apparently does not work against non-phantom escapees of the Phantom Zone (I suppose this would make sense if we had any explanation as to how it worked in the first place; is that something I missed?) and the introduction of the Martian Manhunter.
If it develops Lex as a supervillain, which I saw a little of when he murdered the villain of the week, then I have no problem with the development of arcs involving him. However, I don't think that this should be done at the expense of Clark's story, which is what we saw in this episode.
You know, I almost feel like I'm giving the writers too much credit in assuming that the Green Arrow/"Justice League", Lex/Lana and Phantom Zone-escapee arcs are going to start coming together in a plausible way at some point. Don't let me down.

Go Lexana!
And Lois free episode was just a double bonus!

I wanted more Clark vs. Batista. Other than that, the episode was really good. Lex having 33.1? Lana sticking with him? Chloe on the case? Jimmy getting involved?
AND the Martian Manhunter - I'm excited for the rest of the season.
Still needs more Clark.

To a question posed previously..here is the answer from AA:
"Ausiello: Fans are going to feel as put off as Chloe when she finds out that Jimmy and Lois struck up a secret deal to work together on exposing the Green Arrow. She'll also get to lay into Clark after he gets snippy with her for keeping Lana's little secret. Turns out Miss Sullivan will only take so much from a fella she's been protecting all these years."
I can't freakin' wait to see this blowout!!! I KNEW IT!!! I knew they were preparing for a Chlo-Lo and a Chloe/Clark blowout!!!

I missed Clark. So much.
It was great to see Chloe get on the Luthor's case again. And Jimmy actually being useful, which was fun.
Lana's evil. And I love it.
While there wasn't enough Clark or Batista for it to be a 'good' episode, it was a step in the right direction. Looking forward to seeing more of these 5 (Clark, Chloe, Lex, Lana, and Jimmy) soon!!!

This episode was just terrible

Folks, I think we should say goodbye to Smallville after this season. With some of these plots I do not know how they plan to stretch this show into another season.
Dont get me wrong, I love Smallville, and Static was ok...but with all the baby plots, exploiting latinos, clark barely using his powers, Lex being a sap, and other lame story lines, I just dont know what they intend to do in season 7.
Mark my words...with all the soap opera crap going on now in the first half of the season, I am sure TPTB will try to cram everything in the final few episodes of this season....it will be rushed instead of being properly developed. We have seen them do that countless times before.
I love Smallville, and I will stick with it to the end. I hope they plan to redeem themselves from this Lexana tragedy and 8 minutes of Clark in the 2nd half of the season. Guest stars should not be getting more action than the STAR of the show.

I have a question for anyone that may know the answer:
In some of the Kryptonsite posts I read, it said that AA (I assume it is Ask Ausiello from TV Guide)talked about some pending fight between Chloe and Clark. Is that true?
If it is, I look forward to that because not all friendships are roses and butterflies. And their fighting only brings them closer.
Also, I agree with a previous poster...I want a Chloe-Lana showdown too...most likely about 33.1. Once everything is hashed out and the truth comes to light, they will be closer for it too.

Clark??? Clark who?? I didn't watch Clark...you know the STAR of the show...this is getting again in Lanaville, lana is pregnant lana is alone, lana loves lex, lana is kidnnapped lana is the one who leads to level 33.1 ahggghhb enough with Lana
I really missed Tom last night but the only thing I liked about this episode was Jimmy and MM those two things were great...and the 8:23 min that was deducated to Clark's plot...
Love jimmy love it love it...it gave Super chloe a brak...enoghy with CHLOOGLE Jimmy was more realistic than Chloe ever was
Now waiting until january cause there is no way in hell I am going to watch "Subterranean" sorry the plot does nothing to me and unless you tell me that El Chapulin Colorado and Nacho Libre are going to help Clark or El Chavo del 8 is one of the imigrants I won't watch....maybe the last 5 minutes to see if there a general trailer...other wise count me out...to watch latimnoamricans being "exploted" I just have to turn on my TV and watch my local news.

> There were lots of people in imminent danger. Clark had to choose to save them - to do otherwise would be unheroic.
I like seeing Jimmy step up and be cool and useful. He's a future Pulitzer prize winner, you know. Still jealous of Clark, though.
I miss the Chlark, though. I love seeing them work together - it completely makes me think of Lois & Clark (the show). Of course, I'm also a Chloiser (want Chloe to take the name Lois Lane), so that figures in, too.
I'm loving the return evil Lionel. Of course, I don't believe he was ever good. He's making a power move with Lex, I think. But one his son is going to kill him. Really enjoyed the Lionel/Lex and Lionel/Chloe scenes. Can't wait for more of 33.1.

First of all..*yawn*, *yawn*, *yawn* for most of Static...is the soap opera done yet???..No?..ok...wake me when it's over....
Disliked: all the Lexana love...they were so sweet and "loving" that it was nauseating!!
Lana: "Oh, Lex..at first I had my doubts..but now I just want to see your face again"....blah blah blah. I know TPTB are supposed to give us the impression that they love each other...but geez!...the mush was too much!
And all the hype about the last 5 minutes leaving us "breathless"!...perhaps, if it was because I was gagging with all the nauseating love.....or did they make a mistake and they meant that we would be "blinded" by the bling bling on that ring???...because I swear that ring made my room about 5 times brighter!
Where is the villian that wanted to throw Jimmy out the window last week? PLEASE bring him back!!!! So I figure that Lex will only turn evil when he looses Lana and the baby. That story arc is so predictable that it is sad. The writers are getting lazy.
Otherwise, the episode was bearable...I am still upset about the little time that Clark has on screen, but I will forgive them if it is because he is busy directing Hydro. I hope after that he will be back with a bang!
Liked Jimmy last night: I guess he was not as stupid as they made him out to be previously. He actually saved the day!
THANK THE HEAVENS ABOVE for the return of shady Lionel! I swear, I love that man more every week...what is he up to now?
Liked the investigating by a trio that we dont usually see: Chloe/Jimmy/Lana...thats a new scooby trio...still miss Pete though. But seriously folks...I look forward to a Chloe/Lana smackdown about 33.1.....a showdown with them is long overdue. Wonder how Lana will feel when Chloe does prove that 33.1 exists???
Like I said before: WE NEED MORE CLARK PLEASE!!! Can the boy use his superpowers once in a while??? I was awaiting a smackdown with him and Battista and was sadly disappointed. Wait?...what was that again, superbreath?...heat vision? superstrength?...what? I never heard of those things!!!
Jimmy The Infuriator:...ammm...ok...sure
Finally, what the hell was up with Clark in his loft? So if the Martian Manhunter can only do things you can dream of (like flying)..why dont you start throwing yourself off the roof of the barn and see what you can do???? Stop the whining. I love love love Clark...but the boy looked so sad and confused at the end...
Liked the little pep talk that Chloe gave him. Foreshadowing for the Justice League....yes, even the heroes need to be saved.
ohhh...i just had to put this in....yet ANOTHER episode where Lana falls on the floor and is temporarily knocked out! LMAO!!!

It was good! Batista did a good job in this episode. I would like to see more Smackdown superstars on "Smallville" in future episodes.
Clark is getting in touch with his inner reporter/superhero self. It's about time that he doesn't come to Lex's rescue.
And as for the Martian Manhunter, I'm not sure what it's agenda about, but I'm willing to found out.
Chloe and Jimmy are so good together. I wonder if Chloe will tell Clark that Lana's pregnant or else it'll eat away at her.
My guess is that Lana will turn down the proposal because she doesn't know Lex that well and she needs to know that Lex was the one who broke up her and Clark's relationship.
Can't wait for new episodes!
