Veronica Mars: More Deaths to Come!

We've still got a while to go before new Veronica Mars episodes, so we thought we'd give you some news to tide you over. Coming later this week: catch the cast in other roles!

Accolades from TV Gal
Zap2It's TV Gal picks Veronica Mars as one of the best things on television: "Even a mediocre episode of "Veronica Mars" is better than most things on television. I'd name it one of the best shows on television based on last May's finale alone."

From one Kristen to another (Kristin)
Plus, Kristen Bell spills some secrets to E!Online's Kristin: "Oh, you have not seen the end of the deaths. I don't want to say murders or deaths, but I'll say this: More people kick the bucket before this season is over. You think, How could we possibly? But, we do."

Who do you think will die before the end of Season Three?

i actually like this season of veronica mars but for once will veroinca and logan stay together cuzz they make a really cute couple and he really loves her but she keeps finding a way to mess it up between them and logan is totally hot!!!

I wholeheartedly disagree with these aforementioned posts, as Veronica Mars is still written better than most other television - on any network. Cancelling the show would be one of the worst things The CW could possibly do. The ratings this year are surpassing what it's ever averaged before - so year-to-year gains are something I hope the network is happy with.

And if The CW pulls the plug on Mars, then it might as well pack up any notion of being a "real" network, and just admit it only craves the target demos for the advertising $$$ and be done with it.

Supernatural is the only other decent drama that this second-tier network has. The teeny-boppers who get fanatical about Smallville and One Tree Hill are deluding themselves into notions of 'quality TV' - those shows are just awful, and appeal to the lowest common denominator to get the ratings they do.

And don't even get me started on 7th Heaven - after it's hyped 'season finale' last year, I'm still angry it hasn't been put out of its misery yet. The fact that Everwood couldn't join Mars this fall on the schedule is also an unforgivable shame. Those two shows would have been the critical respectability benchmarks for The CW, regardless of ratings numbers.

I swear, the Nielsen system is an absolutely atrocious bane to quality scripted television.

Eh, Veronica is extremely bad this season. The mid season finale didnt have the shock factor like the other two series did, and its just plain boring. Which sucks, because I loved the first two seasons.

I think Veronica Mars, itself, will see its own death before the finale. That'll be the big death!

I mean think about it...networks ALWAYS cancel at least 1-2 shows to make room for new ones. So since VM is the least watched drama on the network, then don't plan on it returning.
