The CW Fan of the Week: Homegirl's Got Some Great Ideas

The CW Fan of the Week
The CW Fan of the Week: Lisa S. of Florida

Why She Loves The CW: I love the CW because of the diversity. There are dramatic shows, funny shows, family shows, and so much more! The CW is the most diverse channel on network TV today. It has everything and anything a viewer can want. There isn't a show on the network that a viewer can't relate to, or a character. I tune in to it weekly because it offers me something wonderful to watch on a daily basis.

My favorite show to watch is Veronica Mars because of the incredible writing and the tremendous acting. I do not miss an episode of the show and am drawn in to it continually by the intriguing storylines. Rob Thomas truly is a genius!

So, Lisa, tell us more about yourself... I run my own online entertainment magazine called Starry Constellation Magazine. You can check it out at www.starrymag.com. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and playing with my dogs, Starbucks and Ciela. I'm a huge movie fanatic. I also enjoy reading, swimming and video games.

If you were in charge of The CW, what would you do? If I were in charge of the CW, I would bring the show Everwood back to the network. It was such a wonderful show, and it was a shame that it was taken off of The CW and replaced by Runaway. Runaway was canceled almost immediately, but Everwood had an incredible fanbase. Everwood deserved to be brought to the new network.

Develop your own show for The CW: My show would be called High Anxiety. It would be about all the pressures that teens have to deal with in their lives. There is always pressure to get good grades, pressure to be the best athlete, pressure to look the best, etc. This show would help teens with ways to deal with these types of pressure in a healthy way. There are too many teen-based shows that showcase violence and sex. There needs to be more shows that deal with the reality of what a lot of teens go through.

I really enjoy Emily VanCamp, and I think she would be a natural for appearing in the show. She did a phenomenal job on Everwood with her acting when her boyfriend passed away on the show. She really has a lot of depth to her acting and deserves more lead roles. I also would love to see Alona Tal appear on the show. She guest-starred a few times on Supernatural and Veronica Mars. She is a wonderful actress and should get more exposure. With male leads for the show, my stars would be Arlen Escarpeta (who previously was on the show American Dreams) and Matt Long (previously from Jack and Bobby).

"because of the incredible writing and the tremendous acting"???

Clearly someone is a "tv critic wannabe"
but can't seem to explain why Veronica Mars is fun to watch other than using other critics' descriptions? Boston Legal, 24, House, etc... all have even more incredible writing and even more tremendous acting so what is it about VM's? But that comment just made me laugh for days...

And don't forget Alona Tal played the girl we all thought Simon was cheating on Rose with last season on 7th Heaven. More people saw her role there than on the lower rated Supernatural and Veronica Mars.

I agree. BRING BACK EVERWOOD!

Like the online mag, Lisa! Very cool.
