Post of the Week: A Referendum on Reality Television
So many to choose from this week... We definitely had no intention of starting "World War III" with our latest Smallville post. But the weekend is finally here. Phew! Can we put our weapons down now? At least just for a couple of days?
"I don't understand what has happened to television these days. I remember back in the day when vomiting was insinuated and not actually shown. I know that this is reality tv and I understand about keeping it real, but honestly, i don't think showing people vomiting all the time makes for good tv. I actually missed some of the show because I just CAN'T watch people vomit." - doesitreallymatter, in response to PCD Premiere: What'd You Think?
Yeah, we didn't like how real the new reality show Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll got this past week either. Hopefully upcoming episodes won't be so graphic... But what about the reality genre in general? Are you over it? Or are you still jonesing for even more?

Well im very happy that Chelsy wasnt eliminated...its so funny how everytime someone ends up makeing fun of her and saying shes not good enough to be a Pussycat Doll but hey shes in the top three and shes gonna win......(I HOPE)

I absolutely despise reality television.
Don't need to see overly dramatic girls and their cattiness on tv. I lived that in highschool.
Be done with it and get some quality programming.

For the last time, this blog didn't bash anyone or anything. It brought up something to discuss and asked for the fans' opinions. If you disagree with something then say so in a polite and intelligent matter and maybe people will try to see it your way. If not, well then fact is that oponions differ so it's really nothing to get a tantrum over. Get over it already, seriously. Also, if the bloggers on here should voice their oponion (which was not the case here) then great... the good with the bad.
Pussycat Dolls? Something I would never watch. Not only does the premise hold no interest for me personally but reality is some of the most mindless and pointless stuff on TV. No, good fictional stories and strong actors/actresses are what makes a good TV show.

Okay. obviously if the company you work for is bashing YOUR character and YOUR acting abilities, then things are going to get a little serious.
As a lana-fan I am tired off all this Lana/Kristin bashing. I have yet to see Kristin become SOTW, while most other SV cast members have.
Instead of promoting the actors in a leading show, the article is just fueling the fire for the lana/kristin haters and i find it very distasteful.
With such big feedback, what did you actually expect? For fans to just sit around and read an offical cwblog bashing one of their leading actresses?
I find it really sad that i'd be surpised to see an article that actually praises Kristin's recent achievements.

People take things way too seriously. I saw most of those comments in that Smallville post and all I could think of was something along the lines of, "whoa, calm the hell down everybody."
As for the PCD show? Reality tv is so overrated.
