Top Model: Diana, We Hardly Knew Ya
So, it was bye-bye Diana on last night's Top Model. We have to say, we weren't too surprised. Unlike most of the other girls, who've at least had a shining moment of potential, Diana has never impressed us. She has a beautiful face, but she doesn't know what to do with it. Her body could be lovely, but most of the time it's just sort of there. She's so... meh. Twiggy called her "boring and bland," and Nigel said she lacked "oomph." And then when Jay asks her why she wants to be Top Model, she says, "Just cuz."
JUST CUZ!? Come on, girl, even if you have no clue why you want to be Top Model, you've got to know that Tyra want you to WANT it. Not feeling the fire and having the passion can get you eliminated faster than three weeks' worth of bad photos.
And sure enough, that's exactly what happened. Once we saw Diana and Whitney in the bottom two, there was no question who was going home. Whitney had a blah photo, but she's been really strong in previous weeks. Diana? Girl usually fades into the background. Do you think it was her time to go?
Speaking of the bottom two -- we were shocked to see Whitney there with Diana. The judges usually love her! But this could just be a scare tactic to keep her from feeling too comfortable.
And as for the rest of the girls... Bwah! We're still cracking up over Hip Hop Male Natasha's photo shoot. The girl's got drive, and we saw it last night. She pored over magazine pics to study poses. She perfected her homemade Dentyne Ice foil grill just in time for the shoot. She, of all the girls, really BECAME a man. Though her relentless positivity (even in the face of defeat) can be annoying, we have to admire her hard work. Plus, she's funny (even though half the time it's unintentional), and we have a soft spot for any model who can make us laugh. Is Natasha growing on you?
Besides Natasha and the plus-size models, most of the others got next to no camera time last night. We saw a few fun glimpses of Dionne and Jaslene, but hardly any Brittany or Jael (we miss Jael! More Jael next week!). Oh, but Renee still got a few bitchy moments in, arguing that a plus-size model will never make the cover of Vogue (yet only a few months after this episode was filmed, voluptuous Jennifer Hudson graced Vogue's cover! We hope Renee subscribes). Way to make your housemates feel great about themselves! Oh, wait, Renee's not there to make friends. Well, we can't wait until next week when (according to the previews) Jael gives her the smackdown!
Ooh, and what was up with Sarah taking credit for Dionne's artistry at the challenge? Looks like that might've saved her this week! We didn't love that, and neither did Dionne. We don't blame her -- it's so annoying when someone else takes credit for YOUR idea!

Speaking of English language... I do have an accent too, so many times i hear compliments about my cute accent, i kinda see myself in Natasha, we are very similar, I am always upbeat , and only envious people don't like girls like Natasha, she is very cool!!! I have a husband, American, who is 18 years older, very athletic and energetic, we have heartbreakingly beautiful kids and i love him more than anybody could have imagined. I don't like when people judge her for her husband being older than her, i am 35(look like 25) and my husband 53(!), but looks so gorgeous that no one believes it. We all get older but we surely don't have to look like it! This is a comment about her being a Russian bride!

You guys try to go to Russia and talk in Russian TV, it would be very challenging too. Also, she has only spent 3 years in US, her English will improve considerably. Definitely, Natasha will be amazing model! She is undeniably fast learner!

I love jael,and Jaslene. They r both my fav. Nata has started to grow on me too. At first she was annoying, but she is very much improving. She just needs to take lessons on how to take critisim and learn how to shut up when they talke to her. But other than that she is doing fantastic. Jael i would like to know why were u all in 50 cents face. I love u jael out of all the girls, but you really put ur self in a bad situation. I know that the t.v show made it look worse than what it really is, but next time try not to be in everybody's face. Jaslene your doing great as well, but ur at the point that u need to really step it up and stop posing like a drag. Don't take it offensive, but girl u need to rep for the boricua's. Wittell is beautiful, but it is right what the judges say she is just not doing enough. She always makes that same pose with the brow going up. She also is too self consious. Just let go wit it whitt.

America's Next Top Model is a great show.
Natasha(Nata) hopefully will win the competition. She is beautiful and fun. I just hope that her modeling is best for her young son.
Jael is energetic and unique, but sometimes I think that she is wild and spacey.
Renee(NeNe) is mean to the other girls, but after seeing tonight's episode, I understand that it is not her priority to make friends and she is sorry for her nastiness. I feel sorry for the poor girl!
In the beginning of the competition, Jaslene was strong, fierce, tough, and on top. She has slowed down a tad.
Whitney(Whitelle) is pretty and intelligent. Her Dartmouth Ivy League education will enable her to succeed even if she soon get eliminated from America's Next Top Model.
Brittney(Brit) delivers really strong photographs. She has pretty, unique features.
Dionne(Brown) is gorgeous. She transformed in the matter of a week after being told at the judging panel that her look was not sophisticated.

i think that this show is fixed. They already know who is gonna win.I also think that the best model (Felicia) was sent home.Anyway they need to stop critizing Whitney because Tyra is getting fat and out of shape her damn self. I do hope that either Whitney or Jaslene win ,but we all know how this show goes who ever is their favorite whether or not they look like crap is going to win.

ok i understand why diana would have said "just cuz." she was caught off guard etc. etc. but since she's on this show wouldn't you think she would think through all of the awkward, caught off guard questions as obvious as this one?
i thought her face was very ugly- maybe it was the makeup most of the time. her stupid smile and big pouty lips were somehow naive. also she called brittany a bitch once, siding with renee and didn't have any reason to personally dislike her from what we were shown. then she goes against renee. it's like she's extremely wish-washy, her responses are either blah or over the top. diana= predictable.
i love jaslene! she is a fantastic model. tyra is right about the effortless-looking way she can be superb. brittany is under the radar again but is definitely up there- good formula for actually winning.
dionne is probably the most gorgeous, but she doesn't seem to know how to model well. i liked her last shot, but it didn't seem like jay thought she was working well. why didn't he write to tyra about that like he did with whitney's photoshoot?
jael's complexion is awful. i like how she's friends with everyone unlike AJ from last season (the two more punk people). i think jael's last photo shoot was about the character to her rather than trying to just plainly be a boy, which ended up screwing her over in judging. i agree with that guest judge when she said that she would say next to jael in a casting call. when it comes down to it, she looks like a joke!
whitney is always giving that raised eyebrow look in all of her shoots. what's up with that? i love her personality and her drive but it doesn't seem like she has the passion of fashion. maybe we'll see that side of her.
natasha's husband sounds younger than 40 to me but what do i know. and why is she calling her baby "baby." ? i found that kind of weird. maybe she doesn't want the child's name known?
ugh sarah. nigel says she's not conventionally pretty but is in photographs. he said that when they did the dead person shoot. she was hideous in that photo as well as in person. i hate her weird quirky behavior. her crazy head movements and jumpy behavior. and she completely acted like she deserved that challenge win- even to the cameras! it's like sarah... we saw you didn't do anything why bother lying to the viewers??
i'm pissed that renee is very beautiful and can stand out of a crowd. how she can light up a room. she has something special about her- but i HATE her! she says one girl should stop acting like high school when that's her prerogative!
i do respect everything tyra is doing, but let her stop lying to herself thinking these girls could actually make it! no designer wants ANTM associated to their name! tyra's show is making girls want to achieve perfection. something i know the show isn't about for audiences, but that is often what translates over. and tyra is against that in the media, non?

Come on! I hope the judges won't vote based on one pic!!!! Natasha's pic just happened to be one of the good ones but did you Nigel's comment which she was clueless to? I loved her husband's responses to her cries. It seems like he puts up with a lot of her crap. Anyway, she doesn't impress me in the least. I think Jael has more of the chance than she does; she might be groggy, but she's genuine and she has the looks. A little training would help because she has improved. I love her lovingness with the mates. And, she knows how to take criticism.

I wanted to see the rerun last night before I said anything. I really don't think these girls know exctly what it takes to be a model when they get there. I don't think the judges are voting on looks; they are voting on favorites. After seeing last night's show, I noticed that Diana's pic wasn't the only one that looked feminine, so did the rest except for Jaslene's (which was as pretty good as Natasha's) and Natasha's. I think what threw out Diana was her response "just cuz." They need to focus why they are there but the pressure does add up! If anything, their their makeup artists should be the ones to make them look like men.

Well, I don't know how many of you on here are also on myspace, but there are plenty of groups on there devoted to ANTM, and on the whole the general consensus is that Diana is not only bland but not top model material...just looks like a girl you go to school with that blends in with a certain generic pretty girl look. I think she should have been booted off sooner so another girl like for example Cassandra, would have been given more time to impress the judges...

Natasha rocks ! i luv her . Jaslene is also great 2 but in the beginning she started off good and now at panel her name doesn't get called 1st anymore. Jael is out of her mind.......wut's wrong with her?she walks around the house nude!OMG!!! Renee is such a bitch!!She's so mean to the other girls. I was pretty sad when Felicia went home. Renee...total bitch but i hafta admit she is one of the prettiest ones there.
Sarah just bugs me like she is that annoying girl who you put up with but no one really likes her.
Jael total stoner..sometimes I am like what is wrong with her? Not that I don't think she is a good model, she just always seems out of it.
Jaslene is too skinny!! I don't think it is attractive..like it dosen't look right.
Dionne is so so nothing special..

I love love love the show.. My top 3 are dionne, natasha and brittany.. but i cannot stand renee she is so evil and hateful. I feel that she is a nice person but is so insecure with herself that she feels the need to belittle others. I wish she would grow up a little at least for the sake of her child.. and diana did not deserve to go home..just like felecia didnt.. they were both gorgous

Is anyone else upset about why Twiggy loves Renee so much and why Jaslene was called towards the end. Jaslene had the best photo last night(besides Natasha) and i thought she deserved some credit. Whats also annoying is the judges say they want to see some personality, but where can they show it. Tyra took away those challenges, so there is now way to show personality. Renee is and always will be Renee, but how dare she say that about plus size models. I bet if the judges heard about that they wouldn't love Renee so much. My top three is Jaslene, Natasha, and Brittany.

Loved Natasha!!! She is progressing so fast - it scarry ;-p I remember her 1st try - she didn't know how to pose. Look at her now! I think only 3 girls deserve to be top three - Jael, Jayslene and Natasha (before the last fotoshoot, I wouldn't think about Natasha)
