Breaking News: Gilmore No More -- Series Finale May 15
We just heard from The CW that Gilmore Girls will air its SERIES finale on Tuesday, May 15.
Yes, it's true. We're still in shock! And we wish we had better news for you. We know how much you adored the Gilmores and how much you wanted another season. We were really hoping for more Gilmore -- even the 13-episode season that we heard rumors about, but it looks like we only get two more new Gilmore episodes and that's it.
Below, the statement from The CW and Warner Bros. Television regarding Gilmore Girls:
"Announcing the final season of 'Gilmore Girls' is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and 'Gilmore' fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves."
Gilmore Girls, you will be missed.

I was sick 2 my stomach when I heard it was the end. I hate the person who ended it. I cried on the last show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and what kind of end was that. It was wrong and uncalled for. And making rory and logan brake up. Every one knew that thay should be together 4 ever! I'm even disappointed and disguised by The PEOPLE who took over. so I hope
cw reconsiders there tearable mistake and puts gilmore girls back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that the only reason I ever watched CW was to watch Gilmore Girls and the final episode did not do it justice at all. First of all most shows that go off the air usually get 2hrs, secondly it had a horrible ending, and thirdly i think i speak for everyone i know that it was a bad move to take it off the air in the first place. I really hope that CW changes this huge disaster that they call a series finale.
Posted by: Caitlin | June 27, 2007 8:22 PM
Gilmore Girls was the only show i really watched on tv. You need to bring it back becuase the ending of season seven was horrible and the fans deserve closure not some two hours of horrible quick fixes. Bring gilmore girls back or the CW will suffer a hige loss of ratings.

Can I just say that Gilmore Girls was one of THE BEST shows on television. It was funny and witty. I know that there are a lot of girls out there who have kids when they are 16 and think that their life is over. Well, to all those girls, just look at Gilmore Girls. Lorelei is a great mother who doesn't depend on anyone but herself and Rory graduated from YALE!!
thank you Gilmore Girls

You have Robbed the Die Hard FANS!! You have Stolen the Magic from the core of CW's Fan Base and Your number crunchers can tell you what is obvious to anyone that looks at the bottom line. You are bottoming out now! GG was holding it's own! You had some Good FAMILY VALUE SHOWS but when you started canabilizing them and replacing them with skanky reality shows and these other Drunken TEENY Booper Shows that debase Teens and Doesn't Promote Self Worth! Just Sucide EMO projections in personalities or Backstabing Witches in Gossip Forms!! There are other Teenagers that ACTUALLY WANT Better Lives and Actually DO TREAT PEOPLE BETTER out there! BUT WHEN YOU feed 9 year olds and 10 year olds trash about how glamours it is to get drunk..with What your Fall Shows are this year and you take away Good FAMILY SHOWS like GG YOU Will have PEOPLE TURNING TO DVRS and DVD's MORE and MORE NOW! AND Guess What We are Writing to the Advertisers and they are Responding they are all about Customer Service Because they want to Make US HAPPY WE KEEP THEM in Business TOO!!! SOMEBODY DOES LISTEN TO US!! EVEN IF YOU Chose NOT TOO!! IT's Your Choice if you want to destroy the Faithful Fans of GG and all the Suport we have given ALL THESE YEARS>>>>BALL Is IN Your COURT!http://gilmoregirlspetition.wetpaint.com/

Bad Bad DECISION CW.....I am sadly disappointed to see the show end especially on the note that it did! The way the show ended just left a nasty taste in my mouth...I think the show could of ended on a better note! What a joke!
Posted by: Angelia | May 29, 2007 10:37 AM
I just cannot believe that the CW took away its BEST show on the network. Why??? It's too bad the WB is gone because honestly it seems that some terrible decisions are being made by the CW. There are so many Gilmore Girls loyal fans that are thoroughly disappointed with not only the fact that this great show has ended, but how it ended. Now what are we left with? The Next Pussycat Doll??? How ridiculous. Way to get rid of authentic, different, entertaining material. And another thing... Where did Related go?? That show was great and of course when CW took over it was dropped. Another HUGE mistake. I think Gilmore Girls fans identified with Related as well, and now we don't even have that to fall back on. The CW has proven to be a major disappointment in my eyes.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! YOU CAN NOT JUST END GILMORE GIRLS!!! IT IS A LIFE STYLE!!!!! AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORIGINAL WRITER, I MEAN COME ON! AND LOGAN WASN'T EVEN IN THE LAST EPISODE!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HECK??????????????
BRING BACK GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Kimberly | May 26, 2007 8:38 PM
Even though it ended on a good note, I think that The CW should bring it back.
I know that I was not really for the show to leave, they were things that still need to be worked out.
Please bring Gilmore Girls back for 13 more episodes.

This was an insult to the the intelligent and witty show that The Gilmore Girls were known for. This was a total disgrace. The network should be ashamed of itself, this was one of the best shows on TV today, and they decided it was time to end it. WHY???? My daughter and I have watched this show from the very first episode and have all of the DVD's. We too are just a cookie as the Gilmore Girls, we too are best friends, although there are 30 years between us. It was such a fun and enjoyable show, and the finale (actually the final season) left us dry. It just didn't flow the same way. It was not consistant with the rest of the seasons. Even the actors seemed lost and a little off in the finale. It appeared as if they too felt that they were not acting as their characters would have played this out. What a terrible dissapointment. I hope the CW sees the error and brings back the Gilmore Girls, with their original creators/writers, as only they have the vision to see the story play out, as it SHOULD have.
The network destroyed this series as it has done to a number of other shows. It is a shame with all the murder, blood and guts, and reality shows on TV today, this was a fresh and pleasant change of fare from the garbage on TV. It portrayed a clean cut, family type program that just isn't seen anywhere else. I hope the CW changes it's mind and realizes their mistake.

I only watched CW channel for gilmores girls, one tree hill, and everwood. you took away everwood,:( Now gilmore girls :( :( :( I only have one tree hill and when you take that away I will no longer watch the CW any more but I'm sure you don't care, or you wouldn't take away all the good showes. So Rory and Lorelei THANK YOU for the good seasons. I wish I could have seen Loreli and luke get married, and have a baby. Then Rory and Logan get married, then move to San Francisco. That would have been a better ending.Sorry to see the show END :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the series finale made me cry (on the inside). it was a huge disappointment!! why did they wrap it up just like that. another season, please! :(
it left us all hanging

I AM OUTRAGED! GILMORE GIRLS WAS THE BEST SHOW THAT I WATCH. CW HAS GONE DOWNHILL SINCE IT TOOK OVER FOR WB. FIRST CHARMED, THEN RELATED THEN EVERWOOD NOW GILMORE GIRLS. THE ENDING WAS LEFT WIDE OPEN FOR A COMEBACK SO~~~COME BACK! NICE JOKE BUT NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. BRING BACK THE GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!!!!! MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE A LOT LIKE LORELAI AND RORY. WE HAVE FUN TOGETHER LIKE THEY DO. THIS STINKS~~~AND WITH NO, I MEAN NO NOTICE! I HAVE NOTHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO ON TUESDAY NOW. THANKS A LOT!

I loved Gilmore Girls and will mourn its passing as I would mourn the passing of a good friend. Still not clear why it was cancelled...
Posted by: Melissa | May 18, 2007 11:58 AM
Very disappointed at the decision of the network's cancellation of the TV's best family show ever. Still can't believe it. CW will need to bring it back for the 8th season or it will lose a huge audience.
Posted by: Renee | May 18, 2007 11:29 AM
I can not believe it ended that way I hated it and after all these years that was your bog finale !!!! Even the worst episodes beatthe crap out of the last one
Posted by: ash | May 17, 2007 11:24 PM
The series finale was not as good as I had hoped, still leaves me wanting another season. I am holding out hope that there may still be an 8th season. Hoping that the cast and CW will wake up and realize how much this show has meant to everyone and give it another year. There is nothing out there on TV worth watching anymore, this was the only show I turn my TV on for. Is there anything else that fans can say or do to get this changed?????? Please, please...... We need more Gilmore Girls!!!!

I've watched this show for years. I can't picture sitting on the couch on a tuesday night without having a new update on the twists and turns in the life of the gilmore girls.
Posted by: Gilmore Lover | May 17, 2007 6:54 AM
and what about Lukes boat trip with april?what happened to all of that?they had planned so much for the show, and then they just ended it.i relaly did like the finale.but i hate that its gone.i dont understand it.

i think you guys are lame.
and stupid.gilmore girls was the best show on the air-seriously.and the fact that you dont even care that its ending really makes me mad.you know, its not just a show to some people.its like a whole new world that all of us can go to on tuesday nights where there's silly town people and always something to laugh about.i have watched that show since the first season, when i was six years old.i have grown up with that show and it has become a part of my life.i look at lorelai[lauren graham] like i know her personally, even though i dont.and laurens interviews are unbelievable.i thought she cared about Gilmore Girls?guess i was wrong.ill miss gilmore girls so much.will you guys at least still play re-runs?or is that too much for you?
Posted by: Jessica | May 16, 2007 8:34 PM
i think the finale was absolutely perfect. it was moving and sentimental without being soppy, and it didn't end as though these characters were done.
it was classic gilmore girls - quirky towns people, and a moving storyline. i was crying for the entire second half of it!
gilmore girls has been something that i've grown up with, and i couldn't have asked for a more perfect finale. it gave the sense that all the characters have these great futures ahead of them, and that their 'lives' don't just end with the show.
i tip my hat. perfect.
Posted by: torzi_bom | May 16, 2007 8:26 PM
What kind of idiots are actually making the decisions at CW? Cancel Gilmore Girls, yet continue to run stupid random reality shows and fake wrestling. How insulting to your viewers! I know that the CW will be losing a large portion of its viewing audience next season. Maybe then they will start to pay attention to people who appreciate quality shows.

I feel like I've lost my best friend and mother. I stumbled upon GG at the beginning of my law school career. Star's Hallow was my secret world away from husband, school, and life. No matter where I moved, how bad my life got, my friends of Stars Hallow were always constant and always there. They were the community of friends that I was fortunate enough to share with my real life friends scattered throughout the country. There will never be anything as special on television again, and never had there been prior. The only better alternative would be a good novel. With love and condolences forever, Mandy T.

What a pity the writers felt the need to gather together in a room & write trite conclusions to complex, sincere, diverse characters. The series finale fell so short of a proper sendoff & seemed uninspired. I was expecting something amazing, something like Stars Hollow, the quaint little town with genuinely lovable characters with flaws. Alas, the ending had no storyline other than goodbye & few wrap ups & illusions. GG will be missed & the finale didn't do this fine ensemble justice. Best of luck to all the fine thespians, visit us with a special that is special soon - please :)

I am very disapointed to hear that Gilmore Girls is over. I mean Lorelai and Luke kiss at the end and now ill never see if they will go back together.
Posted by: Anja | May 16, 2007 11:47 AM
It was a very short, rushed ending very very sad! Although I do see alot of potential storylines. If only it were true! So sad to see it go. I probably won't be a genuine loyal fan again for another show its much to sad when it ends.

I was extremely disappointed at the announcement of the abrupt end of the show a few weeks ago. I had no idea how emotional I would be watching the final episode! While it was a beautiful episode (you could feel the love), it was too short and did leave some storylines unfinished. I think the show had such an effect on me as I have three girls. I started watching the show with my oldest, now 18, and am now watching it with my middle one, age 11. I know it had to end sometime, but I think it was premature. (10 years is a good amount of time.) While we will watch the reruns, Gilmore Girls will be sorely missed.

The Series Finale was beautiful. Everyone was happy and getting along, just as I hoped it would end. Thanks Gilmores for giving us a great seven years, you will be missed by us the Palushaj family, who every Tuesday night gathered around the TV to watch you grow, and to grow with you! My two boys 8 and 4 loved the show too and my Husabnd Tony is the one who watched the first ever show and told me to watch with him saying it was one of the best things on TV. That was 7 years ago! Goodbye Gilmores!

This one of the sadest endings ever! I grew up with Rory! I am sorry to see it end but am glad it came full cirle wish there were more seasons to come! Especially after losing Everwood over 7th heaven and now 7th heaven too! This is a total bummer! I love Gilmore Girls never missed an episode! You guys inspired me! Whats left and whats next???????????
Posted by: Allyssa | May 16, 2007 2:13 AM
I was expecting this to be disappointing as they weren't even sure that they were ending the show when it was filmed, but I could live with this ending. Luke and Lorelai together just seems so perfect. I just wish the Rory storyline had wrapped up so well. Yes, she has a job that could benefit her eventually but what about her life after it. I still wish there was one more season to wrap the story up completely, but since there won't be, I am pleasantly surprised by the effort the writers put into making this almost perfect ending, to one of televisions greatest shows ever.

I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY IT ENDED.....LAME!!
So, what DID SOOKIE HAVE???
And did Lorelai really get together with Luke? are they going on that boat trip? just too many loose ends, and ended NOT smoothly, but very rocky. I COULD HAVE WRITTEN A BETTER FINALE..THAT'S PRETTY PATHETIC
Posted by: doreen | May 15, 2007 11:55 PM
I am extremely disappointed in the finale of this show! Gilmore Girls is my very favorite show in the whole wide world! I have followed it through all 7 seasons, loving the witty humor and fun! Please reconsider taking it off the air. Especially since you are taking 7th Heaven off too! Both shows I love! Thank you!

Great ending to a great show! I'm proud of Rory for doing the right thing, and I'm glad Lorelei and Luke can start again. Some series finales can be so unsatisfying, but the "Gilmore Girls" left me fulfilled. I am proud to be a fan. It's been a wonderful ride!
Posted by: deefromsanpedro | May 15, 2007 11:10 PM
No reason to watch CW anymore.....No good shows. Bring Gilmore Girls back and you might have success...
It was truly the best show on TV today. Poor decision making by network.
Posted by: Chris | May 15, 2007 10:26 PM
I think an hour has never felt shorter than tonight while watching the last episode of Gilmore Girls. Tonight felt so incredibly rushed - doesn't this fantastic series deserve a two-hour finale or at least another hour to reminiscence or bring back Amy for a documentary-style "looking back"? I feel short-changed, and I don't think I will be forgetting about this feeling for a long time. I have never shed tears about a show's demise before until now.
Posted by: Jane | May 15, 2007 10:20 PM
I know this sounds pathetic, but I feel like someone is breaking up with me or that I am losing a best friend! I cried through this last episode because I was so sad. I loved every episode of this show and am going to miss it tremendously. I don't know if it is at all possible, but PLEASE bring it back for just one more season. I need to know what happens to Rory and Luke & Lorelai and Logan!
Posted by: Kristal | May 15, 2007 9:56 PM
This show meant a lot to me and my daughter (as I said in a previous post). It is our great good fortune that our relationship is very like Rory and Lorelei's. Every Tuesday night during the season, for the last 7 years, we have made it a point to be home to watch GG, until my daughter went to college. Even then I taped it every week for her.
A few of those years, I taught night classes. The one night I refused to teach was Tuesday. It was so nice to sit on the couch snuggled with my daughter and laugh and feel warm and fuzzy that they put our relationship on TV. The GG were like family.
And I am adamant. For us, CW is done.

Posted by: bonnie Lickers | May 15, 2007 9:36 PM
I have loved this show since it began, but I have to say that the last episode was rushed. If your a fan who has followed the show, you will be disappointed there is too much unsaid. No closure what so ever! I feel really disappointed, I followed something through and the ending didn't pay off.

I would like to thank all the stars of Stars Hallow and producers for creating a wounder show that shows that it's okay to strong and foward about the way you feel about life. We sure are going to miss our tuesday night family more then you could ever know. fare well and best wishes to all. thank you, you all will be missed

Gilmore Girls is a show that I have been able to enjoy with all of children, ages ranging from 11 to 27. We are sad to see it end, and if the power of the people had any say, the network would bring it back. Good-luck to all the fabulous cast, you were all wonderful. Thanks for making us feel like we knew you all.
The show will be missed tremendously.

It was the best episode ever, but just knowing it would be the last was so sad. i believe they could have made an agreement just to end the series of how most fans expected, This is one of the few shows i actually sit @ a specific time to see. Goodbye gilmore girls..... I wish there were an 8th season

Ok, I just wathced the last episode. And I'm sorry to say, but it was a bit dissapointing becuase I was expecting something a bit more grand. I've watched Gilmore Girls for more than 3 years and I'm really sad that it's all over now and I think that they should have had at least one more season to show everything that happens afterward and sum it up a lot better than what it did tonight. It just kind of ended with the last episode, only giving you hints about what's supposed to happen later in their lives, which we'll never see.

What am i supposed to do on a tuesday night without a new episode of Gilmore Girls.i know the ending of the show was inevitable but did it really need to coem this soon?
Posted by: Charissa | May 15, 2007 8:16 PM
Gilrlmore Girls is the only showI am hooked on. I don't understand why they would want to end it. We are at a major turning point we have been waiting for for 7 years. I am hoping we will be surprised and they will be back on next season. They could even do a spin off where we have the main characters. I could write up so many other sceario's...they can not be out of stories yet. BRING IT BACK...I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! They didn't even have a final ending....they still left us hanging...COME ON PEOPLE!!!!
Posted by: Carole | May 15, 2007 8:08 PM
the worst series finale ever! if they had to do this to the fans they needed to make it an entire 2 hours and not had a commercial every two minutes, they did a terrible job of tying up the loose ends, they obviously put no thought into the story line for the fans sake, it was one of the worst episodes of the series it did not fit with the past episodes and needed more gilmore banter....and by the way if they could bring back 7th hevean that was clearly over for a long time why would they cancel a show people actually watch...i am so annoyed i may stop wacthing teh cw shows all together since they can clearly cancel shows with the drop of a hat and put no effort to the memory of a show people loved

Even though I don't watch the show anymore, it will be sad to see it go. This has been one of my favorite shows for the past few years. I'm sad that the series finale will be without Jess, who was always my favorite character. I'm glad I watched this show and I'm glad for all the life lessons it taught me. There will never be another show quite like Gilmore girls.

This makes me sick !! CW and Warner Bros. should have kept GG for just a single other season...I think that they r rushing the end and I dont think that tonight's finale will be all that it could've been..But, maybe I'm wrong.. I love GG though and obviously very upset to see it go and I won't have anything else to watch on Tuesday nights..Anyway, Bye Gilmore Girls !! Everyone Loves You !! xOxOx

I hope the finale gives everyone a happy ending. I am a big fan of the show and sorry it has ended which will end my cw viewing. I will however, follow all the incredible actors on the show in their other pursuits. But I will miss them on the show because I loved the concept of it and really sad to see it end.

I'm sooooooo sad that the girls are going off. I remember I didn't start watching until season two when my mother kept telling me to watch the show that it reminds her of us and I watched and became instantly hooked. I still have faith that they may come back one more season they said the same thing about 7th Heaven and Girlfriends so I'm not counting them out. Well I can still enjoy the reruns and Marathons well farewell to my girls!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not say anything any different than the sentiments already here. I love and will miss The Gilmore Girls very much. My daughter, son, and I all used to watch the show together and when my daughter turned 18 and moved out we would still talk about the show each week. My son and I still watch together and even he is sad. The only one that is happy is my husband, because that I will finally stop talking about this show. I have been crying for 2 weeks. I know this show can not go one forever, but why not...... Star Trek did.

Goodbye Gilmore Girls. I am sad to see the series end so abruptly. Over the years, though, I have enjoyed all the episodes and have great memories of watching the show with my mom. If they have televisions in heaven, Mom will be watching the final show.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It's the only show I watch on TV and will miss my "Gilmore/Stars Hollow family" so much.
Posted by: Midge | May 15, 2007 10:26 AM
I agree with everything said below.
Gilmore Girls has been my favorite show since the beginning...Now that it's ending, along with 7th Heaven, I am basically showless..which sucks.
The CW is seriously going down hill. All the shows they have on air now are awful.
The CW is going to be losing a lot of people..they better air some more good shows..

It's all for money! They really don't care what the fans want when they get an idea or offer for more money. Unfortunetaly all business is like that.

I am not young and I dont have a daughter or anyone else that I watch this with. In fact, the only other show I ever watched on this network is also ending and I have never seen anything else worth my time though I tried that Mars show.
This was by far one of the best acted and written and unique shows in the last 20 years and I will miss it terribly. It never got put on a regular basis, was preempted and rerun and still kept an audience which is something all networks seem to do and it costs them the show. Look at Lost for example, and other former hits, now all a bust or gone. What a shame that there is so much crap on TV that losing a gem like this makes it all the more sad. I guess like the actors this will free up more of my time as well.

I don't watch much tv, my life is busy, but this is the one show i would sit myself down and watch religiously. I will miss all my girls terribly.

Gilmore Girls was the last of a generation of quality programming on the CW. My family and I followed Gilmore Girls for 7 years. Because my daughter went to college and couldn't get GG, I taped it for her every week for the last 2 years.
This was the last show we watched on the CW. Certainly makes deciding what to watch on Tuesday night easier. Don't even have to keep CW2 on my favorites button on the remote because there is nothing left to watch on the CW. Bye-bye.

i can't believe you are doing this first 7th heaven and now gilmore girls if you do this they wouldn't have any other shows to watch. This is so bad and I am so mad because this is my favourite show and I have always watched Gilmore Girls. It was fun and interesting to watch.
Posted by: Kelcey | May 14, 2007 9:45 PM
I just found out today that Gilmore Girls is endi!ng tomorrow! I can't believe it, and worse is that my TiVo didn't record last week's show! Gilmore Girls has a lot of life left in it & I will truly miss it. I won't have anything to look forward to on Tuesday nights anymore!
Posted by: marta | May 14, 2007 8:30 PM
I am pissed that Gilmore Girls are ending. You have gotten rid of all my favs and now I will no longer be watching the CW. I looked foward to watching 7th Heaven, Reba, and Gilmores Girls. You at the CW are going to be sorry you are ending or have ended the shows cause you are going to lose alot of viewers. Like others I think the other crap on CW are not worth my time. They are CRAP. So after tomarrow you have just lost one more viewer.
Posted by: Miranda | May 14, 2007 5:25 PM
I am extremely upset and hurt that I wasn't told sooner that the show was ending. I only had a week to prepare myself for my favorite all time show to be over FOREVER!! Every week I looked forwarded to watching these people who we're like "family" in some way I was actually able to relate to them. I just can't believe its over. I need another season I think all of us Gilmore Girl fans need another season. You can't put Luke and Loralie back together and give Sookie and Jackson another baby and Rory finish college and become something, and give Lane babies and just leave it like that. I'm just very upset that it has to end like this!

Gilmore Girls was a Staple in mine and my husbands life for the past 6 years.
Tuesday nights no matter what we followed the gilmore's and stars hollow!
We wish it could be changed and come back for another season. This will leave so much open and unanswered.
Very very sad!!!

When I first heard that Gilmore Girls had only two episodes left, I literally sat down and cried. I couldn’t believe it, and still cant. Watching the Gilmore Girls changed a lot of me, it helped me grow up. I just wish that they had at least one more season. Well Gilmore Girls, you'll be loved and missed. I know that its just a show, but sometimes you learn to love things that make a difference.
Bye.

There hasn't been a show that has offered the audiance the opportunity to have to actually think and related a show to themselves. I can think of at least 30 people that I have gotten hooked on Gilmore Girls just in the last 18 months, and it has been the content, the actors and the believability of it all that has kept us coming back. I am very sad that I missed the next to the last episode, it was pulled because of the fire coverage, and was rescheduled on a Saturday night with no prior knowledge. My Tvo didn't catch it, and you don't seem to allow it to be watched here. Bring it back and finish up the story. . . . don't leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth, just because you don't have the writers. My daughter and I could write it for you. That's our lives up on the screen. Don't let it end this way.
Please.

Now that Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven leaving the air I will no longer need to watch the CW because these are the only two shows i like on this station.
Posted by: Mandy Wessel | May 13, 2007 7:27 PM
I am extremely disappointed in the network for not assuring an amazing future for this show. It is an inspiration for teens and parents, in general, mothers and daughters more specifically. I personally do see why a need to continue to watch anything that remains on the network. With the loss of 7th Heaven, and now Gilmore Girls, I see this station slowly going up in flames. The end of Gilmore Girls, for me, was more than a personal disappointment, it truly seems like a bad business move.

As I sit in this world and watch a generation of children growing up and "hooking" up with anyone and everyone... and I watch thier parents sitting there asking themselves where did this come from, I have wondered, where does this come from? Well... I'll tell you, it comes from all the disgusting shows about teens "hooking Up" ( having sex with everyone like it was "cool"). Gilmore Girls is only 1 of less than a handful of shows that had a wholesome subject matter and was suitable for a FAMILY to watch.. Do you network people understand FAMILY or is it all about sex down there, sex sells if you want to breed a society of prostitutes. Lets keep our evening "soap opera free"... Do us all a favor KEEP Gilmore Girls and programs like it!

AAAHHH!!! I AM NOT GOING TO HAVE ANYTHING TO WATCH ANY MORE!!! GILMORE GIRLS IS THE ONLY SHOW I WATCH AND I MEAN THE ONLY I WATCH THE DVDS OVER AND OVER...HOW IS THE CW GOING TO CANCEL AN AMAZING SHOW LIKE GILMORE GIRLS BUT KEEP 7TH HEAVEN!!!??? 7TH HEAVEN IS AWFUL AND HAS BEEN BEATEN UNTIL THERE IS NO LIFE LEFT IN IT!!! THERE IS A TON OF LIFE IN GILMORE GIRLS!!! LET IT LIVE ON!!!

I am so upset about the ending of Gilmore Girls, you are making a big mistake. Ive been watching it since it first came out.
But what I really dont understand is why keep 7th heaven I mean you take it off but then you put it back on stupiddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Asha747 | May 12, 2007 7:56 PM
They should at least have another Season to end all the story lines , there are too many questions still unanswer, THIS SHOW IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV, COME ON. If Seven Heaven can come back for one last season; so can Gilmore girls. SPECIALLY THEM, THEY TOTALLY RULE!!!
Posted by: Emiay | May 12, 2007 2:31 PM
WHY !?!?!?!?!?! WHY WOULD THE ONLY SHOW THAT IS WORTH WATCHING BE TAKEN FROM THE AIR? LET'S PLEAD OUR CASE FIRST TO LAUREN AND ALEXIS. YOU HAVE MILLIONS OF FANS HERE YOU ARE JUST CRUSHING. THEN TO THE STATION, GIVE THEM ANYTHING THEY NEED TO GET THEM TO STAY! I FOR ONE, AND KNOW MANY OTHERS WILL NEVER WATCH A SHOW ON THE WB AGAIN. HOW DO YOU LET THIS HAPPEN? THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW ON TV WORTH WATCHING FOR ALL LEVELS OF PEOPLE..THERE ARE SO MANY STORY LINES STILL LEFT OPEN.WE HAVE BEEN ON A 7 YEAR JOURNEY WITH THEM AND NOW, WHAT? NOTHING!!!! SO SAD!!! LISTEN, AT LEAST GET ANOTHER SEASON WHERE YOU CAN END IT PROPERLY..NOT LIKE THIS! WE AS GG FANS PLEASE OUR CASE!!!! THANKS

I cried this week when the episode was over. This is wrong. CW could do something but they just are not! I WILL NOT Be watching CW again - ever. They are awful. To not find a way to end this show properly is wrong. To just give up and say - there are two episodes left is wrong and they know it. They are cheap and I hope they loose enough viewers that they have to do something to bring it back even for just 16 episodes.

This season writing team has done a so-so job. I am glad it is ending. But nothing will be the poor ending I will have to watch. It will not give the full circle of knowledge we would request. No peak into their future. The first show was all about R's future and plans and L's making her own destiny. It will end like a full course meal without a proper sweet.
Tisk Tisk Writers...lacking imagination in creating a proper ending for their loyal fans.
Posted by: Maria | May 11, 2007 7:35 PM
I have to add my discontent and request to have a reversal of decision on ending this series as well!
I watch very little television and this was one of the very few shows that I do watch. It's been a tradition for my daughter and myself to take the time to sit down TOGETHER and watch it each week.
I do hope that those in charge will reconsider this as I, for one, am really upset that a quality show such as this one is being removed when there are such garbage shows on television nowadays!
I hope this serves as a type of petition as I don't even see an explanation as to WHY this show is being considered over! I'm highly upset at this potential loss!

Wow. I hope this is wrong. The Gilmore Girls started airing right after my divorce and it bonded my twin girls who were 13 at the time with me. We still watch every Tues. night and if one of us has to miss the others call to give a play by play. We also call each other during commercials. This is the only show that I have ever bought all the series for. I can watch them over and over. So if it is CW please rethink this choice and if it is The Girls, please don't leave us. We love you and you pull us into your lives in a way no other show has ever done. So in hopes I send this comment.

Writing blogs can't be the only thing we can do. Gilmore Girls keeps me going. I can't imagine how life would be with out. CW, you say that Gilmore Girls helped set your foundation. SO GIVE THEM A GREAT ENDING. This show is too good to let it slip away. GG deserves so much better. I am in shock I don't even think it has set in yet. So . . . until i can find something more to do all I can do is beg you not to cancel Gilmore Girls. But if none of you stuck up producers will listen . . . I will miss the Gilmore Girls forever.

I CAN'T BELIVE THIS SHOW IS ENDING IT'S SO STUPID! THE CW IS GETTING RID OF ALL IS GOOD SHOWS AND I HAVE VERY FEW REASONS TO KEEP WATCHING AND I WILL PROBALY JUST STOP WATCHING ALL TOGETHER. THIS WAS THE CW BEST SHOW AND NOW IT'S GONE. OMG! I CAN'T BELIVE THAT THERE WAS A BIG COUNTDOWN 4 ALL THE OTHER ENDS OF SHOWS BUT THEY ONLY TELL US WITH 2 SHOWS TO GO! GOD! HOW DUMB! THEY LEFT TO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS.THEY NEED TO HAVE AT LEAST 1 MORE SEASON AND END WITH LUKE AND LORELEI TOGETHER AND RORY AND LOGAN MARIED. TOGHTHER!

Well, we are in shock. I am a single mother, just like Loralei. When Gilmore Girls started, my daughter and I watched the show non stop. Through the last several years she has left to live with her dad and whenever she came back to live with me it always seemed to be a glue for us to watch what was going on in Loralei's and Rory's life. I wish the best to ALL the cast; you all will truly be missed. Marsha

I cant believe that this show is ending. this is one of my favorite shows. it;s so sad!!:( The reasons that this show is ending is because the person that plays Rory (Alexis) didn't sign up for another season because she didn't want to do it anymore and the person that plays Lorelei (Lauren) didn't want to do it without Alexis. I found this out because i saw it on E news a couple weeks ago and then it was undecided if the show was going to be canceled or not.but since Alexis didn't sign up, Lauren didn't want to do it without her so this is why it is canceled and i am sad to see this show go because this was one of my favorite shows. :'(

OMG, I LOVE Gilmore Girls, I can't believe it's over-PLEASE do another season!! This show Rocks! It's quirky, funny, touching...the writers are wonderful! It's one of the things that makes me happy in life, and not much makes me happy these days. My Tuesday night happiness will be gone!!!!! :-( It's true, all the stupid shows are left on TV, the reality shows. None of the good family shows are left, we need more of that in this crazy world.

OH MY GOD!!!
BY ENDING THIS SHOW YOU ARE ENDING EVERYONE'S FAVORITE SHOW.
I WILL DIE WITHOUT THE GILMORE GIRLS.
I HAVE A STRESSFUL LIFE WITH AN OVERBARING MOM, AND A MEAN BROTHER.
THE ONLY TIME I WAS EVER HAPPY IN MY LIFE WAS BY WATCHING GILMORE GIRLS. THIS SHOW CREATED AN ALTERNATE REALITY FOR EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR MOTHERS. IT ALSO GIVES ME A WAY THAT I WOULD WANT TO RAISE MY CHILDREN WHEN I AM OLDER, OF COURSE I'D BE MARRIED THOUGH!
ENDING THIS SHOW IS A CRIME AND YOU WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD ABOUT WHY YOU TOOK THIS AWAY FROM US!!
I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE DOING THIS TO ME!!!

Gilmore Girls has been my one and only "guilty pleasure" as a mom of three girls myself. I think my heart stopped when I heard the announcement that the series finale would air next Tuesday. That news is very upsetting as I can not seem to get it off my mind. I love the show and watch reruns whenever possible, I am sadden to hear that such a nice family show would end when there is still so much potential to continue. Please reconsider the decision and give us more Gilmore Girls. I think it is a grave error to end the show at this time. There are so many twists and turns left to be taken. I don't know if messages from fans ever make a difference, but I am sure hoping it will. Thanks so much!

HOW COULD YOU????
YOU DONT JUST TAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS AWAY FROM PEOPLE WITH NO WARNING. EVERY OTHER STUPID SHOW YOU YAKE OFF HAS A BIG COUNT DOWN. BUT YOUR ONLY GREAT SHOW GETS NOTHING. THIS IS JUST SO UNFAIR. I HOPE YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU ARE TAKING AWAY FROM PEOPLE. THE GIRLS DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS STUPID SORRY EXCUSE FOR A TV STATION. NO MORE CW FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. THAT'S IT!!!!

This is so sad, it's not like their are alot of good shows on anymore as it is. I had tears in my eyes when I heard the news. The girls have become like family over the years, and a major part of the way I've raised my own daughter. I dont wanna let go yet !!!
Posted by: Jennifer | May 10, 2007 2:01 PM
Well... That's it... After May 15th... I have NO reason to watch CW anymore.
I absolutely loathe that we had NO notice of this cancelling until it was!
I don't understand why we can't have another season?
First, you wasted ALL last season with the who Christopher/Lorelai junk.... Surely you should know that the series finale shouldn't be about a graduation party.....
We need another season to see Rory make her way in the world........ and Luke/Lorelai back together again... give us some time to REVEL in that.. we've been watching for 7 years for them to REALLY get together and stay together!
The Series Finale SHOULD be the Luke/Lorelai wedding!
That would at least complete the storyline!
UGH!

I think its horrible how the show just gets cancelled without any notice to the fans. Obviously this show still has a significant fan base to warrant another season. Once next Tuesday comes and goes I will no longer watch the CW11.

I'm very upset that the show is ending. Like everyone else has said, There is way to much stuff left unsaid. I have watched the show since the begining and i will truly miss the show. PLEASE stop canceling all of my favorite shows, otherwise people will start canceling the CW out of there lives. Thank you to the Gilmore girls and the rest of stars hollow for all the wonderful years you will be missed.

I can't believe the CW is ending Gilmore Girls! This is by far my favorite show and there are so many things left for the characters to DO! How could they end such a successful show with so many unanswered questions. And why did they wait until NOW to tell us, we have less then a week left till the LAST episode. :(
Posted by: Kimberly Wilcox | May 10, 2007 12:21 PM
This saddens me that the series is ending. It angers me that they announced it with 2 episodes left. Not a nice way for a send off. The show will be missed. I guess I am going to start watching another Channel, the "CW" keeps getting rid of all of my favorite shows.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 10, 2007 10:59 AM
There are wayyyyy to many story lines still open for gilmore girls to end. if gilmore girls is over may 15 then the show is going to end open ended with too many questions unanswered. (which makes me very mad!!)gilmore girls needs to keep going and stay on the air. the show is still possible!! gilmore girls will be missed very much!
Posted by: Elissa | May 10, 2007 10:16 AM
I cannot believe it, they did not even give us a month to process that ending of series, i am so so sad, that i will no longer see that show. I will truly miss Gillmore Girls. That's my favoriate TV show.
I hope the series faninally is great, and logan comes back and say how sorry he is for the words he told Rory and that they are together.
i will truly miss that show. I have been watching that from the begining, so i hope that they give it a good send off one that i will enjoyand remember. so bye bye Gillmore Girls i will truly miss watching that show,

I am writing in reguards to the cancelation of the T.V. show the Gilmore Girls. I think you are making a big
Mistake, there is so much more story to tell. I am not a professional writer, however I still see so much more you can write. First of all you wasted to much of the season having Loralie with Chris, you have cheated us out seeing Loralie and Luke, there romance of getting back together and now you want to rush it in one or two episodes. The story of Loralie
And Luke getting back together and getting married,
And raising Luke’s daughter April together and maybe having a baby together. There’s also the towns
People who are all very interesting characters who are
Part of the story of Loralie and Luke. If Alexis Bledel didn’t want to return maybe she would be willing to guest star. I really think your making a big
Mistake in canceling this show, it’s a good family show, and you seem to be canceling a lot of family shows. Last year Everwood, and this year 7th Heaven
And Gilmore Girls. I finding it very hard to keep watching the “CW”, if Gilmore Girls gets canceled
that’s it for me, as far as I’m concern that’s strike three and your out of my watching your station. So please save this show so I can still watch the C.W.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: mar | May 10, 2007 1:42 AM
i can't believe they are taking the gilmore girls off but yet still kept 7th heaven...

I am so depressed about the ending of this series. It has been the one show on television that I have worked my schedule around in order to get to see...I even bought TIVO specifically for the Gilmore Girls!!!!
Posted by: Amy | May 9, 2007 11:42 PM
All i have to say is this really sucks and im going to really miss one of the first more adult programs that i have been raised on to go off the air. it gave me a basis for many aspects of life not generally referenced in other shows. if things dont change and the show still goes off the air then thank you for the many years of life lessons and many laughs courtesy of "Rory","Lorelai" and all the other characters ,but if a miracle occurs ,in other words you come to your senses, and the show continues then THANK YOU!!!!!! for allowing me ,and i know many others, to have many more good times with the residence of stars hollow.Lol.;)

I am very disappointed Gilmore Girls only has one show left. It is such a great identifyable show. even if they shot less shows would be better than none. One of the best I've seen. I love the fast dialogue. There are loose ends that need tying up. I'd like to see Loreli and Luke together....seriously together and pregnant. I'd like to Rory and Logan get together and start a real life working etc. Please is there any way to get this show to continue? I'd pay to see it. Please!
Posted by: Linda | May 9, 2007 10:58 PM

BRING GILMORE GIRLS BACK
Posted by: Molly | May 9, 2007 9:28 PM
I must agree with everyone else on here ranting - I love the show so much that it has become a huge part of my life. Even if I have a horrible day on Tuesday I know I will get to see Gilmore Girls later so that gives me something to look forward to. I was disappointed in the fire coverage last night. Yes, the fire is terrible, but there wasn't much to report on. They were like, "Yeah, there's a fire. They are telling people to evacuate. It's really, really hot. ...um...you can see the flames." And that was about it.
Please bring Gilmore Girls back. :-(
Posted by: Lael | May 9, 2007 9:28 PM
OMG! This can't be happening! This is the best show on television. What will I do with my Tuesday nights now? I plan my work schedule around this show. You can not do this to so many loyal fans. This is the one show that I absolutely have to home for! I refuse to record it.
Posted by: Misty | May 9, 2007 9:19 PM
I alway look forward to Tues to watch the Gilmores.. I cant imagine watching another series as good as this. I have loved them since their first show. Please bring them back!!
Posted by: Winnie | May 9, 2007 9:19 PM
I will do anything to keep the show going. HOW ABOUT PAY PER VIEW. I will send money. I will buy every sponsors product weather I need it or not. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't do this. As you can see I am not above begging.
Come to you senses before it's too late.
Posted by: Robin & Peggy | May 9, 2007 8:47 PM
the gilmore girls is one of the few reasons i watch the cw channel. by cancelling this series you'll be losing one of your viewers
Posted by: grace | May 9, 2007 8:38 PM
OMG! I am so made that I am so mad about the cancelation. First I thought it was a horriable season to begin with becuase they fired their old writers. I was watching the other season of GG and the writing was so good. I think that they should at least let the old writer wrtie the last episode. To late for that I guess. I am sad:( I feel like I am losing two of my best friends for ever> I will miss you lorilei and Rory!
Posted by: Allison | May 9, 2007 8:26 PM
I was so depressed when I heard it was ending...but it was kind of fitting. There's not much else they can do. I just hope that Laurelai and Luke get together!
Posted by: Natalie | May 9, 2007 8:15 PM
NO! NO! NO! WHY? WHY? WHY? Can we send a letter of protest to our congressperson? Can we picket outside of KTLA? Can we hire a sky plane to write a heading across the sky that says: "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING? HOW DARE YOU CANCEL THE GILMORE GIRLS. HOW DARE YOU!!!!" I wish it was just someone's idea of a cruel joke. I'm in shock!
My condolences to the cast and crew. My finger (you know which one) to whomever decided to cancel the show.
Posted by: isnabela | May 9, 2007 7:46 PM
I am very upset over the cancellation of this show. This is one of the very few "good" clean family shows on TV and you rob us of that! What's with all these lousy shows that keeps going? No wonder this young generation is all screwed up! Won't be watching your station anymore...Good luck
Posted by: patty | May 9, 2007 7:30 PM
I am so upset about the show ending. Im gunna miss watching lorelai and rory getting into pointless conversations with everyone. and lukes diner. its so sad. i dont know why theyre ending it there is so much more left to happen that they cant fit into one episode! i really hope rory comes to her senses and gets engaged to logan because she cant turn out like her mother and turn her head from marriage. her and logan have been going out for 3 years and theyre so good together. besides, its not like she has a job or anything to go to from yale. moving to a new place will be a good change for her. especially with the love of her life. i also hope luke and lorelai get together and STAY THAT WAY.

Just please ONE MORE SEASON! It can even be a mini season! There are so many story lines left unsolved and you can't cram them into one episode!
How about Kirk and Lulu? What's held in their future?
How about Sookie and Jackson? What about their baby?
How bout Michel? Will he ever find peace?
How about Emily and Richard? Will they ever come to terms with the other side of life?
How about Logan and his business?
How about Rory and her career?
How about Logan and Rory?
How about Luke and his daughter?
How about Lorelai and sense of humor?
How about Luke and Lorelai?
Gilmore Girls can't end without answering these questions!
There are way too many people still hooked and I promise, on behalf of them, that we will continue to watch every episode!
Gilmore fans are not ready to let go. We found out that it would be the series finale just less than a couple weeks ago. We need more time to say good bye to the Gilmore Girls!
Come on! You know you want to! There isn't much good television left and Gilmore Girls is a breath of fresh air. PLEASE CONSIDER IT SERIOUSLY.
A truly devoted Gilmore Girls fan,
Ally

WHAT??? Thats HORRIBLE! They only need ONE more season! You know,Rory gets a job and Luke and Lorelai get back together and get married! That's so RETARDED! The whole show was about Luke and Lorelai getting married and they end the show before that even happens!Just ONE more season PLEASE!!! Is there anyway we could make this happen?:(

This show is the only thing that can cheer me up all week. What a stupid place to end. The GG deserve more than that. CW is making the BIGGEST mistake ever. I feel like im loossing the greatest friends I have ever had. The Gilmore Girls will always have a place in my heart. And so will Kirk. I will miss you all. - P.S. (If any of you GG fans continue to watch CW after this you should be ashamed.)

so sad the show's ending...
lorelei will end up with luke, since she's tried being w/chris and it hasnt worked. rory will end up single but get the job of her dreams - i dont get why everyone wants her married, she's only 22!
btw, Danielle, you mentioned in your post that GG is the only show that doesn't involve teenage girls getting pregnant in high school - where do you think rory came from???
Posted by: sd | May 9, 2007 5:25 PM
why?!!!! this was my second show, and one of the few reasons i watched tv. First Charmed and now Gilmore Girl, what's next, Smallville, c'mon don't be mean

This is insane, i mean i know so many people who canrealate to that relationship that no other tv show brings to life. I have that relationship with my mom. And all those girls who love watching it just because they want that relationship-this is crazy! i am gonna miss it so much. I have watched every single episode it is my favorite show and has been for years....
Posted by: Ari | May 9, 2007 4:34 PM
Like so many others I have watched Gilmore Girls from the pilot. For the past 7 years my loved ones have known not to call, talk, or make plans that involve me when my GG is on. I am truly angry that the network has decided that Gilmore Girls is a show that must go. This station plays numerous of idiotic other shows like all the little 30 minute ones that have shown up on Monday, and on Friday. This of course excludes Reba, another great show given the ax. I am still fuming over Reba and now my Gilmore Girls. No matter what a stressful day I have had knowing it was Tuesday and my GG was coming on alway's cheered me up, even the reruns. Really if they are going to end it. Why have Rory pass up so many great opportunities so close to graduating, and don't put Luke and Lorelei together. That story is so over done and dead. Rory became a more outspoken person with Logan that is who she should be with, and Lorelei has waited for 22 years to be with Rory's dad, make it happen and last. Not that this will be viewed by anyone who can make a change and stop this from happening, but this is my opinion.

So disappointed. I hope CW knows what it is doing. I have not seen the show for a while. This show is what started me to watching CW and changing the schedule has stopped me watching CW. I still want to know all the happens so I still try to schedule time to watch. Good News for me the re-runs will still be new.
Posted by: Christian Mom | May 9, 2007 4:00 PM
People are saying that it will re-air Saturday at 8pm? This Saturday 8-10pm is the American Idol Finale show, I doubt they would air over this??? Not that I would mind...but I'm skeptical. Anyone else get any other awnsers?

I really hate this! Last night, I didn't even get to see the show; I DVRd it and it was interrupted by the update on the fire at Griffith Park. While I understand a fire is important, I didn't understand why it took the entire hour of the show when the news was coming on soon at its regular time and then to read this today! I love my Gilmores & Friends and I agree with another comment that the shows you love die while junk stays seemingly forever!

No I was really looking forward to Luke and Loralie getting married not Loralie and her babby daddy my words were twisted Thanks alot blogg
Posted by: Keisha Tyler | May 9, 2007 2:36 PM
To those of you who have watched the second-to-last episode that aired last night...stop talking about it! There are alot of us that missed it since it was rudely interrupted by the Griffith Park fire started by a smoker that fell asleep with a lit cigarette. And will somebody please tell Hal that repeating the same questions 4 and 5 times in less than 2 minutes and interrupting the other reporters is not only annoying, it's disrespectful. Also, whoever "woke up" Stan Chambers to cover this story should be fired. The man is a legend and should be allowed to take a break and enjoy life...not fill his fragile lungs with smoke and soot.
OK...I'll get off my soap box now.
Other than the re-airing on Saturday (I have to work) any other time it will be re-aired?

This show is what we look forward to all week long! My mom and I have watched this show together for many seasons and we have enjoyed every episode. What will we do now. Life as we know it is over. Now we have nothing to look forward to all week long. This is so so so so sudden. This show was so important to my mom and me. Does anyone know why this awesome show was canceled. I dont know why people whould not like this show!

I am sad that the Gilmore Girls is going off the air. I would have liked to at least see Loralie and Luke get married and live happily ever after. If this was the last season Loralie and her baby daddy Chris should not have hooked up, it should have been Luke and Loralie, Rory should have acceted the Logans perposal even though I did not see it because of the Griffith park fire. The CW will not be the same without the Gilmore Girls. The girls were really happy, funny and crazy and I really enjoyed it. The station should think again about takeing The girls off the air. Gilmore Girls will truely be missed!!!!
Posted by: Keisha Tyler | May 9, 2007 2:06 PM
I was absolutely devastated last night to find out it was the 2nd to last episode!! And to top it off, it was horrible, how can you have Logan and Rory break up after all they have been through? I wanted to see them get married, or even just the thought that they were going to live happily ever after would have been better!! What about Lauralie and Luke, they have so much unfinished business? I think the network is making huge mistake taking the Gilmore Girls off the air. I watched them faithfully for the last 3 years, and to catch up on what had happend before that, I rented all the prior seasons. I, like everyone else planned my life around Gilmore Girls. It is definately the best show on television. The CW is making a huge MISTAKE!! I feel like I am losing my two best friends.

As a mother of 2, I don't get to watch much TV. Gilmore Girls is the only show I watch every week. I need my Gilmore Girls! The network brought back 7th Heaven after fans had an uproar, hopefully they'll do that with Gilmore Girls!
Posted by: Amy | May 9, 2007 1:25 PM
I am sad to see the show go.But all things come to an end.I am hopeing there will be a happy ending for both girls.Looking foward seeing the reruns. It was the greatest show on KTLA.
Thanks girls you guys are great!!!!!!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT GILMORE GIRLS IS OVER. I WISH THEY WOULD BE ON AT LEAST FOR ANOTHER SEASON TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO RORY & LORALIE AND THE GANG.
Posted by: HEATHER | May 9, 2007 12:57 PM
I cannot believe that you are choosing to remove the only show on TV that I never miss. This action is indeed a sad reflection on the "powers that be" in this network. Perhaps someone else will else will have the intelligence to pick it up.
Posted by: Patricia | May 9, 2007 12:43 PM
I think it's absolutely ridiculous to end the series with Rory not even getting engaged to Logan...so ending up alone and then from all appearances for next week, Lorelei will also end up alone (but has a new understanding with Luke). If you're going to end the show like this, end it with happiness for them all!
Posted by: Sarah | May 9, 2007 12:07 PM
About stinkin time. This show went down hill about 2 seasons ago.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 9, 2007 11:24 AM
Everyone-call (323) 460-5500 to reach KTLA and ask when the episode lost to the fire will re-air. Hope this helps get it on before next week!

KTLA just advised they will replay GG on Sat at 8PM, Veronica Mars at 9PM.
And some info:
The CW is responsible for GG. They have chosen not to continue the series.
KTLA is a network that carries the CW programming. They chose to interrupt the programming.
Concerns about the show should go to the CW.
Concerns about interrupting programming should go to KTLA.
I'll miss GG as well.

My mother and I have lived 1400 miles away from each other for eleven years. This series brought us closer together. I have watched every episode. The characters were so deep that you could spend an hour analyzing each show together. There is nothing else like it on the CW or on TV. This show is what I watch the CW for. I'll just have to go back to watching the three major networks.
Posted by: Shawna Wagstaff | May 9, 2007 10:34 AM
I would love to rant about how upset I was to TiVo an hour of a "raging fire," when I had been hearing about it all day. At least some other channels had the presence of mind to do their "Breaking News Update" via a scrolling message at the bottom of the screen, as to not interrupt the current show... Especially one so pivotal to the series!!
I have been following the Gilmore Girls since the first episode. When I used to live at home, my mom, sister & I reserved our Tuesday nights as mother-daughter night to watch the Gilmore Girls together. Now, I'm married and have a daughter of my own & I watch the Gilmore Girls with my daughter. Sometimes my mom & sister will come over to watch with us. I am very disappointed with the network for ending such an amazing show!
I also agree with some of the other posts - Reality shows DO NOT portray reality. They portray some producers'/writers' warped vision of what would happen to people if they are put in ridiculous and unreal circumstances. That's not good television! That's lack of creative writing!! What happened to all the great television show writers out there??
Posted by: Catherine | May 9, 2007 9:46 AM
Please tell us the time and date it will be replayed since it is going to be 10 times, you say. They didn't interupt American Idol, heavens no... not George Lopaz either. I just don't understand why they couldn't wait until the 10 o'clock news like other networks. Maybe you aren't a loyal fan like the rest of us.

After watching last night's episode I was shocked to find out that they were ending the series next Tuesday. They didn't give us any warning! Not only that but, there was only 13 episodes in this season. That is not a way to go out. There are so many things that will go unanswered. Like what about Luke and Lorelei? We've been waiting for their wedding for seven season!!! I would love to see Rory get married too. This totally sucks! It's like this was just a spur of the moment decision and they wanted to hurry up and end it. From what everyone else is saying it's apparent that the CW is making a huge mistake.
I've seen every episode of Gilmore Girls and it's the only reason I watch the CW. After it's over I will probly never watch the CW again. I guess I'm just hoping they do like 7th Heaven and say it's over and do another season.

Well I would just like to say that I get that some of you are angry over the "breaking news" interuption, however it was not purposely done to tick anyone off, I really think that viewers need to accespt that live coverage does happen, so suck it up and watch it tonight, it is only replayed like 10 times this week, I really discourage complaining, worse things could have happened! like being caught in the fire!
Posted by: jenniferD | May 9, 2007 9:37 AM
I am so glad to hear I am not the only one that was disappointed that KTLA was the only channel that aired breaking news of the fire (which was not breaking news since it started at 1:30 in the afternoon). I have already written countless e-mails to KTLA saying I am very disappointed in their programming. After Gilmore Girls ends I feel I have no reason to continue watching KTLA CW. Ever since the merger with UPN I have been disappointed many times and this was the final starw. Good lucky staying a float when you are upsetting your loyal watchers.
Posted by: Jenae | May 9, 2007 9:32 AM
I dont understand why you had to show us breaking news right in the middle of Gilmore Girls. Its not that bad. There's always fires. Its just not fair that you guys did this. PLEASE RE AIR IT AGAIN BEFORE THE SERIES FINALE!!!!!!!!!
ugh. Its not fair, Ill be really upset with KTLA if it DOESNT air.

I cannot believe how the CW went about cancelling this show. They told us a WEEK before the last episode that is was over????? I totally freaked out last night. I am soooooo sad! I feel like I am losing my two best friends! I have every season on dvd, and I watch it all the time. I just love this show!!!! This is ludicrous! I will not be watching the CW anymore. What's the point?
Posted by: Vanessa | May 9, 2007 8:45 AM
Nooooooooooooooooooo!!! Why does Gilmore Girls have to end??! It's one of the best TV shows. I love everything about it... and even though they've made 7 seasons, it only feels like 3... ..this isnt enough!! But at least we can watch past eps on dvd... but its stil not the same as watching an episode you've never seen before.. i love gilmore girls and miss it!!! it will always be remembered and every one PLEASE support them one last time and buy the dvds !! Rory, Lorelai, and the rest of Stars Hollow will always be treasured.
Posted by: Gilmore Girl Forever | May 9, 2007 8:31 AM
Please give us another season!!! My family and I have watched faithfully since the beginning. Unfortunately, Rory saying no to Logan was very upsetting!!! Where is the happily ever after??????
Posted by: Tara | May 9, 2007 7:38 AM
You have decided to cancel one of the few shows that has the cleanest, yet most watched tv series out there. Nobody gets whacked, raped, pregnant in high school, becomes an alien, witch or super sleuth. You are taking away so much more then you intended to create. GG fans are as much of a cult as watchers of Survivor, American Idol, Sopranos, Sex In The City and so on. My friends, family and I are going to block Cw20 after the series finale as we all agree the channel has nothing left to offer. Good thing your channel is available with no cable box. You'll still have plenty of watchers. Just without me and those who feel the same way around me.
Posted by: Danielle | May 9, 2007 7:35 AM
Without the Gilmore Girls, there is no reason for the CW to exist. Good Riddance to a channel that doesn't understand about quality programming! How can they cancel a show after telling fans it probably would be back for a shortened seasoned, and why so early in the season, they don't have a clue how to do this the right way, they deserve to go under.
Posted by: Jacqueline | May 9, 2007 6:09 AM
Is this network committing suicide? Cancelling its best program. Must be a bunch of Retards running the joint. Gilmore Girls you will be missed.
Posted by: Clayton | May 9, 2007 6:07 AM
A long with so many others, I am shocked and devastated to learn Gilmore Girls is being cancelled. It's like the end of an era.
I went through high school brought up on Gilmore Girls and started college while it was going on and felt like I experience with Rory as she went on and fulfilled her dreams of higher learning.
I can't express how sad I am that I will no longer witness the characters go on to new journeys in their lives. It's like taking away a close friend.
I've been an avid viewer of The WB and when it turned into The CW it was shows like Gilmore Girls that kept me glued to your station. If it weren't for Gilmore Girls Chad wouldn't have stepping stone which let to OTH and the actor who played Dean wouldn't have had a great stepping stone for Supernatural. Gilmore Girls made a valid impact to your station and I can't believe it's just being discarded. If it weren't for Gilmore Girls I wouldn't have watched OTH because I wouldn't have fall-in in love with Chad Michael Murray. So I really don't see how Gilmore girls can be cancelled when it lead to making even more viewers for other shows. But since you are taking it away from us I would like to say I wish the cast and crew the best on their next endeavours and i will be keeping my eyes out for other shows and movies they are in. Thanks to everyone that brought Gilmore Girls to life on TV. The times I spent watching with my family will always bring a smile and warm thoughts to my heart.
Cheers!
One more thing I hope the series finale is as good as DC cuz that was a real send off. I hope you guys are giving Gilmore Girls the appropriate delightful, joyful, and funny send off it more than deserves.

My daughter and I wait all week for our beloved Gilmore Girls. We were very dissapointed tonite when a fire was aired in its place for so long! There wasn't much to report so I don't understand why we had to miss the next to the last show. PLEASE REPLAY!!!!!
Posted by: deb | May 9, 2007 2:57 AM
yeah.. enough w/ the fire... where's the gilmore gang
Posted by: pamon | May 9, 2007 2:46 AM
I have watched Gilmore girls since the beginning and am very sad that it is going off the air. There are too many reality series and just plain bad shows on T.V. now. I hope that some other network is smart enough to pick it up. I thought it was really bad that KTLA interupted the show to brodcast the fire and there was no new news it was basically the same news. We had to sit and listen to Hal interupt everyone and bumble through the same thing over and over. What a joke. We will not watch channnel 5 after The Gilmore Girls end.
Posted by: Patty | May 9, 2007 2:00 AM
No other networks interupted programming to show "Breaking News" of the Griffith Park fire. But, KTLA totally eliminates Gilmore Girls to show it. This comes after their other bright decision to cancel the series! Now, there is one more episode to end it all. What happens to Luke and Loreli? What about Rory and Logan? Does Suki have her baby and stay with her husband? What about Lane? Does her husband becoome famous and leave her and the twins? There are so many story lines going, and with infinte wisdom, KTLA cancels the show! Did someone lose their mind?
Posted by: Vicki | May 9, 2007 1:55 AM
I think that everyone can agree that airing the fire instead of running the second to last episode of Gilmore Girls. My mom and I have watched this show since it started because it reminds us of how we are together. I can't believe that you would just end it without any warning or explaination. There are millions of people that look forward to watching this show every week. It is one of the few shows on that I watch every week no matter where I am or what I am doing.
Then you go and upset everyone by not showing what we just found out is to be the second to the last episode because of a fire that you can talk about for the rest of the night. Not really the best choice. I really hope that you are planning on showing this episode again before we see the last one or you are going to have a lot of very anger fans on your hands. I think you shouldn't cancel the show and you should give us back Gilmore Girls.

PLEASE post clearly on your site when you will re-air tonight's episode of the Gilmore Girls!! I can't believe you interrupted it for the fire! I was SO angry and dissapointed! It is the best show on TV - EVER
Posted by: v | May 9, 2007 1:16 AM
I think we deserve an explanation as to WHY in the world the CW would show news coverage over the GILMORE GIRLS probably the most popular show the CW has, and they want to play news about the fire! even tho ktla has news at 10 and if people were really that concerned they could tune in at 10 or check the internet for updates??? I called KTLA and after getting a busy signal a million times i got to talk to the news desk and they said it was "the big wigs" at ktla... the big wigs??? what the heck does that mean??? who cares about the big wigs??? are they just upset with the gilmore girls since they couldn't work out the contract details??? don't punish the viewers for that!!! all of the other shows are lame! and should have stayed on channel 13 where they belong! GILMORE GIRLS ROCKS AND DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE CANCELED THE WAY IT WAS CANCELED!!!! THIS IS TOTALY UNFAIR!
Posted by: Heather | May 9, 2007 1:11 AM
Please please please reair the 5/8 episode this weekend because of the fire coverage. Maybe Sunday night????
Posted by: Joy | May 9, 2007 1:11 AM
um. i EXPECT to have gilmore girls shown again due to brainless interruption. the fire is not going to reach containment within an hour. we don't need a minute to minute update. i feel for all people involved in the fire and DO NOT wish them any harm. but really? prime time television.
when will the SECOND TO LAST EPISODE be replayed?
Posted by: sandra | May 9, 2007 12:59 AM
I just want to add my voice to the crowd, with concerns over when ktla will rebroadcast this nights Gilmore Girls show. I too feel that coverage of the fire could have at least been left to a few words, with full coverage at 10PM
Posted by: Laura Sakayeda | May 9, 2007 12:58 AM
I agree with ever..
ktla had to break news for a fire during gilmore girls!
I was so mad and I really hope they re-air this episoide before next weeks episode! I'm going to call and complain, the guy kept repeating everything over and over... lets keep each other posted
Posted by: Kelly | May 9, 2007 12:53 AM
Please re-air tonight's episode...I was very upset that KTLA interrupted the regular program to play over 45 minutes of the fire..I would like to know what happened so I can enjoy the series finale...I am a loyal fan...please re-air the episode before next week.
Posted by: Cathy M | May 9, 2007 12:42 AM
HEY KTLA!!! YOU OWE US A
"GILMORE GIRLS" EPISODE!!!
What idiot honcho decided to go to that interminable live feed THEN??? SURE we need to know what's happening....but then, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO ABOUT IT???? Occasional updates would have sufficed, until the regular News at 10.
NOW GIVE US OUR MISSING 'GILMORE GIRLS" EPISODE!!!!
Posted by: Lynnibelle | May 9, 2007 12:41 AM
Seriously....why can't they atleast update the website to let us know when they will re-run the episode. How else will I know when to watch????? This network is a joke!
Posted by: London | May 9, 2007 12:37 AM
I can not believe that they talked for more than 2 hours so far about a fire, and all they keep talking about is how hard the wind is blowing. They better replay gilmore girls and veronica mars. Usually when they interupt a show they end up showing it a 2am or some other godly hour. I wish they would just brodcast the times.
Posted by: Jessica | May 9, 2007 12:36 AM
OMGsh..... when will you re-air this episode???? I can't believe it was interrupted!!! A quick briefing of the fire would have been sufficient but it is still on and repeaating the same information over and over.....!
PLEASE, do NOT end GG!!! This is the last good show, and the ony show worth watching on KTLA!! These reality shows are stupid and really having nothing to do with reality!
After 60 years, KTLA has reduced itself to the filthy, unrealistic, and stupidity of supernatural, vampires and now reality shows - this channel WAS for family - no more! It's really too bad!! I for one will not be watching channel 5 anymore!
Goodbye KTLA!
Posted by: CM | May 9, 2007 12:34 AM
Please reconsider!!! I have rented all the episodes and watched them ALL with my wife. I finally caught up with them and now you take them away. Bring them BACK!!!!

I AM PISSED CAUSE THIS STUPID FIRE HAD TAKEN THE WHOLE TIME FRAME OF gILMORE gIRLS AND vERONICA maRS!! kEEP gILMORE gIRLS IT IS AWESOME!!aND aL NEEDS to RETIRE..truth hurts, but really enough is enough u lose the Gilmores and I bet u lose a lot of Loyal CW watchers!! Hey channel 7 is having some great shows on ..October rOAD IS THE BEST! sO, again this fire was broad cast too long..boring..boring..yawn!!
Posted by: michelle Macias | May 9, 2007 12:32 AM
Please ktla, explain to all of us why exactly you are ending 2 of the best shows on tv today ???!!! Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven????????
These two shows are the only great family shows left on tv. It greatly disapoints my family and myself in ktla wisdom. Then, you pre-empt tonights show for news of the fire. Please re-examine your priorities.
Posted by: Jackie Sparks | May 9, 2007 12:29 AM
Breaking news!?! Really? It's a fire in LA...what else is new?
I wanna see the episode! NOW!!!
Posted by: butercheeks | May 9, 2007 12:26 AM
I preset my tivo to record gilmore girls earlier today...Then I came home to watch it...and i realize that i recorded an hour of the news! yes, the fire is important... but is it really that important to cancel one of the most anticipated epdisodes of gilmore girls??? badly done KTLA,, badly done!!
Posted by: Kristina Garcia | May 9, 2007 12:12 AM
I am sooo mad at KTLA for preempting Gilmore Girls for this stupid fire!!! We don't care! I live in California, I live two hours away from the fire, and I DON'T CARE!!! You better tell us when it will be replaying or else you will be losing two very loyal viewers, we will simply have to watch our Gilmore Girls dvds instead of the 5:30 to 8 shows we usually watch on KTLA.
Posted by: Christy | May 9, 2007 12:12 AM

I kind of saw this coming just because of Rory graduating, but that doesn't mean I like it... It's true that something truly crappy is going to be put in it's place. It seem like anymore if a show isn't completely filled with sex and a who's-sleeping-with-who story line then it can't possibly be good television.
Posted by: Jacque | May 9, 2007 12:08 AM
I'm saddened that this great sow is ending this way,
But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, pleas air the episode you stupidly pre-empted tonight or at least make it available online!!!

Posted by: MaryLou | May 9, 2007 12:05 AM
I'm bummed that they are ending the series. I have to agree with the many others that the interruption of the second to last episode due to fire coverage was disappointing. Please reair this episode before the finale on 5/15!

WE CAN'T BELIEVED THAT WE HAVE TO WATCH HOW A FIRE CONSUMES A F... HILL BUT WE CAN'T WATCH AS HOW LOGAN PROPOSES AND COMPLETELY RUINS RORY'S LIFE BY MAKING HER ANOTHER DAR MOM!!!!! i really don't care about the coyotes the last thing i need is a coyote being interview about the fire!!! tell me when the fire is close enough to burn my house otherwise PUT GG BACK!!!! an advise for you KTLA when your reporter is thinking of clever ways to say there is a fire how about telling when they are going to repeat the show becuase they MUST otherwise the next breaking news they are going to be covering is all the GG fans infront of their offices trying to start a fire!!!!!! can't believe the show is ending i need more time to adjust the end will suck otherwise rory getting marry???? what happened to her carrear her to of our dreams our plans. is she going to be the next EMILY? the CW and the new writter have completely destroyed one of the most succesful show on TV thank you for all those years of happines and joy, thank you for teaching us about life itself, the show was simple but the stories touched our heart. GG will end but will forever live in our hearts.
we love you and the ending better be at least 2 hours and it better not be one of those horrible hollywood movie endings.IF WE COULD WE WANT AT LEAST ANOTHER SEASON PLEASE!!!!!
PS. THE FIREMAN GIVING AN UPDATE ABOUT THE FIRE .....NOT INTERESTING!!!! WHAT'S NEXT THE DEER!!!!!!
Posted by: carolina and adriana | May 9, 2007 12:04 AM
Ktla, I can't believe that you interrupted the 2nd to the last show of Gilmore Girls for a fire breaking news that could of been told in two minuets, but instead you have babbling Hal on. All he did was babble the whole time. Hope CW will repeat Gilmore Girls before next week. Also can't believe that Gilmore Girls is going away what happen to good programs?
Posted by: Debbie | May 8, 2007 11:46 PM
I'm sitting in my living room in Anchorage AK, wondering if I'm ever going to see the second to the last episode of GG. Not that I'm not sympathetic to the fire situation in LA, but you should all know that Dish network is paying KTLA for rights to its broadcasts and then rebroadcasting KTLA content on the satellite TV service we get up here. I have no local CW channel. Dish's service is my only source for Gilmore Girls, and it's been pre-empted by the fires. How would viewers in LA feel if your TV coverage of favorite shows was replaces by local news about a snowstorm in Anchorage? Pretty p.o.ed, I'd guess.
If KTLA or Dish doesn't fix this, there will be hell to pay!
Posted by: From Alaska | May 8, 2007 11:40 PM
There is a group of us that get together every Tuesday night to watch GG and want to know why this is the only station to interrupt regular programing due this fire! We feel bad for the people who are affected by the fire but this is the second to the last show and we hope this show airs before the final episode next week- You have already made a huge mistake by cancelling the show!
Posted by: Darc | May 8, 2007 11:39 PM
I have watched every episode since the first. Tuesday is my favorite night! Even My husband got hooked, not easy, thank to Luke! Why now, this is the only show we both look forward to! We Luv you as the two Lorelais Good Luck with your next projects.
Posted by: Missy Seeder | May 8, 2007 11:39 PM
why why why did we need to hear about the fire for 40 minutes? if we were soo interested, we would've gone to a news channel or gone online! this is the episode where rory graduates from yale and gets proposed to! i used to always watch ktla news, but i am so angry that i'm going to start watching abc news!
Posted by: alicia | May 8, 2007 11:35 PM
If KTLA does nto re-air tonight's episode sometime before next week's season finale, I will no longer watch any programming on the CW Network. A short interuption for pressing new information on the fire would have been understood, but their lengthy interupttion was neither pressing or necessary. Please join me in boycotting the CW if the episode is not re-aired.
Posted by: Rebekah | May 8, 2007 11:32 PM
does anyone have any useful info about when they are replaying this episode??!!
Posted by: Cali Chris | May 8, 2007 11:32 PM
Oh Hal, what have you done ?! I have watched every episode of the Gilmore Girls and now YOU interupt the second to last episode with yet another fire. I'm suprised you didn't through in a slow speed car chase as well. The people in the surrounding fire area either know what is going on or don't have power, as you have shown us. Please replay this episode so we can at least try to have a little closure to the end of our favorite show.
Posted by: Brenda Sadler | May 8, 2007 11:31 PM
I cannot believe they are going to take off Gilmore Girls, it is the one show I care to watch. This is awful. It is the only good family show, a happy show. My favorite. I am upset to say the least.

Posted by: Heather | May 8, 2007 11:25 PM
I was eagerly awaiting tonights show and bitterly dissappointed when I was unable to watch it because of the fire report. It is not showing when the show will be reaired. How will I be able to watch this show 5/08/2007 again before the season finally? I am truly upset and this was the only show I watch on CW. I will no longer be a viewer.
Posted by: megan | May 8, 2007 11:25 PM
This sticks only two shows left and the fire coverage destroyed it! they could have just gave updates during the comercail. Then I went to cw.com and the only show they don't have to watch is gilmore girls. please rerun it because i dont want to wait for it to go to dvd thats too long.
Posted by: calfordgirl | May 8, 2007 11:24 PM
I have watched GG and own the DVDs I am very sad to see it go. This show let me share special moments with my teenage daughter and brought up many talks about life and growing up. I am very sad to see a high quality show bite the dust like so many quality shows before it. It was one of the few I could watch with my daughter and not be embarresed by its content. Good bye Gilmore Girls, you have truly left a hole in many fans hearts and minds.
Posted by: Janna | May 8, 2007 11:23 PM
To the Brilliant Minds behind KTLA: Kudos for pre-empting the second to last Gilmore Girls episode!!! An ENTIRE HOURS WORTH of coverage over a fire with the same "news" to be aired on PRIME NEWS AT 10pm? Great coverage everyone, especially Hal - what would viewers do without him being around to sensationalize the reports?
//end sarcasm//
When the coverage of the fires are over, KTLA owes longstanding Gilmore Girls fans the courtesy, if not the decency, to announce a re-airing date of this episode that they so rudely interuppted.
Posted by: AL | May 8, 2007 11:23 PM
I can't believe the CW will not end the season with the chance for the story to end properly. Why is the network so concerned with $$. It is so sad to hook viewers and then just cut them off. At least announce the re-play time and date. I think I am done with the CW.....
Posted by: susan | May 8, 2007 11:22 PM
First the fires are shown during the 2nd to the last of my favorite show....the fires are terrible and I pray for the safety of the firemen, homeowners and the animals at the zoo. BUT come on, the news does not need to interrupt Gilmore Girls (especially since you are cancelling the show - that really stinks). The news is on all day and night - hours and hours of news and it's always the same ....I have lost interest in watching channel 5 KTLA. Lost another viewer.
Posted by: Peggy Stanovich | May 8, 2007 11:22 PM
I am very upset right now... why play the stupid footage of a fire and why keep repeating same info when we could be watching the best show on TV. SERIOUSLY!!!! We understand--- fire in California--- winds- Hollywood Hills... I think I get it... When is Gilmore girls going to be replayed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Posted by: Sylvia | May 8, 2007 11:19 PM
PLEASE put Gilmore Girls back on! This is the second to last episode, Rory is graduating and Logan is proposing. WHEN IS IT AIRING AGAIN?!?!
Posted by: angry | May 8, 2007 11:19 PM
Enough with the fire!!! Nobody cares! Hey, does any1 know when they're going to show the Gilmore Girls episode? I must watch it!
Posted by: Anna | May 8, 2007 11:18 PM
OK, the bonehead who decided to cancel Gilmore Girls must be the same one who decided to preempt the second to last episode for "breaking news." Breaking news? You've gotta be kidding me! It's California, it's hot, it's dry, it's windy and there's a fire. That would take 2 minutes to relay to the public -- not 2 hours. You blew it CW. I bet this same bonehead will be the one to decide what show replaces Gilmore Girls -- hmmm, probably some lame reality show. You've lost a viewer.
Posted by: Ali | May 8, 2007 11:17 PM
Are you kidding me? They had better replay this episode of GG fast...an hour of fires? Give me a break! KTLA--respond now!
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 11:17 PM
Extremely angry with the news coverage of L.A. as no other coverage being played interrupting other scheduled programs. Gilmore Girls is one of FEW shows I watch and now finding out you are cancelling the show w/o any notice. Somebody also told me previously that the show writer had changed and that was noticed in one of the last season episodes. Man, this totally sucks. I am not happy with your choices and way you are cancelling this series. Yuck.
Posted by: Robin D | May 8, 2007 11:14 PM
I love, love, love Gilmore Girls, why are they getting rid of it? WHY? And why do I need to watch the same news for over 50 minutes, hello we all know there is a fire. We feel sorry for the people affected by the fire but watching the news and listing to a man who doesn't know what to say isn't going to change anything. Please post when you will re-air the show. I need to record it.
Posted by: Dawn | May 8, 2007 11:14 PM
Just have them tell us whe they are going to show Gilmore Girls next to last show. YOu are the only station who broke away. CW you break away from one of your most successfull show what a way to anger over a million viewers.
Posted by: Nancy | May 8, 2007 11:12 PM
You know its only considered news if it is actually new information. Then it becomes history. Thanks for interupting the second to last episode of Gilmore Girls for 5 minutes of news and 40 minutes of history. Please replay this episode, sans fire break.
Posted by: Adriana | May 8, 2007 11:11 PM
I am soooo sad! This is like the worst news of my TV watching life. I have been a faithful Gilmore Girls watcher since day one and own all six seasons on DVD; and will be the first to purchase season 7 the first day it comes out. My daughter and I never miss a show. What are we going to do with our Tuesday nights now? What will we have to talk about on Wednesday? I am so glad I got to go to California this year and see the Warner Brothers Studio and visit Stars Hollow in person...that is a memory I will always have...wish the show could go on forever!
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 11:10 PM
Coverage of the Griffith Park fire is an absolute waste of time for KTLA. Nobody cares where the helicopter, I'm sorry telecopter, is going to refuel. Is that really an important bit of information? I demand KTLA re-air this episode, BEFORE the season finale next week. I also expect an apology from KTLA. I am extremely displeased with the choice to air this insignificant report on a fire that has been burning for 8 hours. It could have been showed during reruns of other shows.

O.K. Breaking news would be if the fire was put out. This is crap that my favorite show was interrupted for coverage of a fire. I am a stay at home mother who looks forward to watching Gilmore Girls for an hour every week, and that is being taken from me b/c the show is done, and now that there are two shows left, I get "breaking news" on a fire! This sux!
Posted by: Amy | May 8, 2007 11:09 PM
Gilmore Girls has been my ABSOLUTE FAVORITEEEE show since the very first episode. I always make sure I watch it every week and if I'm gonna miss it, I record it. I own every season (except for 7) and I've watched them all straight through probably 10 times. I pretty much cried when I heard this is going to be the end :-( . I think they should cancel some stupid show that no one cares about..
Posted by: Alex | May 8, 2007 11:08 PM
Now that you covered the stupid fire while all other local channels just did an update and played their show, I am going to pirate gilmore girls tomorrow and not watch ANY of the commercials. morons...
Posted by: kevin | May 8, 2007 11:08 PM
just like 7TH HEAVEN had a finale, then came back....HOW ABOUT IT AMY? lets start fresh. THERE IS STILL SO MUCH TO FINISH. Rory finds a job, married, and has a child..luke/lorelai and chris/lorelai married? get rid of the GIGI and start anew...what do you say Amy?
Posted by: doreen | May 8, 2007 11:04 PM
REPLAY THE SHOW!!
WE ALREADY KNEW A FIRE WAS HAPPENING. I COULD SEE THE SMOKE OUTSIDE. PLAY THE SHOW!!!
Posted by: david | May 8, 2007 11:03 PM
Please-everyone! Don't just say it here, please go to:
http://ktla.trb.com/entertainment/ktla-programming-email,0,1885956.htmlstory?coll=ktla-home-topnav
and let the station manager know you are disappointed with their decision and demand a re-airing of the episode.
Thank you!!
Posted by: Lora | May 8, 2007 11:03 PM
KTLA, What is the deal! You interrupt for fire coverage that has been going on all day. All the other channels, aren't interrupting their programs. You better reair this 2nd to last episode! PS Also add another season! This sucks!
Posted by: Jaime | May 8, 2007 11:02 PM
Gilmore Girls has been one of the best family shows around and I'm very sad to see it end but I think it really is about time to say goodbye because hey how many times can Lorelai fall in love.... Luke and Lorelai need to be reunited and have a happy ending together. So CW please bring in shows like these for us to watch because all those horror shows are not doing much for CW.
Posted by: annie | May 8, 2007 11:02 PM
I agree with all the other postings. Return to regular scheduled programming or tell us when it is going to reair so we can change the chanel. So convienent for the studio is right since it has decided to pull the greatest show on Tuesday night. Enough of the fires. We live in California, this is expected considering the winds and warning this morning that Mark gave us. Regardless one of the most historic landmarks is close to the fire, what about the Hollywood sign? Is that not important? I would be sad to see that do up in flames. PUT GILMORE GIRLS BACK ON!!!! this is depressing :(
Posted by: Gina | May 8, 2007 11:01 PM
Gilmore Girls has been the only show that I will go out of my way to watch, and you guys just skipped the entire show for some fire coverage! I dont even live in California!
Posted by: Naomi | May 8, 2007 11:01 PM
KTLA: I live in SoCal, yet I do not care about what you're reporting. Yes, there is a fire going on! It happens all the time! It might have been interesting the first 5 minutes, but an HOUR? This is riddiculous! How dare you interrupt the 2nd to last episode of Gilmore Girls?! Please, announce a rerun of this episode!
Posted by: Carolyn | May 8, 2007 11:00 PM
KTLA better air tonight's episode again or else I won't be able to see it until it comes out on DVD and I won't know what's going on next week for the last show ever!
Posted by: angry viewer | May 8, 2007 11:00 PM
You have to re-air this episode! This week! How many calamities must we see over and over before you realize that we'd tune in later during newstime if you'd let us watch the shows we original tuned you in to see.
Posted by: Pat | May 8, 2007 10:58 PM
KTLA better re-broadcast this 2nd to the LAST episode of this much loved series. The "breaking news" of the LA fires could have waited until the evening news. Gilmore Girls fans deserve better!!!

MUST WE LISTEN TO HAL REPEAT HIMSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!!! I AM SO DISGUSTED RIGHT NOW THAT U INTERRUPTED THE SECOND TO LAST EPISODE FOR THIS!!!U BETTER REAIR THIS EPISODE BEFORE NEXT WEEKS FINALE OR U R GONNA HAVE A LOT OF ANGRY FANS. ALTHOUGH IM ALREADY ANGRY AFTER THIS SENSELESS INTERRUPTION
Posted by: Dawn | May 8, 2007 10:57 PM
hate that it has to end this way- especially since the last season was so disjointed from the rest of the seasons of the show... to make things much WORSE- the stupid news on ktla decided to pre-empt the show and cover a fire and say all the same stuff for the entire show and say things that could have been covered in 2-3 minutes.
Posted by: Frank O | May 8, 2007 10:56 PM
Is there any way we can get Alexis & Lauren to reconsider?! I realize they are tired. But, I mean, why not do an abbreviated season to wrap up all the plot lines. Of course, I may not watch the ending since I am really furious about the breakup of Logan & Rory. WHAT ARE THE WRITERS THINKING???? Why can't Rory move to SF with Logan & have the relationship & the career? It IS the 21st century, after all.
Posted by: Melissa O in NYC | May 8, 2007 10:56 PM
Well, the CW is finally doing it. They have just canceled 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls. I guess Smallville and One Tree Hill will be next. Then they might as well just go off the air, as they will no longer have anything worth tuning in for at all. Whoever the "Program Director" is should be strung up by their thumbs and left to starve. So far the new IDIOT has gotten rid of good wholesome shows like 7th heaven, Gilmore Girls, Reba, Charmed, Everwood and other family type programs and what do they replace them with? Friday night Smackdown, Search for the next Pussycat, America's next Top Model, Beauty and the Geek and whatever other bottem of the barrel programs that no decent network would carry.
My family used to wait to watch these good programs, but now I won't let them watch the trash that is now showing. I cannot feel that these replacements are for family viewing, especially for young children. I guess the CW feels that the sleeze balls that are instrested in the programs will raise their ratings or mabey Warner Brothers is just trying to get out of the television market all together. Whichever it is will be their downfall.
Posted by: Mad Dog | May 8, 2007 10:55 PM
Okay,
this is getting rwally retarded. Theres 10 frickin minutes left of the show and we've only gotten to watch like 5 minutes of it!
I know this is probably really heartless, but we've seen all we really need to see about the Griffin fire! I mean seriuosly, they just keep repeating the same information over and over again, I could probably recite the whole news cast!
This is really frusterating!!!!
Posted by: Dee | May 8, 2007 10:52 PM
I am shocked to hear that Gilmore Girls is almost over! And then to top it off you interupt the show for a fire...honestly, I dont live in LA and I really dont care about the progress of the fire. You guys better strongly think about rerunning this episode of Gilmore Girls!
Posted by: Naomi | May 8, 2007 10:52 PM
What the heck man! you don't see the other channels interrupting their regular schedule programs to show the fire! stupid ktla. they've been doing this all day. it's enough!
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 10:52 PM
The final episode has already been shot & CW didn't have the courtesy to even tell Lauren & Alexis it was over! CW has trashed all the good WB shows and have lost me forever! Now when will you re-show tonight's episode - since the network is using the fire to stay on the air repeating the same thing over and over and over...

Posted by: CaliKris | May 8, 2007 10:49 PM
I want to know when CW is re-airing this Gilmore Girls episode. I find it ridiculous that only CW would interrupt prime time television while its competitors stick with regular programming. There has been fire coverage all day, I dont think its goin anywhere anytime soon. But thanks for not airing Gilmore Girls in the greater LA area....its definitely a way to keep fans coming back to CW>

i'm going insane!!!! this fire in california has interrupted the 2nd to last episode of gilmore girls!!! AHHH!!! PLEASE REPLAY IT!!
Posted by: cindee | May 8, 2007 10:42 PM
We are so disappointed that KTLA decided to interrupt Gilmore Girls when it is the second to last episode. The FIRE will be there at 9:00pm. ABC would have never interrupted Grey's Anatomy!!!!
Posted by: Julie | May 8, 2007 10:42 PM
Who in the H... started that stupid fire anyway. KTLA you need to replay this episode of Gilmore Girls. For crying out loud, Logan is proposing tonight. Have you no feeeeelingsssssssssssssss. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh

gilmore girls should move to a different channel since they are being cancelled when they shouldnt
Posted by: marchioni | May 8, 2007 10:41 PM
Okay, I don't even live in California and the only CW station we get here at my college is KTLA, so I don't get to see the second to last episode of Gilmore Girls because there is a fire in California. I live in Ohio...we don't get massive fires, we get lots of rain, so please let us see the show. And stop talking about the helicopters!!!
Posted by: Kathleen | May 8, 2007 10:40 PM
i can't believe it's ending. i'm so depressed. i also will stop watching the cw. the rest of the shows are horrible. gilmore girls forever
Posted by: margi | May 8, 2007 10:40 PM
I am so mad about the fires ruining this episode (besides the fact that Hal is repeating information over and over, I had to put it on mute)how can we find out when they will replay the entire episode?
Posted by: jessica | May 8, 2007 10:39 PM
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I can't believe they are interupting gilmore girls for their "breaking news"!! The guy can't even think of things to say he had to ask the guy where he was going to get fuel and how long it was going to take him!! Who cares?? I don't!! And I don't think anyone else does!!! It has been on since 8:13pm and it is now 8:36pm and they have said nothing of importance!! They better air this episode again or I swear I will never watch this stupid channel again this is outrageous. I just sent their station an e-mail about how this has made me feel. I don't think the peopel that work there care about their viewers becuase one they cancelled one of their best shows and then they interupt it with "breaking news"!! This sucks!!
Posted by: Hannah | May 8, 2007 10:39 PM
Please announce tonight if you are going to show tonights episode later this evening. Please. OH and I am realllllly disAPPOINTED -- THE ONLY TV SHOW I WATCH AND IT'S BEING CANCELLED == More crap reality TV?
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 10:38 PM
yup my night is ruined as well dont get to see one of the last ever episodes of one of my favorite shows because a fire happening more than 60 miles away is getting all the news coverage and the "newsperson" has done nothing but repeat himself the entire time
Posted by: sami | May 8, 2007 10:38 PM
I agree! If you are going to preempt the show to show us hours of absolutely no new information about the fire, you could at least have the show available for viewing on-line. Esp. since this is an important episode and not one of the fillers we sometimes get. If you don't provide us with a re-run of this episode you are going to have a lot of angry people on your hands. And please, do not report it to LA area cable, satellite and TiVo as a repeat, it was never aired in the first place.
Posted by: Jax | May 8, 2007 10:37 PM
40 minutes on this fire is a bit much. ktla 5 needs to replay gilmore girls.
Posted by: heidi | May 8, 2007 10:37 PM
Way to go KTLA you have lived up to your potential again. You interupted Gilmore Girls to show us continuous coverage of the fire. A simple update and quick return to the show would have sufficed. Instead you chose to anger fans of the show and loose viewers at the same time. I have already changed the channel. No one wants to see the fire! Get a clue.
Posted by: Dayna Troy | May 8, 2007 10:36 PM
Cali should protest for a reviewing tonight!!! this is ridiculous!!! that reporter is having problems trying to think of something to say and their are millions waiting on the line for Gilmore girls here!!!
Posted by: Britt | May 8, 2007 10:36 PM
I'd like to say a farewell to the show, but since the idiots at KTLA have interrupted the second to last episode EVER... it wouldn't be so bad if the announcers weren't just repeating themselves over and over.
Posted by: Van Martin | May 8, 2007 10:36 PM
Okay KTLA please replay episode. We don't care about breaking news seriously we want Gilmore Girls!!!!
Posted by: Alexa | May 8, 2007 10:36 PM
i love gilmore girls.
and it would be GREAT if i could see the second to last episode, but apparently KTLA thinks extensive coverage of these fires (i.e., showing live footage of different angles of the same thing while a reporter chatters unintelligently) is the key to ratings.
really.
and about gilmore girls -- if only they had paid amy sherman palladino more, this season wouldn't have been as soap opera-y...i wish there could have at least been an extra 13 seasons with amy rehired! she could have fixed the lunacy from this season...
Posted by: megan | May 8, 2007 10:35 PM

Posted by: anti-fire | May 8, 2007 10:30 PM
One of the few shows that deals with positive attitudes, thoughts, and interaction between people. So sad to see it go off the air, the writers were doing a great job keeping the viewers interested. Maybe the viewers can change the minds of the writers????

I am really sad about Gilmore Girls coming to end. It appears that in Southern CA we won't even get to see the second to last episode. Stupid lack of rain here causing fires that have to be shown constantly.
Posted by: Elizabeth Myers | May 8, 2007 10:23 PM
OMG we can't believe the show is going to be canceled. There are plenty more episodes of the next generation to plan. Luke and lorelei have to be married, Rory and Logan have to. It is such a bummer to cancel such a good show.
Posted by: Shannon | May 8, 2007 10:13 PM
Shock and Awe!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very displeased with the decision to cancel Gilmore Girls. My Mom and I have been watching this show for many years as part of our weekly ritual. GG sparks meaningful conversations about choices and consequences in life. I am still mad.. i will never say cw again!! or watch it...hmmh
Posted by: Taylor | May 8, 2007 10:00 PM
I agree with many of the other comments...I love the Gilmore Girls but I just want to see Luke and Lorelai get back together. I personally think Rory deserves better than Logan. Anyway, I have watched the network go down hill since it has changed but that will be for you to deal with. I won't be watching anymore, there isn't anything left. Re-runs of old shows we've seen a million times. Like Friends (never get enough of) but I've seen them all over and over. Seriously think you are making a huge mistake but whatever you do make the finale rememberable and good luck for those that may be watching in the future.

Posted by: Kimberly | May 8, 2007 9:26 PM
I am devastated at the news that the Gilmore's will not be returning. It is SHOCKING and horrifying to me. I feel like my best friends died!! We didn't even have time to prepare ourselves! The new writers were just "getting it" and there were soooo many story lines left. Whoever made this decision should be fired!!!
Posted by: Lesley | May 8, 2007 9:24 PM
Gilmore Girls is the last series I follow and now it will shortly be gone. I feel as if a part of me will be gone too. This was quality programming with witty dialogue that I have been following for the last seven seasons. I will be one of those people that will stop watching TV as there is nothing that captures my attention. Goodbye Gilmore Girls!!!
Posted by: bn | May 8, 2007 9:23 PM
I have been watching the show for years and record it on my dvr and watch it over and over again. This is my favorite show. It is unfortunate that you are not going to end it on a happier note. This is a great show and it will be greatly missed. Please reconsider! It has a large fan base and I am one of the shows biggest fan!
Posted by: Yocasta | May 8, 2007 9:07 PM
It is clear that the CW is going to lose a whole lot of fans. This is so stupid there is so much to do with this show, I'm not saying to keep it on forever but at least another season just to properly end such a long running and great show. The characters are so easy to relate to. It's not fair that there will only be one more episode I can guarantee that this will be the most unsatisfying series finally ever. And how are they throwing Rori a Bon Voyage party...where the hell is she goin with no job! They need to resolve these issues. The CW sucks!
Posted by: anonymous | May 8, 2007 9:02 PM
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
why, do they have to cancell gilmore girls.
Its the best show on tv
i cant imagine my life without them
cant they do one more season so we can see the details of what happens to the characters?
i will always love GILMORE GIRLS

Posted by: HS | May 8, 2007 8:43 PM
I can not believe CW is canceling Gilmore girls. honestly you are going to lose so many viewers. This is the ONLY show i watch on your network so you are losing a viewer. You had to ruin the WB and take away all of the great shows. Go away. get the WB back. Gilmore Girls are still goign on strong. there is no reason for you guys to end it. Im in shock.

As I sat and waited for the coming attractions for next weeks episode of GG, my jaw hit the floor and the tears flowed from my eyes. I could not believe what I was seeing nor the fact that I had been blindsided. There was no "last 7 episodes" etc advertisements for the ending of the show as we got with 7th Heaven and the like. Since I do not go to the CW website (I dispise spoilers), I had no idea that my most beloved show was ending. I have watched GG since day one and there is so much left undone. Suki and Jackson are pregnant (again), Luke needs to marry Lorelei and Rory needs to find her way. I feel it is very unfair of the CW11 to do this to its loyal fans of this great show. This was the last show that I absolutely watched every week (I will watch Smallville and One Tree Hill but don't get upset if I fall asleep during it). This is basically the end of the CW for me. I think you guys blew this one big time.

I am very disappointed that Gilmore Girls is ending. It is a great show and the CW network should do anything and everything it can to get to show back on the air. It was the only show that I looked forward to watching all week long. Having it come as a shock that the seriers finale is a week away is nonetheless disheartening. The show was fantastic. Get the Palladino's back. I hate this. At least if the show has to end have it end on a upbeat note. Lorelei and Luke together and Rory and Logan engaged for the time being. Gilmore Girls was the only show that I watched on the CW network, I guess I won't be tuning in any more I no reason too. You just lost my viewership.

I can't believe gilmore girls is canceled!!! This is a very bad move!! I am so sad I can't even express my feelings!!! I am so sad!!! My dad and i watch this show together! We buy the DVD's and we watch a show every week. Why are they canceling Gilmore Girls??? Are they crazy?? I want Logan and Rory to get married. I was so looking forward to another season!! This series finale better be a great ending!!!!Gilmore Girls will always be missed by millions of people including me. Gilmore Girls will live on forever in my heart!! GILMORE FAN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

omg how can u end this show? it is such a GREAT show!!! i have been watching that show from the start and it makes me want to cry that u are taking it off the air!! so y r u? i think that this show deserves to go on and i think that A LOT of people would continue to watch it. i mean look how many comments there is about this show already!!!!
Posted by: tink | May 8, 2007 8:23 PM
I can't beleive it. It was just getting good. No reason for a TV now. :(
Posted by: Tonya | May 8, 2007 8:22 PM
This show means the world to me.. A dear friend of mine past away from breast cancer last year and we used to watch it together.. this is a way for me to sit down and remember her each week and its a way to stay connected to her.. I really hope that the CW changes their minds. This is a great show and truly be missed if taken off the air, and on top of everything there is so much that needs to be cleared up with everyone...
Posted by: Laura-Jean | May 8, 2007 8:18 PM
I am so mad about GG being over! Why would they cancel a show like this. They should try cutting out Seventh Heaven!!!! There are sooo many questions to be answered yet!!! What will I do with my Tuesday nights? And Logan was such a jerk for just walking away from Rory like that! "All or nothing" that's such crap!
Posted by: Lizzie | May 8, 2007 8:15 PM
How could you end Gilmore Girls?! It is the most awesome show! Everyone watches it, so why cancel one of the most popular shows? And by the way, it is completely wrong how Rory and Logan aren't getting married. They belong together! Don't you even understand how your own show should turn out? This is a completely awful ending to a show that SHOULDN'T end.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 8:15 PM
OMG!!I just started to watch Gilmore Girls and I want more!PLEASE!One more season and have everything go perfectly...Logan and Rory should stay together and Luke and Lorelai should get married!JUST RE-RUN LIKE CRAZZYY!!!
Posted by: Stashy | May 8, 2007 8:13 PM
Please Please Please DO NOT cancel the Gilmore Girls, it is my favorite show. I look forward to watching it every week. It is such a part of my life. My daughter and I are loyal fans and cried we heard the horrible news. Please reconsider!!
Posted by: Laurel Tschetter | May 8, 2007 8:13 PM
I'm severely in shock over this! Tuesday's have meaning because of the GGs. I can't believe they're going to try to tie up that many loose ends in a one hour show! The least they could do is give us a two hour finale. PLEASE. For the love of all that is good in life, please give us a proper ending.
Posted by: Katie | May 8, 2007 8:13 PM
I just found out the Gilmore Girls only has one more episode and I am extremely sad!!! The show still has so many more stories to be told and has too many loose endings right now to end. I think this is a big mistake and beg you to re-consider. This is the only show I watch on CW, so without Gilmore Girls, I have no other reason to watch this channel.
Posted by: Candi | May 8, 2007 8:13 PM
I cant believe my favorite show is over. So many things need to happen before it is over (luke and lorelai getting back together and possibly married)Do they think no one is watching this show cause let me tell you thats the biggest lie. This is such a bad and BIG mistake, that needs to be fixed. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL!!!!
Posted by: ashley | May 8, 2007 8:13 PM
you can't stop the gilmore girls! there are still so many questions left... what about rory? what is she going to do? she's not going to get married???
Posted by: stardelight | May 8, 2007 8:12 PM
I cant believe the CW would let its best show off the air. Gilmore Girls was the only good show it had on and now i refuse to watch anything on this network
Posted by: Kathi | May 8, 2007 8:12 PM
Well I have to say the CW truly sucks. Gilmore Girls is the only show that I tuned into on it. When it was the WB I watched it all the time. I guess next Tuesday will be the last time I tune in to this channel forever. People at the CW who decided to can Gilmore Girls, you made a big mistake you lost the rest of the viewers you still had after all the bad changes you made, Veronica Mars sucks!!! you should have cancelled that instead. Let`s see what will you replace it with another ethnic show?????I`m sorry I`m not racist but the tv channel should be called the BET2 like every show is ethnic. What`s up with that????
Posted by: Taralopic | May 8, 2007 8:10 PM
I can't believe that Rory said NO to Logans marriage propsal and let him walk away.....I Am SOOOOOO disappointed with how the show is ending, this has been my favorite show forever and i feel like it has let me down with the turn it has taken
Posted by: Kathi | May 8, 2007 8:08 PM
dear CW,
you cannot cancel this show. As my girls are growing up we grow farther apart but this show is one of the things that brings us back together. Also the story line is amazing and there are still questions and things that need to happen in the show... you cannot end gilmore girls it is a tuesday night with the girls tradition.. please do not spoil that.
Posted by: Suellyn McGlew | May 8, 2007 8:08 PM
It's a sad, sad day when a great and awesome show like the Gilmore Girls is getting canceled......I've watched this show since it's first episode.....so many questions need to be answered. I'm literally blown away by the way the CW just canceled the show this way.......Not Fair.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 8:07 PM
I love Gilmore Girls!!!! my mom & i watch it all the time!! & we have all 6 and soon to be 7 seasons on DVD! this will always be my favorite show!!
It is stupid to get rid of one of the best shows on your station!! if you get rid of One Tree Hill next .. i am NEVER watching the CW again!! please dont get rid of OTH .. and please reconsider getting rid of Gilmore Girls!! There is still soo much we want to see!!!!

How can you do this to me.
To the actors. I whatched this show so long.
And thanks for the great gift. It ends the day before my birthday
Posted by: Kate | May 8, 2007 8:03 PM
My daughter and I are so disappointed that Gilmore Girls is not returning. It is one of the few shows we love to watch together. There are so few family shows to watch. We are losing Seventh Heaven and Gilmore Girls. These are the only two shows I watch on a weekly basis. It really stinks.
Posted by: Tammy Grom and Megan | May 8, 2007 8:00 PM
I cannot believe Gilmore Girls is being cancelled!! This is one of the saddest TV moments in my life. I have watched this show since the very first episode and it fast became my favorite show on TV, and still is. PLEASE reconsider and let the fans and television viewers continue to watch this show. We need to see the "girls" marry their handsome men, and live happily ever after. This is just soooo unfair. I suppose I will have to watch another network during this time slot now.
Posted by: Michele S. | May 8, 2007 7:18 PM
I am absolutely heart broken that you are cancelling the show...I have watched since day one! I even watch the repeats on TBS...the show must go on!!! I need to see Rory and Logan get married...please keep it going!
Posted by: Natalie | May 8, 2007 7:17 PM
I loved gilmore girls, but i think it is ready to end. This season and last season weren't as good as the first 5. They brought in new unecessary characters, and they had storylines.
Posted by: kara | May 8, 2007 6:47 PM
I can't believe that ur ending my favorite show cw and warner brothers. Why would want to end such a good show. this show has help me through alot and u guys need to re-think ur decision about ending the show. I going to miss those crazy Gilmore

WHYYYYY???????????
Posted by: nic | May 8, 2007 5:50 PM
just wondering why these people like cw11 have to take over our beloved wb11 and then drop all of our favorite shows how is it that they choose to continue such a lengthy show such as seventh heaven lets be real that show has been dead for years but a show such as gilmore girls that i have watched for years is being discontinued!!! it is outrageous!!! this show is great and there is so much that can be done with it from here!!! the cw should really see the ratings that they are going to lose!
Posted by: ashley | May 8, 2007 5:40 PM
don't cancel the show so many questions still need to be asked and answered please don't stop the show
Posted by: Gilmore Girl Lover | May 8, 2007 5:37 PM
How can you stop that show CW? You really are canceling every single good show. We need to see Rory and Logan get married. We need to see Luke and Lorelai get married and have kids of their own. End the show when Lorelai is a grandmother. You can't stop this show. Play the reruns everyday and a new episode like once a month fine. DON'T CANCEL THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Gilmore Girl Lover | May 8, 2007 5:34 PM
Still can't beleive it! Loved the show, the actresses and actors, the writing, all of it! But, if you must, go with God big and little Lorelei's! You will be missed as this has been my favorite show for all seven seasons.

OMG! how can you end gilmore girls! it is the best show in the whole world and its going to end. PLease dont end it because then i will die! I was looking forward to many more seasons of this great show=] Why are you getting rid of GILMORE GIRLS??? I love gilmore girls<33 i have watched all 7 seasons and have all the dvds and i was looking forward to buying the 7th seasoon,,and hopefully the 8th..how could u do this to all the gg fans out their..please reconsider cancelling. This show isnt just a show..its my life and its wayy too good to give up. You people are CRAZY!! The finale better be AMAZING! Although I do not think that it is possible to have a good finale with only an hour time frame. I think that this is a very big mistake that will cost the CW its viewers!
you have now ruined many peoples lives and television choices..no one is ever going to watch the cw ever again...you should be ashamed..happy now?

Posted by: ariel | May 8, 2007 5:17 PM
I would just like to say that since the CW has taken over... nothing good has come of it. Though I campaigned hard for an 8th season, I shouldve known that the CW couldnt persuade the girls. After May 15th, I'm done with this network.
Posted by: Ashley | May 8, 2007 4:59 PM
When the CW used to be the WB my wife and I watched it all the time, now that the CW has cancled nearly all of the good shows that were on the WB we don't watch it as much and since the Gilmore Girls are no more that only leaves Smallville so guess we will not be watching the CW much anymore. What a way to run a bisuness!!
Posted by: pete | May 8, 2007 4:55 PM
I am deeply dissapointed at the decision to cancel this show. I used to watch the (WB) almost every night. They had such great shows on. Then they cancelled them all. I was overjoyed when I found out that 7th Heaven was coming back, but then CW changed it to Sunday nights and I always forgot to watch it and haven't since. Finally I was down to one night watching the CW - Gilmore Girls, and honestly if you take this show too, I won't watch anymore. I really believe that the CW will regret this move after rating seriously plummet. Words cannot express how deeply saddened all the GG fans out there are. You have broken the hearts of loyal fans of seven long years. Shame on you.
Posted by: Heather | May 8, 2007 4:41 PM
i have been watching gilmore girls for 7 seasons and i own all the dvds and its just not the same seeing them on tv...i think the CW owes it to the fans to let us see an 8th season.
Posted by: Samantha | May 8, 2007 4:32 PM
You people are CRAZY!! The finale better be AMAZING! Although I do not think that it is possible to have a good finale with only an hour time frame. I think that this is a very big mistake that will cost the CW its viewers!

I can not believe that Gilmoer Girls is ending!! I never saw this happening..I at least thought there would be one more season..Umm Luke and Lorilie so have be together..thats the way it has to end and maybe with another kid. This is depressing.Geez CW your cancelling all the favourite shows!
Posted by: Jessica | May 8, 2007 3:59 PM
I love gilmore girls. It's my favorite show! I'm so mad their making the series finale.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 8, 2007 3:55 PM
I liked this channel when it was The WB. All the CW has done is cancel my favorite shows. So that's it, I'm not watching anything else on the CW and I hope it's ratings sink to last!
Posted by: Dee | May 8, 2007 3:32 PM
This is crazy, First it was Reba, then 7th Heaven (luckly they got smart and kept it on) and now Gilmore Girls, I watch it every week with my hubsand and my daughter. I even watch the re-runs on ABC family-Its crazy and just not right. KEEP IT ON!
Posted by: Wendi | May 8, 2007 2:59 PM
First Everwood, then Reba, Now no mroe Gilmore Girls, are you kidding? There isn't going to be anything worth watching on this channel pretty soon. Next you'll be saying no more One Tree Hill and Smallville. Thats all there is left, I probably won't watch this channel at all if they go At least someone had sense enough to keep 7th Heaven on
Not happy with you new people, at all.

I´ll really miss girlmore girls. It´s a sad news.I loved this show.
Posted by: Hernán-Argentina | May 8, 2007 12:26 PM
Now look you people always ending some good show. Lets hope at the end there is a double wedding for Lorali and Rory. You know Lifetime did the same thing with Monarc Cove and it was so good. You need to stop making people getting so attached to a show and then ending it. Wel lets hope you come with a great ending.
Posted by: Rakesha Cummings | May 8, 2007 11:59 AM
This is the best show the cw HAS! Have the execs completely lost their minds?! This is absolutely outrageous!!! Why would they pull their highest rated show? Give me what they're smoking, PLEASE!
My only hope is that they pull a 7th Heaven and put it on for a final season. I'm just shaking my head. GG fans unite and flood cw HQ with phone calls, emails, and letters. The cw obviously doesn't have a clue!

I have been a faithful follower of the Gilmore Girls since the show began. I have cried with you and laughed with you. Being a single mom I could relate to the show. Even though its only T.V. some of the issues you dealt with are real and you helped me get thru some of the tough times raising my teenager daughter. My daughter and I would do something silly and say "we just had a Gilmore moment" You will definitely be missed in our household. Thank you for lasting 7 years and good luck to you all in your future endeavors.

It is sad to see the show go. I have grown up with the show. And just to see what has changed through all of these years it is like wow. Tuesday just will be an empty space from now on. There isn't another show that compares. I loved the concept of the show for the "Gilmorisms" to the towns people. Nothing comapares. All great things must come to an end even though it will be missed. I just wished there were more then two last episodes. But it was some what planned to end now and might as well end on a high note.
Posted by: Laura Burk | May 7, 2007 7:03 PM
the only reason Gilmore Girls lost so many ratings is because it's in the same time slot as American Idol. Any show in that slot would suffer.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 7, 2007 6:01 PM
don't listen to him he is just being a jerk and i think that they should do a another season of gilmore girls because they are a good sourceof family values and they are really an awesome show to watch and please do not take it off the air????????????
Posted by: tiffany | May 7, 2007 5:54 PM
It's very sad that good shows such as this one end before their time or are cancelled. Gilmore girls had a refreshing, excellent tone with content like not too many left and one that I am sure a lot of people can relate to. Why is it that the networks make this decisions? what do they base it on? why is it that they choose violence and sex over good family shows?
American teens need more shows like Gilmore girls and those that don't necessarily related to drugs, abuse, superficiality, over rated or violence.
Posted by: Clilianb | May 7, 2007 5:48 PM
I am grieving as though I have a lost a loved one. Or in this case as I lose a whole town of love ones. I knew in my heart of hearts that The Gilmore Girls were going to be wrapping it up, but I was in denial hoping like mad that the show would be continuing at least one more season. I feel now as though we had no warning, no time to prepare ourselves for this loss. I'm heartbroken. I have come to cherish Star's Hollow and the inhabitants thereof like the characters are family members.
I am grieving for not being able to see Lorelai living happily ever after or Rory living her dream as a journalist. I feel absolutely jipped.
No other show will ever be able to satisfy me like the Gilmore Girls did. I will miss the snappy dialogue, the colorful characters, and the never-ending wit. You will be missed by my daughter and I. I am so sad.
Posted by: Katie Hannon | May 7, 2007 5:22 PM
I'm not happy about this at all. This means that there is no special send off. They most likely just shot these last two episodes thinking it was just the ending for this season. So I'm sure there will be a cliff hanger that will leave us all to wonder. I hate when shows just get cancelled just like that without wrapping everything up in a nice neat bow! We don't even know what Sookie's baby is going to be. Everything is just going to be left up and the air and that is just so unfair!
Posted by: Dee | May 7, 2007 3:05 PM
Okay, when I heard that the show would come back for a shortened season, I was hyped. When the deal fell through, I was a little disappointed, but all great things must come to an end, right? I've never watched an episode of 7th Heaven, but from what I've heard, that show stayed on air waaaaaay longer than it should have. That's what FANS of the show say. And, I for one, don't want Gilmore Girls end up that way. When this season began, all the powers to be were expecting this to be the final season. So, they wrote it as such. Any loose strings that are left on the 15th will have been done by the writers...on purpose. Not having another season didn't destroy their plans. So, everyone in near tears would benefit greatly to realize that. Gilmore Girls is not being given the ax. They're being given an out, and they have graciously chosen to take it b/c they feel it's time. I'm sad to see the show end b/c of the crappy season we were given, but I'll live. And, you guys have no idea how much I LOVE this show and its characters. There will never be another show like this. But, in all honesty, speaking from someone who detested the crap out of this season, I mourned the show a long time ago. Sad.

I lost interest in the Gilmore Girls when they broke up Lorelei with Chris. I was very disappointed because I felt they were very good together. Her and Luke did not fit.

i am really sad and disappointed that this is ending. this is my favorite show and it hurts me that it wouldnt be on anymore. i love this show and am in complete shock that it is ending my heart is breaking
Posted by: xocutiexo | May 7, 2007 1:44 PM
I just re-read my post, and I saw a very big mistake. I didn't mean 'this season has been the most awful of them all', implying the others were bad. That was horrible wording. The other seasons were great. Very great. Season 6 got a little rocky, but it was still among the best. Season 7 stood alone in its awfulness. Thought I'd clear that up.
Posted by: Specs | May 7, 2007 1:42 PM
Its not fair, you can't just suddenly say "Next week its all over." You have to give us time for this. Why is that 7th Heaven gets a bunch of different send offs, but Gilmore girls fans get a two weeks notice.(Not even two weeks)
I am about to cry, thats how much this show means to me.
There is just too much that is still left to be done. I need to know that Luke and Lorelai will end up together. As lame as it seems to have something like this mean so much to me, its my life. These two girls have given me inspiration. If I could be anyone in the world, I would be either one of them.
At least do the 13 episodes thing. Come on, you keep saying you are going to cancel 7th Heaven (Which is a horrible show), at least give us a bit more time. This is like breaking up with a million girls. Its not something easy to do.
Posted by: Nicole | May 7, 2007 1:41 PM
I am so upset about this. I knew it would end soon but I was hoping for some things to be tied up first. Luke and Lorelei. A real wedding for Lorelei. A wedding for Rory. I will be so mad if this show ends with unresolved issues. I know it's just a TV show but you can't just leave us hanging!

They better end it well. If they can't wrap it up properly in these last 2 episodes the least the stars and the CW could do is give the fans a proper ending and do a half season or even just a two hour tv movie wrapup. If it just ends like a dumped together whoops it ended faster than we thought it would....yeah....that will suck and basically say "we know you watched us for 7 years but we couldn't be bothered giving you a real end to the story, bye!"

why cancel it, its on of the best shows on tv. we need to see rory and logan together, just when things get good they end the show!
Posted by: angelika | May 7, 2007 9:22 AM
We need another season of Glimore Girls! We have been with them since Rory was 16 through all the ups and downs mostly we need to see Rory's wedding the girls cant leave use not knowing how the wedding went or what kind of job Rory got so dont end it now.
Posted by: Phoebe | May 7, 2007 9:03 AM
This show ending is awful. Most of the time you feel a show is ready to end, but this one has so much life left. I would think they would at least give us loyal fans one more season to tie everything up the right way. Now we only have 2 more episodes. That hardly seems fair! How can you put everything right in that? I think I could handle the series ending, just not this way. It is such a great show I'm sorry to see it go. Especially when others that aren't half as good get to stay. Maybe the network will realize what an injustice it is doing to it's fans and wrap it up with some episodes next season. We can always hope someone out there will do the right thing!
Posted by: Elissa | May 7, 2007 9:00 AM
OMG!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
There HAS to be one more season, just one! We have to see a full season with Luke and Lorelei together, Rori on the west coast and we deserve the right to see Lane's and Suki's kids grow up a little. PLEASE don't make this a tragic year for all involved!
Posted by: Danielle | May 7, 2007 7:32 AM
oh, brother. why is everyone blaming the CW for terminating this show when it's really the stars themselves who don't want to come back?
Posted by: mcm | May 7, 2007 1:56 AM
The Gilmore Girls should really have one more season even if it is only half a season. They just can't wrap it up and tie a pretty bow on it, in two more shows. The story will be left to wander. If they were going to end it like this I wish they would have ended it last year with Loralei in Chris's bed. This sucks!!!!!!!!! I understand that the girls don't want to come back next year too but don't leave the show in laa laa land come on have some respect for you viewers.
Posted by: C | May 7, 2007 1:18 AM
Right now the Gilmore Girls is one of the best TV shows on the air today.
One more season will tie up all story lines. Which is what the show and the fans deserve. Obviously, loyalty to a show or a TV station does not mean much.
How you can take off such a well written, acted, directed and best cast ever put together since the Dick Van Dyke show, Mary Tyler Moore show and the Bob Newhat show is beyond me.
You have no respect for the fans. You need to show respect to receive respect. I will no longer watch anything on the CW.
Posted by: Carol Lammie | May 7, 2007 12:46 AM
CW you are making the biggest mistake of life. Gilmore Girls is your only good show, and now your ditching it. Lauren, you are definitely an inspiration, i love all you work, and Alexis, i hope you go on to do great, great things.
This show was so close to me because it reminded me so much of my relationship with my own mother, it was something we could share. please reconsider CW!
Posted by: B | May 6, 2007 10:14 PM
i am in absolute shock. how can they be ending the show. I love this show, i'm so attached to ot, it's so unfair. they can't end things before Luke and Lorelai get together. that what this show has been centered on for the past 7 yuears and now they're going to leave everything up in the air. Gilmore Girls fans derseve aleast a two hour series finale. their is some much left unsolved. Lorelai and Emily are still at odds. If the wirter producers, cast, or anyone really, cared about the show they would wrap things up nicely and from the looks of the episode summary i found on the website (Lorelai and Luke reach a new understanding; Stars Hollow throws Rory a huge graduation party.) it doesn't look all that interesting. I couldn't be more pissed. I have been watching this show forever and i will miss it so much.

wow. to cancel gilmore girls is a very poor decision its been amazing for 7 years and has one bad year and you turn it off hwen its getting good. makes no sense
Posted by: lauren | May 6, 2007 9:19 PM
you cannot take this off the air. ughhh! it should be illegal to stop it!
Posted by: Anonymous | May 6, 2007 8:45 PM
I am so disappointed that Gilmore Girls will be going off the air. The dialoge, the relationship and excitment they created added so much to one evening. I looked forward to the adventure, the love and the unexpected. I guess, like all fairy tales wishes and dreams could come true even on TV. Reality verses TV, good TV shows add a little hopefulness in this world.
I wish Luke and Loreli had gotten together forever.
At least we have the DVDs.
There are not too many good shows on TV anymore to watch. I am sad this is being taken off the air.
Thank you for creating such a fun and uplifting show.
from,
Marilyn, faithful watcher of Gilmore Girls

I am not happy that you are getting rid of Gilmore Girls. You first canceled 7th Heaven and now you are getting rid of another great show. This is terrible news.
Posted by: Carol | May 6, 2007 7:44 PM
I love the Gilmore Girls, they were by far the best thing on TV. They were the first show I was really really into, and have followed the whole way through. I hate that it is being taken off and I can't believe they're finishing it in two episodes. That sucks!!! I really hope they change their minds and do at least one more season and give it a proper send-off. They deserve at least that much.
Posted by: Anna | May 6, 2007 6:26 PM
let's just say I don't know how the CW can play junk like the Pussycat Dolls and cancel amazing shows like Gilmore Girls. GG is such a great show that has made me laugh, cry, and much more. This is one of the worst decisions the CW will ever make.
Posted by: Leah | May 6, 2007 6:15 PM
this is not right y r u taking off one of the best shows ever. this is the only show that me and my mom have watched from the very beginning. u should keep going it is a big part of my life it has brought me and my mom closer and how i have might most of my friends

OMG!!!!!!! i am sooooooooooo sad gilmore girls is ending I LOVE THIS SHOW i hope that they have at least one more season this is sooooooo sad
Posted by: sarah paracha | May 6, 2007 2:01 PM
This is ridiculous. you can't finish off 7 amazing years of a quality show in 2 episodes. Gilmore girls was the 1st show i ever watched and i have been hooked ever since. It is the only reason i watch some of the shows i do on the CW, so now that it's canceled i bet the CW will lose a lot of viewers. There's still so much they could do with the show. It was finally starting to improve during this season and get back to the GG we know and then they had to end it. What were they thinking? I love GG and am going to cry when it is over.
Posted by: Leah | May 6, 2007 1:49 PM
I'm sad. What more can I really say? GG is like a family you watch learn and grow. But I guess we all have to let go sometime...

every tues night at 7pm im going to mourn and watch old gilmore girls episodes!! i own all of them and by the way how can they end it there is so much more you can do with this show!! im so upset! even my brother is!
Posted by: Kara | May 6, 2007 11:48 AM
i don't want them to leave.
Posted by: Joan Gonzalez | May 6, 2007 11:10 AM
They succeeded in making everyone unhappy. Not easy performance, really.
Lauren didn't get her creative/producing stuff and her deal, Alexis didn't get her shorter schedule and her conditions.
Fans didn't get the end of the storylines. David doubled his stake on another season and lost. Amy SP didn't get the two seasons she wanted last year.
CW didn't get the shortened 13 episodes for next year.
It could have been sufficient also only 3/4 episodes for giving the fans the proper end they and the show deserve.
It costs so much to everyone?
Or 13 episodes for Lauren and 3 for Alexis, giving the leading actress what the second wouldn't have gotten.
Or giving them both the more human schedule they asked. Are you only able to take? You CW greedy and slave driver.
Posted by: A disappinted fan | May 6, 2007 7:24 AM
I love Gilmore Girls. I too have all 6 seasons on DVD and i am SO SAD that Gilmore Girls is going to be gone but, honestly, things haven't been quite the same this season. I've noticed that certain things like the camera work hasn't been quite as good as previous seasons. maybe this is a sign that things were getting worse and if that's the case, then it's probably better they end it now on a high note as opposed to the end of next season on a low note.
Posted by: Brittany | May 6, 2007 3:12 AM
Nooooo!!!!
Gilmore Girls was, is and always will be the best TV show in the world.
Posted by: Katinka | May 6, 2007 2:11 AM
I may be missing something, but why is everyone assuming that it's the CW's fault? They're the messengers. I'm sure the stars of the show had something to do with it. They had very long hours which left them little time to work on other projects, and maybe they were just ready to move on, which is understandable.
And, as for the actual show ending, I'm impartial. I've been a fan of the show since the beginning. The very beginning. I'm not one of the ones who jumped on the bandwagon via the Family channel (or whatever it's called). That said, if this ending were happening after, say, the fifth season, I would be highly upset. Even if it were happening after season 6, I wouldn't be happy. But in this case, it's been on for seven years, and this year has been the most awful of them all. The whole Christopher thing just murdered the entire season for me. They took it too far, and I hate how the whole thing was handled. It took so much away from the integrity of the show and the characters, and at this point, I just want it to be over. As long as it's on tv, I'll continue to watch it, and I just don't want to anymore.
They now have so little time to get things straight. And, that's exactly how they planned it from the beginning. It probably made sense at the time, not having to delve TOO deep. They started this season with the intention of having it be the last one. The ending that we're going to get on the 15th is the way they planned it to end. In my opinion, that hardly makes it any kind of an injustice. The CW has nothing to do with it. I don't know who does exactly, but I don't think blame should rest on them. Another season would have been like a bonus, and all that's happening by them making that announcement is them telling us that the bonus didn't come through. But, it wasn't a part of the original deal anyway, so why be salty?
They couldn't have been proud of this season. I'm sure they realize that many of the fans weren't. It's almost like bombing your history final and expecting to get a little extra credit to raise your grade some. In my opinion, if you do well on the test, you won't need to depend on the extra credit.
The only thing that I really regret not being able to see is Luke and Lorelai's wedding because I think it would have been amazing. Other than that, I hope we get a good kiss from Luke/Lorelai and a nice send-off for Rory into the real world. Considering the people behind the scenes the season, I'm not expecting much. If all else fails, I have my imagination. It's done a hell of a job getting me through the season, so I doubt it'll let me down after the series ends.
Despite everything, though, the show will definitely have a special place in my DVD collection. Except for season 7. That can just remain at the store.

i love gilmore girls, and always will. but i get all great things must come to an end. it is and will always be the best show on television in my opinion. TO THE CAST AND PRODUCERS/WRITERS/DIRECTORS - YOU HAVE DONE AN AMAZING JOB THESE PAST 7 YEARS ! I LOVE YOU !
Posted by: Jessica R | May 6, 2007 12:17 AM
Sorry CW but the only reason I stayed to see some of the other shows was that they had followed Gilmore Girls. I now have no reason to stay loyal to CW. Most of the shows are geared to the vast wasteland that your station is rapidly becoming. Enough contests, please. Give us some real entertainment, please. Until you do I fear that I will not be the only one watching a DVD or another channel like Hallmark, Lifetime or ABCFamily(Who carries the Girls in all of 6 seasons when they were the best).
The way that they are ending the show as well is very disappointing and far below the standards set by Sherman-Palladino they are leaving all of us up in the air regarding many storylines. We have invested ourselves into this show and as far as I am concerned we have not received what we gave to it in the last season. All things are coming to a standstill in order to do no more episodes but yet execs knew about it not continuing and continued to write about things that had no bearing on tying up stories already started. Way to go guys, I do not think I will even attempt to care about another show written by the storytellers that took over.
Goodbye Girls, and Guys ....I will remember your wonderful 6 SEASON run fondly. So sorry that there was not to be a 7th, as far as I am concerned.

I can't believe one of the best programs on T.V. is coming to such an abrupt end. Many things will be unresolved. It was an hour I looked forward to each week. There is so little on t.v. that is decent enough to watch with your children. THanks for many years of laughter and tears. You will be missed!!

i am so upset by this all of a sudden ending. they better do it right, only two shows left and so many lose ends, doesn't seem right. what will i do without my gilmore girls.
just seems so wrong:(

Okay...I'm obsessed with Gilmore Girls. I own ALL the seasons. I havn't been able to see half of the new episodes because of stupid American Idol. They come on at the same time and my dad records American Idol. Because its recording i cant watch cw33, because its on Fox4. Anyways, this totally sucks. Lorelai and Luke have to get back together. I really want to see what happens with Logan and Rory, and Paris and Doyle. If theyre not finishing because theyre running out of money, i say thats bull, cuz if we all like it, and watch it and buy it, how is that possible. Maybe someone could raise some funds or start a petition or something.

gilmore girls rocks it cant enddd
Posted by: Caroline Southwick | May 5, 2007 6:28 PM
OMG i can't believe that CW is doing this to the fans. I really believe that the Gilmore Girls can't finish this way. There is a lot of things that can't be finish in 2 more episodes. We have to know what the LUKE/LORELAI/CHRISTOPHER triagle finish in, who will she choose?? We have waiting for Lorelai's wedding for so long. And what will happend to Rory and Logan, and what about Lane's baby. This is not fare for the fans. And why is CW cancelling the show?? they don't tell anything to the fans. They can't do that, to all the fans out there that have been watching the show from the first episode, like me. I'm really sorry for the CW, cause after the WB has change his name or whatever they did, they have cancelled all the great show. I'm really sad to see them go that way. The only good shows that are left is Supernatural and Smallville. We will miss Lorelai and Rory's jokes, and their problems in their life.

This show is seriously based on me and my daughter. We have been faithful fans forever and now I feel betrayed that we are being rushed into an incomplete ending. I think it is a dishonor to the cast, writers, and crew to send it off in such a manner. Leave it to the fat-cat tv execs to cancel the only great show on the CW.
Posted by: Christine | May 5, 2007 4:51 PM
The cw sucks for this!!!!!!
Posted by: Mike | May 5, 2007 3:48 PM
Damn the Cw!! Gilmore Girls is a great show! They never should have considered cancellation let alone cancel it!They will no it was a mistake when they loose faithful viewers!!!
Posted by: Ally | May 5, 2007 3:46 PM
I have to say, though I may be the first one, that it's a good thing gilmore girls is ending. it's not that this isn't a fantastic show, it's just that they ran out of things to say quite a long time ago this and last season were quite awful if you ask me- they were just wasting my time.
However, the first three years of this show were some of the best ever on television.
so here's to good memories with the gilmore girls- thanks goodness lauren graham can move on with her career.
oh, another thing. why did everwood get cancelled last year? i think last season's everwood was better than this season's gilmore girls. let's hope one tree hill gets saved because it's the CW's last hope.
Posted by: leah | May 5, 2007 3:35 PM
this is crazy! what is the cw going to do without reba, 7th heaven AND gilmore girls? What are they gonna do, fill in gilmore girls spot with some crap show? It's stupid and there is nothing left to watch on the cw except one tree hill. I wish one tree hill good luck with carrying the whole channel because everything else is gonna suck
Posted by: Marissa | May 5, 2007 2:26 PM
this is the only good show left on the cw11. ever since the wb combined with whatever the heck they combined with all the good shows have ended! PLEASE DONT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gilmore Girls will be missed!!!!!!
I hope the CW will air their re-runs!
Posted by: Grace | May 5, 2007 1:05 PM
this is messed up. first will and grace now this. i have watched this show from the start and haven't missed one since it started. i have based my schedules around this show. i know that i should be happy it lasted this long but seriously why does it have to end now. i think there is no posible way to give the viewers what they all want to happen in two episodes. the new writer just doesn't grasp the gilmore girls way of life.this show could have ended on a exciting twisted note with the old writer but i think with the new one coming up with the last two episodes it will be a totally pridectable bore.
i am gonna miss gilmore girls but greatfully they play reruns on abc family.
Posted by: emily | May 5, 2007 12:36 PM
I hate to see this show leave I love it and the characters give you a happy cheery delight. its sarcastically funny and unreal yet so real in a small town somewhere in the U.S. I have supported this show from the very first time I got a taste of the gilmore girls and it was wonderful, I didn't think I would have to let them go so soon it saddens me. Why not try a grown up year gilmore rory's married lorili settles down life with ling (lane however you spell her name and zach life with the twins and her ever so crazy mama. Whatever just be sure to add the gilmore repeats to a time slot for all to enjoy like everybody loves raymond has 2 shows back to back why not gilmore one of the shows I like raymond but sometimes at that time I actually like to enjoy something else. look into it I don't want to let them goooooooo nOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't do it I can't deal with this drastic change maybe you should have discussed this with us the viewers before you made this drastic change

Just like the many others, this is the ONLY show I looked forward to watching EVERY week. I have seen every episode since the Gilmore Girl inception in '99. I can only hope that you would keep this show running, for it is the ONLY WORTH-WHILE, series, programming on your station. Get it together CW, YOU'RE NOTHING WITHOUT THE GILMORE GIRLS!

I am so upset that the CW would allow somthing like this to happen it is a new network that has great shows and now they are failing there loyal viewers. I have been a faithful GG fan, watching from the onset. I was very upset in the begining of this season when the writters were going in the wrong direction but they are finally getting it right and you take it off the air !!!! I will no longer watch the CW I had used to watch ABC and NBC but was a total CW fan- no longer ONE tree Hill-Smallville even the reruns Reba and Raymond oh well the CW's
loss. A very stupid executive decision. They will realize to late.

At least we know what CW thinks of fans and viewers:
You suck viewer, you like what I say you like.
"We promise to give this series the send off it deserves".
(Last minute LL kiss, Rory and Logan split, but we'll enjoy a big party of Stars Hollow for Rory leaving)
They just keep on fooling us.
Posted by: Kurt | May 5, 2007 6:35 AM
You will all be missed more than you can imagine!! When a show stays on the air as long as Gilmore Girls; it is a result of many factors. Incredible acting abilities, brilliantly written scripts, a dedicated hard working crew and last but NEVER least, the fans that have kept this show running an incredible and very memorable seven years! Your fan base most number in the millions and I do so wish consideration could have been made by all involoved for this wonderfully entertaining, RARE FAMILY show, to have ended with that in mind. There are those of us that have stayed true for all seven years. We watched through a storyline as ridiculous as Christopher's marriage to Lorelei and as heartbreaking as NOT having Luke's marriage to Lorelei; even that shortened 8th season would have greatly appeased us! It is natural and expected that the stars would want to expand their careers and move on to other endeavors and I wish them the very, very best in all they do. I just find it so ironic that the main characters; especially Lorelei, who never wanted anything in her life to be based around her parents wealth becomes part of the reason for the cancellation of this show. Holding out for more more money is one thing; but when your fans wanted even a shortened season to see our beloved Stars Hollow family come full circle and to a COMPLETE ending it just could not be accomplished. A new station like the CW11 and the seasoned actors, together bring this wonderful show to such an abrupt ending. If only each party would have bent HALF way, the fans would have a WHOLE ending!! Thanks for the countless memories, smiles, laughter, love, tears but most of all my gratitude for giving me the very BEST of times with my own daughter!! She is my own "lil Rory;" the "light of my life!!"

I hate to see it go. Especially so abrutbtly. I too think the send off wont give the proper closure to some stories. But on another note, I am glad the are not deciding to contine it on and on. It is a good place to end and I did see it coming. I will miss it! I have no more shows to look forward to anymore. There is just a wholesomeness about this show that can not be found anywhere else.

I am so so sad. Gilmore Girls is one of very few well written shows on TV. It was sweet and funny and made you feel good about life! I am so mad, I will not watch anything on CW at all!!!
They renew crap instead of quality.
I will miss my favorite show of the entire week.
CW, Lauren and Alexis PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MINDS!

OMG! I'm so mad that gilmore girls is ending. It was my favorite show. I loved sitting there watching all the drama. It was very enjoyable. I'm really upset that it's going off air. I'm so mad! Let's all complain and maybe they'll change it.
btw: It ends on my BIRTHDAY!!! :(

I can't believe this great show is ending so abruptly without much warning. Good TV is hard to find anymore. I've watched this show from the beginning and it will be a sad day that the show is ending. I hope the CW will rethink their decision and keep this show going. Let's do whatever it takes to keep it going.

This totally sucks. Now its not going to end the way all us fans hoped it would. I dont think they can give this show the proper send off in only 2 episodes. Now I have nothing to look forward to look forward to during the week. But oh well as hard as it will be to say good bye I guess we all knew it would happen eventually. It is a great show and im glad it has lasted as long as it has.
Gilmore Girls Rocks!!!!!

Like "vaso" basically stated in his/her comments, "they've done all they can with the story line". let's be realistic.....it's so true, it's the same stuff but with a slight twist each season....the lorelai character will NEVER commit to any one person because she is just so quirky, weird and flaky, which is why we love her so much. she sabotages every serious relationship that comes her way, from her parents to her love interests. we've watched rory grow up from a little girl in high school to a college graduate. lane, having twins.....where the heck did that story line come from and why did she have to get pregnant so soon? were the writers THAT hard up for new material? I will miss watching new episodes but will have every season on DVD. My fifteen year old daughter watches them over and over again and never seems to get bored. I've felt for a while now that the series was waning. With the series finale being the season finale, I doubt they will answer all the burning questions everyone has and maybe that's the way it should end, with us wondering what would have happened and making up our own happy (or not) endings. And who won't miss KIRK? he is my absolute favorite. I think it's time for Gilmore Girls to end and I loved the series as much as the next fan.

I am so upset! This was THE ONLY television show I looked forward to watching! I can't believe they can end it this way! I do feel cheated that I was dedicated to watching and it was a part of my daily routine and it's being shut off just like that! I LOVED THE GILMORE GIRLS! This is truly a big mistake on someones part! Pat in Indiana

OMG this really cant be happening. I'm so mad its almost over. Theres so many questions running through my head like
* will there be a luke and lor wedding?
*will rory last as long as her mom did with her engagment, or will she actually HAVE a wedding
*whats going on with Rory's career?
omg and theres still a billion more!
I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS

im so sad that this series is over...i am a diehard fan that has seen every single episode-they can't possibly rap it all up in two shows!! A short eigth season is absolutely essential to satisfy true GG fans. Get rid of some of the other stupid shows on TV but end this one right with an eighth season!

OMG I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!!
ITS GONE THATS IT???? AFTER ALL MY YEARS AS A DEDICATED FAN THATS ALL 2 MORE EPISODES TO FINISH OFF LORLEI, LUKE ,LOGAN , RORY , PARIS,LANE ,CHRIS, ZACK, KERK , BABET, PATTY , TAILOR, THE TOWN THATS HOW THEIR LIVES ARE GONNA END .
I KNOW ITS A SHOW BUT THE CHARACTRES CAME TO LIFE AND SO THIS IS HOW IT ENDS.... I MIGHT NOT WANT TO WATCH THE CW ANYMORE CAUSE ALL THEIR SHOWS ECEPT REBA GET PROPER GOODBYES... EXAMPLE LIKE WHEN 7TH HEAVEN ALMOST ENDED AND WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU STILL HAD POTENTIAL TO GO ON. GILMORE GIRLS IS JUST GOING TO BE LIKE 7TH HEAVEN AN INCOMPLETE ENDING WITH QUESTIONS STILL LEFT TO ANSWER &I HOPE SCINCE IT WAS SUCH A GOOD SHOW THAT IT HAS A GOOD FINALLY... I TRULY HOPE IT DOES, THIS EPISODE HAS TO STICK OUT MORE THAN THE REST.... IT SHOULD BE ABOUT 2 HOURS LONG TOP MODEL CAN WHY NOT GG.....???? I REALLY REALLY HOPE ITS THE ENDING THAT EVERYONE WILL BE SATISFIED WITH AND I HOPE ITS THE ENDING TO THE GIRLS THAT IT DESREVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SHOW SHOULD HAVE WENT ON FOR ANOTHER SEASON IN MY OPINION.... STILL HAD GOOD RATING FROM WHAT IVE READ AND IT STILL HAD LIFE........ GOOD BYE GG ......BOOOOO HOOOOO

I'm so disappointed that they are canceling such a great show. I think if the CW did not show so many reruns, they would have been able to hold more of the show's audience.
