Top Model: Heather Goes Home! Plus, Reasons We're Annoyed
So what'd you guys think? Because we were pretty annoyed after last night's Top Model episode. Like, screaming at our TV annoyed. Let us count the reasons (feel free to add to our list in the comments):
*Jenah's right that this show is becoming more of a personality contest than a modeling contest.
*The go-see challenge makes no sense. If it were REALLY about the clothes and the impressions the models make, they'd be dropped off at the door of their go-sees. Why does the fact that Heather can't handle directions and Jenah and Chantal can't account for the madness of Shanghai traffic mean that they're disqualified? We've seen how real models behave (Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell)... and they pretty much know they can get away with whatever they want (coke, phone-throwing) because they'll still get booked. But no, being ten minutes later in a challenge that's clearly set up for them to fail means they're obviously failures as models, too.
*Jenah's in the bottom two... for being too sarcastic? What, poor Nigel can't take a little personality on the side of his photo shoots? If this competition's about booting models who exhibit bitchy behavior, Bianca should have gone home. And yet she's called second... and her photo was TERRIBLE.
*Yeah, Heather got lost in Shanghai. And no, she can't deliver a line in a commercial to save her life. But her portfolio rocked. That doesn't seem to count for much on this show. We thought it was about modeling... apparently we were wrong.
*Are we the only ones who think Saliesha's totally fake? She can turn on the charm at the go-sees and at panel, but we're not buying what she's selling. Also, we still despise her hair. It's not getting any cuter.
*Bianca wasn't as detestable as she was last week, but we still don't think she deserved to be called second.
Okay, Top Model fans, tell us what you thought! Are we the only ones steamed about last night's episode (and in fact, this entire cycle)?
