Janine and I are a bit out of sorts in this Gossip Girl podcast, because Lindsey had temporarily abandoned us and fled the country...without taking us with her! We're flexible! We could have fit in the overhead bin! (OK, that's a lie, but it's nice to be asked...). It doesn't help that this episode is guaranteed to give any long-suffering journalist a fit of the vapors: New interns do not get hired to be the right-hand-person for the editor. And if it does happen, why didn't it happen to us?

No matter. Janine and I discuss Serena's schemes, Ben's probable duplicity, Dan's easy acquiescence, Eric's stunning stupidity, and Rufus' complete lack of parenting skills. Plus, what's the deal with the Blair/Chuck/Raina thing? Is Chuck playing Raina, and Blair is just helping him get his empire back? Or is Chuck actually falling for Raina, and Blair unwittingly helped her rival? Also, Nate's a man-whore, but that's hardly news. He does get a bit of character development when he reveals his favorite flick. And no, it wasn't what we thought. (Considering his bromance with Dan, we were thinking it would be a classic buddy comedy.)
