America's Next Top Model: Tyra Gets Fiercely Real

It’s no secret that our America's Next Top Model host and creator, Tyra Banks, is a trailblazer. But she’s now embarking on a new project we think is pretty cool.

New York Daily News is reporting that Tyra is cooking up another major scheme for an upcoming modeling competition and this time she’s looking for plus-sized teenagers.

Tyra revealed on her talk show that she’s calling for gals between the ages of 13 and 19 for her search. They must have a dress size of 12 to 20 and are between 5’9” and 6’1” tall (size 12 is considered plus size? uh…okay). Tyra’s goal is to change the way people perceive beauty and the way teens see themselves.

“I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty” Tyra says. “Through America’s Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show, I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty, and stressing that true beauty is both inside and out.”

Hey—we already respect short people more after Cycle 13! The winner of the competition will score a one-year modeling contract and a fashion spread in a top magazine (sound familiar?). The winner will be revealed on The Tyra Show on March 2nd.

If you are interested in registering for the contest, head to Tyra’s Web site.

America's Next Top Model: Yes, We Are Outstanding, Thanks For Noticing

Looks like Tyra and America's Next Top Model are hotter than ever! Fans around the world are itching for Cycle 14 to kick off, the cast and crew are engulfed in a media frenzy Down Under and now the show has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award!

According to Buddy TV the show has been given a nod in the "Outstanding Reality Series." The competition is ruthless, however, with the American Idol 8 (EEKS!), Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Real Housewives of Atlanta also in the running in that category.

But what ANTM has going for it that the others don’t, is the fact that one of the show’s former contestants is also up for an award. Cycle 3 winner, Eva Marcille, who now appears on the daytime soap, The Young and the Restless, is nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.”

Don’t miss the 41st NAACP Image Awards on February 26th.

America's Next Top Model: ANTM Cast & Crew Bombarded By NZ Media

The contestants of America's Next Top Model Cycle 14 are certainly getting a taste of the real life of a top model as they are continually hounded, pestered and overrun by media in New Zealand. In fact, in order to conceal their identities they have been forced to wear hats and glasses and hide under umbrellas so that the final outcome of the Cycle won’t be revealed.

They hunt models, don’t they?
While Tyra and the mummified contestants head for the hills (literally, they were spotted lunching on top of Mt. Eden), other cast members greeted the eager camera crew from The New Zealand Herald with open arms and big smiles. Both J. Alexander and Jay Manuel were accosted at Auckland International Airport but were cordial as ever, even as they were getting their luggage knocked off the trolley by the frenzied media types.

Sweet digs!
One coup that the NZ Herald managed to pull off was to discover where the models are staying while they are in Auckland. It’s a cozy little penthouse suite on the North Shore in a place they call Sentinel Apartments. The poor dears will have to make due in the $11 million hovel which includes a lap pool and spa pool, gas fireplace and home movie theater!

America's Next Top Model: Nigel's In Awe Filming Cycle 14 Down Under

Now that the word is out on the typically secret international destination for America's Next Top Model Cycle 14, everyone is weighing in on just how cool the place is.

Buddy TV is reporting that delicious ANTM judge Nigel Barker even did an interview with the New Zealand Herald, discussing their stay. At first the photographer was uncertain how the visit would go in a place that’s mostly popular for hobbits and sheep. The contestants screamed when they found out they were headed to New Zealand (but let’s face it, those girls scream about EVERYTHING). Any misgivings were forgotten once the cast got off the plane and were greeted by the legions of fans who had apparently been waiting since the crack of dawn to see them. Once again, Tyra had made the right choice.

A lovely location for hobbits...and models
Aside from NZ’s massive Top Model fan base, there’s the spectacle of the countryside. Nigel points out that the light strikes the country on a different type of angle making it appear “other-worldly.” They’ve had to really try hard not to make the ANTM visit appear like a tourist commercial but it’s been difficult with all of the cameramen constantly “ooh-ing and ah-ing” about what they are shooting.

What do you think? New Zealand is an unusual location but perhaps that is why Tyra and company selected it. What do you think of the location and what other countries would you like the show to visit in the future so we can visit vicariously? Tell us in the comments!

America's Next Top Model: ANTM Goes Vogue, Literally!

The empty judges' seat has been filled for Cycle 14 of America's Next Top Model and this time around it’s not a top model from the "real world."

In the past we’ve seen a few famed runway models on the judges’ panel. But TV Guide has confirmed that the new ANTM power monger…uh…judge…is one André Leon Talley, Vogue magazine’s editor-at-large. A front-row regular at fashion shows all around the globe, André could make the perfect judge. He mentors models and fashion designers and in 2008 even advised the future first family on fashion.

Yes, but can he cha-cha like Paulina Poriskova? That remains to be seen, though we do look forward to what André will bring to the judges' table. And we especially look forward to how he and Miss J Alexander will interact. Should be entertaining!

There was initially a rumor swirling that André would replace Miss J but Buddy TV put an end to that ridiculousness. As if anyone could replace Miss J! Our Buddy also squelched a rumor that Kimora Lee Simmons would be a guest judge during Cycle 14—which is good because we really want to keep watching the show.

America's Next Top Model: Laura's Sweet Manhattan Digs

A couple of weeks ago we reported that America's Next Top Model Cycle 13 runner-up, Laura Kirkpatrick won "fan favorite" While everyone really wants to win the top prize, we're learning that fan favorite is almost as good.

Rented Spaces is reporting that the former Kentucky-bred bull castrator is now calling a coveted pre-war building at 240 Central Park South home. Laura’s neighbors in the hipster building are young and up-and-coming and include such luminaries as Renee Zellweger. A typical studio in the theatre district building is about $2,500 a month and our Laura will be hanging there for a full six months! We’re no math wiz but that’s a pretty sweet deal.

With Laura’s sparkling personality and drop-dead looks, we have a feeling that she’ll do really well in the next six months -- hopefully so well that she’ll be able to stay in the building after the six months is up because she’ll be making fat bank. Who knows where this will take her!

What do you think about Laura’s new living situation? Do you think that she’ll be able to make the most of her time in NYC? Do you think that winning fan favorite is just as good as taking the top ANTM prize? Tell us here in the comments!

America's Next Top Model: Cycle 13 Model Spotted with Robert Pattison

Okay, so now that we've got your attention: We have to come clean with a very cute America's Next Top Model winner's story for the ages.

E! Online is reporting that our painfully shy ANTM Cycle 13 champ, Nicole Fox, was recently making an appearance on Regis & Kelly (where she was, no doubt, already a bundle of nerves due to her fear of public speaking) when she stepped out of a backstage bathroom and right into the path of the hottest undead guy around -- Robert Pattison!

Here's the capper...she didn’t even really recognize R Pattz. Well, in her own, adorably dorky way she kind of did. Nicole had recently helped a friend draw a larger-than-life portrait of the hunky vamp on her Halloween T-shirt—so she recognized the hair…she had drawn it before.

Unfortunately, the shy stunner looked down at her shoes and strolled right on past ol’ Patty without as much as a word.

We're speechless.

What do you think? Should Nicole have approached the hottest guy in Hollywood or was it classier for her to walk by without pestering him? What advice would you give Nicole? Tell us in the comments!

America's Next Top Model: International Destination for Cycle 14 Revealed!

Typically, the Powers That Be at America's Next Top Model like to keep each Cycle under tight wraps during the tender time that the shooting is taking place. In fact, participants sign a strict confidentiality agreement just to be sure none of the information is leaked.

So color us shocked to find out that news about the international destination for Cycle 14 has been circulating online! Buddy TV is reporting that fashion blabbermouth blogger Isaac Hindin Miller spilled that the Cycle 14 models were shooting a runway challenge, together with some local models, down under in New Zealand!

Not to be shown up, Tyra posted the information on Twitter, “Rumors are true & UR 1st to know. Top Model is goin' to NEW ZEALAND for cycle 14! Can’t wait to get there. Are y'all excited for next cycle?”

Uh...heck ya!

Cycle 13 saw the models hit Hawaii (not officially, an international destination) so NZ is definitely a big change. If down under seems like a strange destination, it is, but they do have their own fashion week and their seasons are flipped so when we are in winter they are enjoying summer.

So what do you think about the gals heading down to New Zealand next Cycle? Do you think it’s an appropriate place for high fashion to take place? Tell us in the comments!

America's Next Top Model: The Miss Congeniality Award Goes To...

Pretty Nicole Fox may have won America's Next Top Model honors for Cycle 13, but don't count popular little Laura Kirkpatrick out. While Nicole did come around, personality wise, her low-key attitude and stoner-like persona didn't win any fans in the house in the beginning. But Laura was a different story. And now the adorable, cow-castrating country gal has scored the coveted prize from Tyra, the title of "Fan Favorite."

Buddy TV is reporting that it was announced that the Kentucky native won the equivalency of Miss Congeniality on Tyra's show. As the Fan Favorite, Laura scores six months of free rent in a New York City apartment, something that will certainly help her pursue her dream of becoming a model. She's always wanted to model for Victoria Secret. After the way that girl impressed the judges and the fans, we have no doubt that she'll take NYC by storm.

Good luck Laura!

America's Next Top Model: Laura or Nicole? It's Anybody's Game

Cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model started with 14 hopeful girls and it’s come down to just two who are still in the running. But as we’ve seen in the past, being in the final two can be all kinds of pressure!

Easy, breezy, beautiful—Covergirl
Laura and Nicole get the scripts for their Covergirl commercial shoot. Cycle 12 winner, Teyona, even shows up for a little pre-shoot pep talk, but after her disastrous shoot last cycle they’d be better off asking her what NOT to do.

The girls both end up taking several takes and both struggle a bit—Laura with her dyslexia and Nicole with her lack of personality.

A couple of Tyra one-on-ones
Things are so tight in this competition that Tyra pays a visit to talk to the two finalists one-on-one. Not sure what she learned but it was really sweet. They’ve both come a long way.

Run, don’t walk from the catwalk
It’s down to the wire and for their fashion show, Laura and Nicole are stomping it out for the big prize. And for the first time in ANTM history, the PTB bring back some eliminated models so the finalists are joined by some familiar and somewhat friendly faces, including Erin, Brittany, Sundai, Jennifer. The night of the fashion show the house is packed and it’s filled with luminaries such as Eddie Murphy. But Jay reminds the girls not to be nervous. Each walk represents an element with wind proving to be pretty difficult as the girls walk out with what Laura describes as a quilt over their faces. And then for the finale they all get drenched in water. But they're pros at this point and it all ends up looking great.

The final pesky panel
It’s so close that we really have no idea who is going to win. Both girls are beautiful, inside and out. They both photograph well and they both “want it” badly. We’re thinking that the judges must have deliberated longer than usual because the decision must have been tough. We think that they would have chosen both if they could, but in the end it's Nicole who is selected as America's Next Top Model. And she's whisked off immediately for her photo shoot with Tyra.

Opening up the behind-the-scenes vault
After the finale we’re treated to a behind-the-scenes look at Cycle 13. We forgot about Courtney, the girl with her foot in the cast and cranky Bianca. We’re reminded of the makeovers and the heinous bleaching of the eyebrows. We’re sad that we never saw some of the footage, including the games the girls played to occupy their time and Roger the cat. We think they should extend the Cycles by a couple eppys so we can fit in more fun stuff!

Great ANTM quotes
“Oh, man. I’d rather have actual boogers in my nose than sound snotty.” Nicole

“If we have to, cut her out of that dress!” Jay, during the show

“You have proved that it’s irrelevant how tall you are. You guys have what it takes.” Nigel

“Thjs is the first day of the rest of your life.” Tyra to Nicole when she wins ANTM

“I’m a dork and I’m America’s Next Top Model.” Nicole, after she wins ANTM

Cycle 13 rocked
The "petite" models who were featured in Cycle 13 really did themselves proud and we're hoping we'll see (most of) them gracing covers of magazines and hitting the runways as they stretch their talents and push the envelope for aspiring short models everywhere.

Some of the girls, especially those in the final six, showed real promise. Which models do you see going on and being successful in the business? Tell us here in the comments.

America's Next Top Model: Maui Wowie, It's a Twofer!

After the last brutal panel, the remaining contestants take a moment in the limo to reflect on their chances of becoming America's Next Top Model now that it's down to just the final four. After being in the bottom two for the past three weeks, Erin hangs in the competition by the skin of her teeth. Jennifer just had best photo so she's feeling good. Nicole feels more confident than ever and Laura's just happy that she's not castrating bulls.

Some heinous hip hop hula
For the challenge this week the girls have to learn a hip hop hula routine. The scariest part -- they have four eight counts to tell their personal story with hula moves. Each girl must perform with the hula dancers and then bust out her solo in the middle of it. Erin used to be a cheerleader so she's pretty confident but there are others who are...well, awkward.

The prize this time around is that the girl who wins gets to return to the island with a friend for a five night all-expense-paid trip at the Four Seasons. Heck, we'll get up and hip hop the heck out of the hula for that prize! Miss J shows up to judge the competition and Nicole is so hard to watch that he feels compelled to get up after her performance and imitate it. While Jennifer and Erin were pretty good, Laura brought the booty. She could crunk with the best of 'em. And she chooses Jen to join her on her return trip to Maui.

America's Next Top Model: Sundai Bloody Sundai

There's all kinds of danger this week on America's Next Top Model and only the strong will survive as the girls continue to get to know the lay of the land in Hawaii.

Laura turns 20 and gets some Spam
It's Laura’s birthday and she gets a birthday breakfast on the lanai. Good thing she's in a pretty place because her meal consists of scrambled eggs and Spam -- which is a very big deal on the Islands...and with rednecks. So it's like fusion...but different.

Cliff diving is fun...not!
The models get dropped off at a remote beach where supermodel Marisa Miller (who is only 5'8") shows up to give the rest of the shorties a lesson in how to be hot but not over the top. They strip down to their bikinis and go for it. Apparently, the key is push out the booty and don’t rub the boobs. We totally get that.

New modeling phrase, courtesy of Marisa Miller: Barbie toe.
Definition: A subtle twist of the pointed toe that visually extends the length of the leg -- like the way Barbie’s toes are all of the time, but they're plastic.

The girls get to put their Barbie toes to work at the photo shoot challenge. They get to jump from what appears to be about a 30-foot cliff into the raging sea below looking sexy and not at all scared. The idea is to try not to die and take a good photo at the same time. And they get one shot. The winner gets a $5,000 pearl necklace and twice as many frames at the next photo shoot. She then gets to pick a friend who also gets twice as many frames until they are down to one who gets only the regular amount of frames. Nicole wins the challenge and picks Sundai who picks Laura who picks Jennifer and because she is 18 and a kind of annoying, Erin is left without as many frames as the rest.

America's Next Top Model: Mini Surf Divas Hit The Islands

Hazmat takes over at America's Next Top Model, where the living quarters are so nasty Tyra is compelled to condemn the place.

The house is so disgusting, it stands out above all of the other nasty houses left behind by the America’s Top Slobs before them. In the kitchen there are dirty dishes, utensils and pans strewn about, as well as rotting groceries and old coffee cups full of a beverage that was offered hot back at some point in July. There are ants in the bathroom and the closets are so nasty that Tyra tells them that they can’t live there anymore -- they must move to...Hawaii!

(Note: This was never our punishment for not cleaning our rooms. We feel cheated.)

Yes, the models are headed to the tropical islands of Hawaii!

The hateful, very wet, photo shoot challenge
As soon as the girls reach the islands they are subject to a hateful challenge. Buzzy Kerbox, a pioneer surfer and male model, wants to show them how to surf. Little do the little gals know but their short stature should help them be able to balance on their boards. We're gonna say -- not so much.

But this is no time for fun, it's about balance and poise and the models have one chance to snap a tandem photo with another surfer on the board. Hey! You try to look cute, balance and not crash into the coral reef all at one time.

When it came down to analyzing shot for shot, Erin was the top dog. She got the top surf dog of the day which meant that she got a helicopter ride around the island. Please, someone, let Erin win some wardrobe! But we digress -- it was a nice win for Erin, who brought along her buddies Brittany (who is totally annoyed by her at this point) and Nicole (who still seems like she is enjoying the bounty of the island's most infamous crop). When Erin expresses her disappointment that the prize wasn't a "tangible item" the girls who were left behind were disgusted.

America's Next Top Model: Motion Cameras Bring Out Serious Emotion

Lara (don't call me Laura!) Spencer, host of "The Insider," and Ant, comedian and host of "Celebrity Fit Club," give the girls a crash course in interviewing on America's Next Top Model. The most important lesson for the gals this time around is how to think on their feet...and still look good.

The girls are assigned to interview Ant, who plays all types of characters and the girls must interview him—no matter what he throws at them. It's good practice because then they are told that they will do a two minute interview with a real star—Jessica Lowndes from 90210.

Most cringe-worthy moment
The fun takes place when the director cuts out the teleprompter and the girls have to wing it. Jennifer does really well, and Sundai does too. But poor Laura just freezes...there's stinky, cold silence in the studio. The only utterance that escapes her mouth is a curse word. It could possibly be the longest two minutes of all of our lives.

Erin rocks it: she listened to the actress and was in control of the entire interview. She wins the challenge gets to be in a beauty story in Seventeen magazine -- and she gets to bring two friends, so she chooses Jennifer and Rae.

And now a word from our sponsor
Instead of a photo shoot this week, the girls are assigned to star in their own Cover Girl commercial, which they must also write. Teyona, ANTM Cycle 12 winner, shows up to give them advice. Thankfully, she told them what NOT to do, because her Cover Girl commercial last cycle was a bit of a disaster.

Jay walks all of the models through their script, but the director for the day is Nigel, and naturally, that makes the girls even more nervous. Eeks! A judge! Nigel's advice is "be yourself." Nicole started off shaky but pulled through. Jennifer was charming. Laura uses method acting and brought her personality to the shoot. Brittany was robotic. Rae's personality didn't come through. Erin was overconfident and lost it -- she even cried during her post-filming interview. It was a disaster.

America's Next Top Model: Haters Never Prosper

The models return to Wilhelmina, the scene of the crime on America's Next Top Model this week. They're understandably nervous as the pres of Wilhelmina, Sean Patterson, booted one of them straight away there early in the season -- simply because he felt that "she didn’t have it."

But things look up when Sean announces that they are there to experience a day in the life of a working model -- they are there for the go-sees! Not only will the gals be seeing modeling agencies, but they'll also be visiting an ad agency so they can read for their casting directors. They must do all five go-sees but must be back promptly by 4 p.m. Two bits of bad news -- they get cars but must navigate by maps and they have to travel in teams of two: Jennifer and Erin, Brittany and Kara, Sundai and Rae, and Nicole and Laura.

Go-see gaffs
Kara shows up at Neil Lane jewelers and doesn't have pierced ears. She's out! Sundai and Rae, also out. But he did think that Brittany was glamorous and would use her for a campaign. Erin was too nervous at Rozae Nichols but if she worked on her confidence she'd get hired. Jennifer was wearing too much makeup and wouldn't get the job. WongDoody is the ad agency and the girls read for on-air promotion for a hot new TV show. In some crazy mixed up backwards world the casting folks adore Nicole and don't like Laura at all. It's awkward. Several clients even thought that Kara looked greasy and shaggy! Oh the horror!

After a long day everyone gets back on time except for Sundai and Rae, who were 15 minutes late! Sean won't even deal with them and he banishes them to the lobby.

The winner gets to appear in a nationally televised commercial and a piece from each of the designers that they saw. Finally! Can they all get some clothing? But alas, there can only be one winner and it's Nicole. Maybe she can loan Sundai and Laura some new garb...but somehow, we doubt she will.

We were bummed that they didn't share which girls would have been hired at which agencies. We have our own opinion but we'd like solid facts to go by here!

There's more after the jump - read on!

America's Next Top Model: You Can Dance, For Inspiration

Nine girls remain on America's Next Top Model and this week it's all about dancing. Now that they know how to smize, Tyra wants the contestants to learn to smize without their eyes. So the girls head out to a dance studio where they meet up with Lil Mama, Benny Ninja and the Jabbawockeez dance crew, who bust out the moves and show the girls how to express emotion without the advantage of a face.

Gotta dance
The challenge this week involves the models choreographing and then performing in groups of threes. They must wear masks and bring out the emotions of happiness, sadness and anger with their movement alone. And they have to perform after the Jabbawockeez dancers. Slightly intimidating. The winning team gets $17,000 in jewels. It's a good start but seriously, these girls need some new clothing.

When it comes to dancing, Martha Graham they ain't
Everyone figured that Ashley's team would rock the competition because she's the yadda yadda dancer in the group, but her group's performance ends up being confusing and downright weird. As it turns out, Jennifer, Kara and Rae had the best body expression according to the judges so the jewels go to them!

If it's time to relax it's time to whine
Naturally, Ashley is bitter, but she's always bitter after a challenge. But instead of wallowing, she calls her moms, and mom comes through with a great pep talk. Heck, we even got cheered up. And we enjoy cranky.

Meanwhile, Kara has become quite a complainer. She and Jennifer get catty about Nicole's "stoner voice." We adore quirky Nicole but we're starting to think that there's something a little more stoner to her than her voice. She forgets things really easily, she's somewhat antisocial and if we see her with the munchies anytime soon we'll know why.

4:30 a.m. is a time to milk cows, not model
The girls are pulled out of bed at the crack by a video message from Jay who tells them to pack their bags cuz they’re doing their next photo shoot in Vegas. They are surprised with a Cirque Du Soleil shoot where some of the gals were most likely hoping that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Once again they're working in groups. The girls must pose with a bunch of freak-of-nature performers from Mystère and with three other models. Some used the lessons they've learned in the last few weeks and some completely disregarded it all.

They should serve fierce juice at panel
Panel was a bit different this time around as all of the girls had to be judged in their group. Talk about stress! When it came to the final photos Jennifer, Ashley and Nicole brought down the shots. But because her fellow models were so strong, Jennifer was spared from the bottom two...this time. Rae, Laura and Sundai were the strongest, which isn't surprising at all. The three have been pretty solid throughout the competition. Karen and Ashley (the dancer!) ended up at the bottom two and in the end it was Ashley who had to sashay off into the sunset.

Great quotes—hilarity ensues

"I'm buck naked." Laura when Jay wakes the models out of bed at 4:30 in the morning

"The hair is amazing. The makeup is amazing. The outfits are amazing. The photographer is amazing. If anything goes wrong, I’m %#@*ing it up." Jennifer on her Cirque Du Soleil photo shoot

"I don't know what's up with her. I think she's taking some fierce juice." Tyra on Laura’s hot photos

America's Next Top Model: We Want to be Nigel's Wife When We Grow Up

Now that Lulu is gone gone, Ashley has no one to talk shiz with but the bitching continues anyway on America's Next Top Model. And of course we love it.

Fast face
Sam Fine gives the girls a "makeup" lesson so they can do their own faces in a pinch. Our takeaway was that you only need four products: concealer, bronzer, mascara and gloss. Thanks Sam!

Nigel and his wife are totally out of place at Walmart
The girls show up at Walmart parking lot where they meet Nigel and his gorgeous wife, Chrissy Barker (so many reasons to be jealous, so little time!). The couple tells the girls about their challenge -- the "One Stop Shop CoverGirl Challenge." They have to race through the store, to different departments where they will put their "look" together as if they were going to a go-see. The hitch -- there isn’t enough items for the amount of girls. So if you don't get an item at, say, shoes, you're out! The first three girls who make it to the finishing line will be judged by the delicious Barkers. The girl with the most perfect over-all look wins.

We don't think we even need to tell you that things got ugly. There was pushing and shoving and overall nastiness. Laura was one of the first ones eliminated and that was pretty surprising because she's always talking about Walmart. Sundai ends up winning and everyone hates Erin -- especially Ashley.

Beauty shot time
The girls show up for their photo shoot and Tyra announces that she will be behind the camera. This week there's a twist. The best photo of the shoot will be announced on the spot and that model will be safe from eliminated this week.

Modeling H2T
As usual, the contestants absolutely love shooting with Tyra. And we've got to hand it to the supermodel, she really brings out the best each of the girls and we get fun sayings like "...you always model head to toe, H2T," "...she's counting on the DNA" and
"Don’t forget to smize." Brittany got best photo of the shoot and at least Erin can rest easy -- all of the girls hate Brit again. Not only is she not going to be eliminated this week, but she gets to do a photo shoot for tyrabanks.com with a couple of hot male models. The others were forced to watch, shooting little pretend daggers from their eyes the entire time.

The Seriously? Award goes to…
For some reason just about every contestant in Cycle 13 can't seem to dress herself. Maybe we're just missing our fashionistas from last Cycle, but these girls are terrible. The producers should throw in some challenges where the prizes are a wardrobe update because it's hard to watch. At least Bianca looked hot.

Great quotes—hilarity ensues

"Havin' a one-one-one make up lesson with Sam Fine is awesome. All girls need to know basics to make up and everything. It was really enjoyment." Laura

"Obviously a lot of the girls don't know how races work. Races don’t have manners." Erin

"Ashley, what remnant bin were you rummaging through?" Miss J on Ashley’s outfit at panel

"Bring out the fried chicken, Laura is here." Tyra

Time to go
It seems like it's been coming for awhile, as Bianca has been on the bottom two three times. She was doing better and getting softer, but for some reason, Bianca can't translate that softness to the camera. It's too bad, because she has a unique look. Ashley joined her but was saved -- wonder if she'll continue to talk badly about the other girls or if SHE'LL soften up now.

Tyra told Ashley that she was the hardest model to shoot and yet she remains in the running while Bianca was improving and was sent home. Did the judges choose the right girl to eliminate this week? Tell us here!

America's Next Top Model: If You Don't Walk Tall You'll Come Up Short

It was all about how to walk the walk in America's Next Top Model. The girls arrive at The Conga Room where Miss J and Mini Miss J walk the red carpet to show them how they should be struttin' their stuff. Mini Miss J (her "real" name is Diva Davanna) is all of 9 years old and gives us the creeps in the way that little beauty pageant girls do. Except she doesn't smile...ever. But she's there to prove a point -- shorties can walk the runway. Thankfully she didn't stay long. We're so thankful for child labor laws.

For their first fashion show the girls head to Malibu where they model with a bunch of tall chicks and the winner of the challenge gets to be in an advertorial for Seventeen magazine. They all seemed to do really well, but the judges' overwhelming pick was Brittany. She got to select two friends to be in the shoot with her and she chose Laura and Kara. The girls did a prom dress shoot for Seventeen and it was adorable!

The real demon in the house?
While Bianca has been pegged as the evil gal of Cycle 13, we think there may be another ugly personality lurking -- Ashley. She seems to be talking smack about anyone to anyone who will listen. Then, when she spots Bianca at a low moment, she taunts her. Not cool.

But no one seems to like drama and back-stabbing like Lulu.

America's Next Top Model: Your Modeling Career Will Be Short If You Don't Measure Up

Episode two of America's Next Top Model started off with a serious bang! The girls are shipped off to Wilhelmina Models where they meet the dashing Nigel Barker who introduced them to the president of Wilhemina, Sean Patterson, who met with each and every one of them. They were all evaluated and not only did someone not win (as we all figured would be the deal) someone lost. And she lost big. When Nigel and Sean were interviewing the girls they noticed that there was someone in the group who just really didn't have what it takes. So rather than announcing a winner, they announced a loser who would have to leave the competition...immediately. She may have Bambi eyes but she didn't show the boys any personality so Rachel was asked to leave. Does anyone need a reminder that the industry that these girls are attempting to break into is a very harsh industry?

Super Smeyes?
After talking about smiling with your eyes for so many cycles, Tyra is finally giving an actual smiling-with-your-eyes lesson. It's got a name -- "smeyes" -- and now the girls had a competition -- a smeyes-off, with the models going bizarrely-covered head-the-head. The winning girls get a dinner at Tyra's favorite restaurant, The Bazaar, where they will dine and get some serious one-on-one time with Sean Patterson from Wilheminia. The losers get to do the dishes at Tyra's favorite restaurant.

There's lots more after the jump!
