Happy 26th birthday to Allison Mack, the woman who brings us the incomparable Chloe Sullivan. Chloe is sweet, smart, sexy and the best sidekick a budding superhero could ever wish for. She’s one of our favorite characters on The CW!
Chloe has grown a lot in the seven seasons Smallville has been on the air. She started off as a curious reporter with a Wall of Weird that kept tabs on all the strange stuff that went on in Smallville. She was driven to figure out just what was going on in town, even though that sometimes pissed off her friend (and unrequited crush) Clark Kent. Now, she knows Clark’s secret – and help keep it safe. She’s also willing to go up against supervillains, the Luthors, meteor freaks, the government… anyone who gets in the way of the truth or threatens her friends.
We’ve loved watching Chloe blossom as she fell in love with Jimmy, landed her first job at the Daily Planet, and discovered her own meteor powers. It’s a tribute to Allison’s skill that no matter what happens to Chloe, we still want to see more.

They're hugely popular stars with passionate fans. And this year, Jared Padalecki and Allison Mack felt the love with a Teen Choice nomination and a win, respectively. Jared was up for Choice TV Actor, Drama, and Allison won for Choice TV Sidekick. Recently, Jared and Allison opened up about Teen Choice to Jason C. on Supernatural and Smallville sets in Vancouver.

Yesterday was Smallville regular Allison Mack's 25th birthday. Allison, we wish you a lovely belated birthday. Hopefully you did something wonderful on your special day.
The folks over at her official site have donated $4,000 to her foundation so far. Allison-Mack.com also encourages fans to make a donation to Make-A-Wish in lieu of a traditional birthday gift.
How did you honor Ms. Mack?
Online teen mag Portrait magazine polled its readers to find out which stars under 30 deserved the most praise, and several CW stars made the list.
Alexis Bledel came in at number 20, and the magazine got her to speculate on what’s next for her after Gilmore Girls. “I write a lot, too, so I would like to write or direct in the future if I can,….I always thought that I would work behind the camera – it’s a more comfortable place for me to be, really.” Innnnteresting.
Smallville’s Allison Mack hit the list at number 10 – and Portrait pointed us to her travel log at www.allisonmack.com. Good stuff.
The cast of Veronica Mars was listed as The Critics’ Favorites at number 6 – if only the show had gotten the rating both critics and fans think it deserved. The magazine has a list of all the projects the cast is working on post-Veronica, so at least we’ll be able to see our favorites soon. We knew about Tina Majorino in Big Love, Chris Lowell’s turn on Private Practice, Kristen and Enrico’s upcoming movie roles, and Jason Dohring’s new part on Moonlight, but we hadn’t heard about Percy Daggs III’s role in “American Son,” or that Ryan Hansen would be appearing in “Sherman’s Way with Enrico, or that Julie Gonzalo was working on both Spanish-language and English films, along with producing another movie. Plus, Chris has a movie in the works and Tina is in the band The AM Project. Whew!
Finally, Portrait pays tribute to two of your favorite shows: One Tree Hill (number 3 on the list) and Supernatural (number 2). Check out the whole list!
