Here are a few Washington events of note for Thursday, September 18.
The Senate Banking Committee is holding a hearing on recent bank failures and the regulatory responses.
The House Natural Resources Copmmittee is discussing a recent Interior Department inspector general's report on illicit, unethical behavior at the agency.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is speaking on U.S.-Russia relations.
