Good morning.
Here are a few Washington events of note for Wednesday, October 1.
The Senate is expected to vote on the $700 billion Wall Street bailout plan.
Gen. David McKiernan, commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, is discussing the situation there at a news conference.
Immigration officials are announcing the results of a nationwide multi-agency gang operation that resulted in more than 1,700 arrests.
