I wanted to let everyone back home know that we put Tom on the plane this morning and he should be on his way to India. Tom was a great guest and Tom was one reporter that was actually interested in US and very interested in getting our story back to all of our family and friends back home. He had some very long and hard hours but there wasn't one minute where Tom complained or said anything, Tom, we will take you anytime. All of the Soldiers here appreciated you taking time away from WGN and your beautiful wife to come here and spend it with us and to get OUR story (Tom always talked about how beautiful his wife was), thank you very much for your time and graciousness.I would also like to thank WGN for supporting Tom and knowing the importance of covering our story in regards to the historic signifigance of this deployment for the state of Illinois and for showing others back home the sacrifices that our families are making while we are here in Afghanistan. We made Tom an honorary 1st SGT so if he comes back barking orders, you can blame us. Thank you very much Tom and WGN, it was great to work with all of you and look forward to working with you in the future.

And to "mother of two"- we spent a couple of days at FOB Ghazni with Generals Huber and Wisniewski, and talked to a lot of local guys there, so hopefully one of your sons is on my tapes somewhere. Tried to get to Jalalabad, but ran out of time. Best wishes to both of your boys and many thanks to you.
thanks for the great videos and using this pic of phill wire on top of a mt. with a american flag. have the same one hanging up in the wall. phills my brother in-law. also for reporting what realy happens and what all the man and woman are doing over there.
