Game Notes For Tuesday @ Minnesota

* While these teams have split 20 games since the start of 2007 (10-10), Minnesota holds a 127-100 edge in runs scored, averaging over six runs per game against the Sox. * The Twins have been shut out four times so far this season – tied (Tigers, Nationals) for the most in the majors. * After allowing 17 runs in their first two road games this season, the White Sox pitching staff has an ERA of just 2.24 away from home since April 3 – the lowest in the American League (Arizona 2.14). * Joe Mauer’s current 10-game hit streak is tied for the second longest of his career, trailing only an 11-game streak in May/June of 2006. * Carlos Quentin is the only American League player this season to have at least 20 runs and 20 RBI. * Jim Thome has hit six home runs in his last eight games against the Twins.
