Game Notes For Thursday vs. A's

* These teams will be meeting for the third time this season after splitting two games in April against each other. The White Sox have won six of their last eight home games against Oakland. * The White Sox have won 18 of their last 20 home games, including nine in a row. Chicago hasn’t won 10 in a row at home since April 15-May 4, 2006. * Oakland has lost four of its last five games. * Justin Duchscherer is 3-1 with a 1.17 ERA in his last four starts, allowing exactly one run in each of those starts. Duchscherer is 3-1 with a 2.76 ERA in 13 career appearances against the White Sox (all were in relief). * Javier Vazquez is 3-0 in his last four home starts and is 1-2 with a 6.60 ERA in five career starts against the A's. * Jermaine Dye is hitting .423 (11-for-26) with two doubles, four homers and 13 RBI over his last seven home games. Dye is 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBI in his career against Justin Duchscherer. * The A’s starters have the best ERA in the majors this season (3.45) while the White Sox have the third-best (3.69).
