Game Notes For Wednesday

* Chicago’s 108-66 win over Miami on Tuesday was the Bulls’ largest win ever on opening night, eclipsing its previous best, a 20-point (110-90) win over the 76ers in the 1991-92 opener. * The Bulls, who were second in the league in bench points per game last season (38.8), outscored Miami’s reserves 55-12 on Tuesday. * Kirk Hinrich averaged 20.0 points per game against the Magic last season, despite shooting just 20% (3-for-15) from behind the 3-point line in those contests. * Chicago was 13-9 in the second of back-to-back games last season (third best in NBA). * Orlando has won five of its last six season openers, although the lone loss came last season. * Dwight Howard finished second in the NBA in rebounds per game last season (12.5). That is the third highest average in team history, topped only by Shaquille O’Neal in 1992-93 (13.9) and O’Neal again in 1993-94 (13.2). * The Magic finished last season very well, winning 12 of their last 15 games. * Jameer Nelson started 33 games for the Magic last season, averaging 16.0 points and 5.8 assists in those contests
