* Boston won the earlier meeting between the teams, 92-81 in Chicago on December 8. The Bulls had won eight straight against the Celtics heading into this season.
* The Celtics are coming off their first home loss of the season Wednesday against the Pistons. Boston is 2-0 following a loss this season, winning those contests by a combined 68 points.
* Chicago has won seven of its last 11 contests and is looking to win back-to-back games for just the third time this season.
* Luol Deng has scored at least 20 points in each of his last three games, averaging 25.0 points in those contests. Deng has been held below 20 points in each of his last five games against the Celtics.
* Kevin Garnett has 26 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday’s loss to the Pistons. Garnett had gone 10 straight games without recording a double-double heading into that contest.
