Game Notes For Wednesday @ Nets

* These teams faced each other in their first game of the season, with New Jersey emerging with a 112-103 overtime victory. The win pushed the Nets’ record to 18-5 versus Chicago since the 2001-02 season.
* The Bulls are looking to win their second straight game for the first time since late December. They have yet to win three in a row this season.
* The Nets begin their “post-Jason Kidd era”. Since Kidd joined New Jersey in 2001-02, the Nets were 292-214 when he played, as opposed to 11-28 when he didn’t.
* Ben Gordon could return from his wrist injury on Wednesday. If he does, the Bulls will regain the player with the league’s highest free-throw percentage in the fourth quarter (.947, minimum 25 FTA).
* Luol Deng has posted double-doubles in each of his last three games against the Nets, when he’s averaged 20.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game.
* Sean Williams has hit 19 of 24 shots (.792) in his last four games. He’s also blocked at least two shots in each of those contests.
