Game Notes For Wednesday @ Hornets

* This series is tied at six games apiece since the 2003-04 season. New Orleans won both meetings in 2007-08. * Chicago’s loss at Houston on Tuesday snapped a three-game Bulls winning streak. This will be the sixth game of a seven-game road trip that has seen the Bulls go 3-2 so far. * The Hornets have lost three in a row, their longest losing streak of the season. They have not dropped four straight since a six-game skid in March 2007. * Ben Gordon is averaging 20.1 points per game against the Hornets in his career. His 51.6% field-goal percentage against New Orleans is his highest versus any opponent, while his 52.6% three-point percentage is his second highest against any team (Washington, 57.3%). * Although an MRI revealed only a mild groin strain, Chris Paul is expected to miss Wednesday’s game. He might return on Friday, but the Hornets could keep him out of action until next week as a precaution. * The Hornets are 21-7 this season when David West hits at least 40.0% of his field-goal attempts, as opposed to 3-9 when he fails to reach that mark.
