* The Bulls defeated New Jersey twice in December, extending their winning streak to three games over the Nets. That’s Chicago’s longest winning streak in the series since a seven-gamer ended in April 1999.
* Chicago beat Orlando on Tuesday to improve to 8-4 since January 28. The Bulls are 8-7 when playing on no days rest in 2008-09, already winning more games in such situations than they did all of last season (7-13).
* The Nets ended their five-game losing streak when Devin Harris hit his remarkable half-court shot at the buzzer on Monday. New Jersey overcame a 12-point deficit in the victory over Philadelphia.
* One game after matching a season low with three points while going 1-for-9 from the field, Derrick Rose hit 11 of 20 shots and led the Bulls with 22 points on Tuesday.
* Devin Harris’ three-point heave was the culmination of a 39-point effort on Monday. The Nets are now 9-1 when Harris scores at least 29 points this season, as opposed to 15-26 when he plays and scores 28 or less.
* Since joining the Nets in 2004, Vince Carter has averaged 27.7 points in 15 games versus Chicago, his highest rate against any opponent. He’s also averaged 7.1 rebounds per game against the Bulls as a Net, his second-best rate versus any team (7.4 vs. Philadelphia).
* The Heat have won each of their last three games against the Bulls, including both meetings between the clubs this season.
* The Bulls have been outscored 104.5 to 90.0 during their current four game road losing streak and are 10-23 overall away from home on the season.
* Miami has won four of its last five home games, however, three of its four wins in that span have come by six points or less.
* Dwyane Wade is averaging 36.4 points and 10.8 assists in his last eight games and has scored at least 24 points in each of his last five meetings with Chicago. Wade is averaging 19.5 points in his career against Chicago which is the lowest scoring average of his career against any opponent.
* Derrick Rose ranks second among rookies this season in scoring (16.6 ppg) and first in assists (6.3 apg). Rose is averaging just 8.8 points and shooting 30.8 percent from the field over his last four road games.
