Bulls Game Notes For Monday @ Washington

* The Bulls have won each of their last six games against the Wizards, limiting them to just 80.5 points per game in that span. Chicago defeated Washington 78-64 in the first matchup between these clubs this season.

* The Wizards have won two of their last three contests after winning just two of their first 17 games to open the season.

* The Bulls have lost two of their last three games after losing just two of their previous 17 contests. Four of Chicago's five losses this season have come on the road.

* Derrick Rose has scored exactly 34 points in each of his last two games and is averaging 25.1 points in his last seven games against Washington.

* Andray Blatche is four points shy of 4000 for his career. Blatche has scored 10+ points in five of his last six home games against the Bulls.

* Washington is averaging the second-most fast break points in the NBA this season (19.6).

* Chicago is holding opponents to 78.9 points per game at the United Center this season, tops in the NBA for a defense at home.

* The Bucks, who have won three consecutive road games for the first time since the final three road games of the 2009-10 season, have not won four straight road games since a 6-game road win streak February 5-27, 2010.

Bulls Game Notes For Wednesday vs. Pacers

* Including the playoffs, the Bulls have won nine consecutive home games against the Pacers by an average margin of 12.8 points per contest.

* Chicago is the only team remaining which hasn't lost a home game this season (8-0). Dating back to last season, the Bulls have won 12 straight games on their home floor. The Bulls have allowed just 76.9 points per game at home this season.

* The Pacers have allowed more than 96 points just once away from home this season.

* The Pacers are shooting 45.2 percent from three-point range in their wins this season, compared to just 25.4 percent in their losses.

* Richard Hamilton is coming off a 10-assist performance against the Nets Monday night - his first double-digit assist game since also dishing out 10 assists against the Grizzlies on January 27, 2010.

* Danny Granger has scored at least 19 points in each of his last 13 games against the Bulls (including the postseason).

Hello to all of my Peeps out there reading tonight's Blog. The Injury Bug has bitten the Bulls again. Derrick should start tonight after missing four games with a left toe sprain. Luol will not play with a sprained wrist. Joakim Noah will be a game-time decision. So far this season The Bulls have missed 26 player games due  to  Injury.

On the good side the Bulls have the best record in the NBA at 15-3. Dating back to last season the Bulls are 43-5 at the United Center, including a perfect 7-0 this season. Facing the Nets they have a dominating 54-18 record at the UC.

Bulls Game Notes For Monday vs. New Jersey

* The Bulls won three out of four games in this series last season, and are 7-1 in their last eight home games versus the Nets.

* Chicago is 7-0 at home this season, allowing just 74.3 points per game with a .382 opponent field-goal percentage.

* New Jersey will be looking for its first back-to-back wins of the season after Sunday's 97-87 defeat of the Bobcats. The Nets are playing the third game of their first back-to-back-to-back set of the season.

* MarShon Brooks had a team-high 20 points in yesterday's win. His 15.4 points per game for the season are second most among rookies, trailing only first overall pick Kyrie Irving (17.4).

* Derrick Rose is expected to return to action tonight after missing four straight games (five total) with a turf toe injury. The Bulls are 4-1 playing without Rose this season.

* Making his first career start in place of an injured Joakim Noah Saturday, Omer Asik pulled down 15 rebounds to go along with six points, three steals, and two blocks.

* The Bulls have beaten the Cavaliers five straight times.

* Chicago beat Phoenix on Tuesday, 118-97, to move to 13-3 (.813), which is the best mark in the Eastern Conference.

* The Cavaliers lost at home to the Warriors on Tuesday, 105-95, and have now alternated wins and losses over their last five contests. In fact, they have not won nor lost more than two games in a row this season.

* In his first seven NBA contests, Kyrie Irving averaged 14.1 points on 41.9 percent shooting from the floor; in his last six games, the rookie has upped those numbers to 21.8 and .548 (51-for-93), respectively.

* Antawn Jamison has posted double-doubles in eight of his last 12 games against the Bulls, averaging 22.3 points and 11.0 rebounds over that stretch.

* Carlos Boozer, who had a season-high 31 points on Tuesday, has recorded double-doubles in each of his last three games against Cleveland, the team with which he started his career.

Bulls Game Notes For Tuesday vs. Phoenix

* The Bulls have won five of their last six overall games against Phoenix. However, the Suns have won five of the last seven meetings in Chicago.

* The Suns have lost four straight and, at 4-8, are off to their worst start since losing their first 12 games in 1996-97.

* The Bulls are 3-1 over their last four games, averaging 82.3 points per game on 40.9 percent shooting while allowing 77.3 ppg on 40.4 percent shooting in these contests. Derrick Rose sat out the first and last of these games.

* Marcin Gortat has recorded a double-double in a career-high four straight games. He is averaging 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per game over this stretch, while shooting 60.3 (35/58) percent from the floor.

* Luol Deng is averaging 18.0 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting against Western Conference teams this season, as opposed to 12.9 ppg on 36.2 percent versus Eastern Conference foes.

* Carlos Boozer is shooting 61.5 (32/52) percent in the second quarter this season, but just 46.5  (59/127) percent during the rest of game. The 61.5 percent in the second quarter is the highest by any player with a minimum of 40 FGA in that quarter.

* The Bulls walloped Memphis on New Year's Day, 104-64. The 40-point win represents the largest margin of victory by any team this season.

* The Bulls have won their last 25 games when leading after the first quarter. No other team boasts an active streak longer than eight such games.

* With two consecutive victories, the Grizzlies are looking for their first three-game winning streak since last season. Memphis is shooting .471 on three-pointers over its past three games, after hitting just 20.0 percent of those shots in its first eight games of the season.

* With career averages of 20.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game versus Memphis, Carlos Boozer joins Tim Duncan as the only active "20-10" players against the Grizzlies (minimum 10 games).

* Ronnie Brewer is another player with a history of success versus Memphis. He's connected on 63.4 percent of his field-goal attempts against the Grizzlies, the highest mark ever by any player (minimum 100 FGA).

* With 11 rebounds on Saturday, Marc Gasol extended his string of double-digit performances to eight games, more than doubling his previous career high (three). It's the second-longest active streak in the league (Kevin Love, 12).

Hello to all of my Peeps out there. Welcome to the Bulls biggest challenge of the season playing 7 games in 9 days. So far Chicago has passed the test winning the first 4 games of the stretch. Tonight the Raptors visit the United Center to try and up-end the Bulls win streak. Toronto is also in a tretch of 7 games in 9 days. Last night Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 25 points in their 88-79 win over the Celtics in Boston. So much for needing time to get back in to form. We are nationwide tonight on WGN at 7pm. Watch the Bulls try and extend their home record to 5-0.

* Over the last eight games in this series, these two clubs have alternated two-game winning streaks, with the Bulls winning the last two at home. The Celtics have held serve seven of the last eight times the teams have met in Boston.

* The Bulls won their third straight on Wednesday, beating the Wizards, 78-64. It was the third time this season that the Bulls have held an opponent under 70 points. Chicago became the second team this season to win three games in three straight days, joining the Thunder (January 6-8). The last time the Bulls won three games in three days was January 22-24, 1981.

* The Celtics lost to the Mavericks on Wednesday, 90-85, to drop to 4-5 for the season. It is the first time that they are under .500 after the first nine games since 2006-07 (3-6).

* Ray Allen shot 3-for-8 in Boston's loss to Dallas on Wednesday, after making at least 50 percent of his field-goal attempts in each of his first seven games of the season. He falls one game shy of tying Dino Radja's franchise mark for consecutive games to start a season shooting 50+ percent - Radja doing so in his first eight games of the 1993-94 campaign.

* Derrick Rose has missed just seven regular season games since he joined the Bulls in 2008-09, and they are 2-5 without him; over that time, the team is 152-99 (.606) with Rose on the court.

* In 17 career starts against Boston, Carlos Boozer has averaged a double-double -- 15.2 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Bulls Game Notes For Wednesday vs. Washington

* The Bulls have won each of the last five meetings between these teams, last losing to Washington back on February 22, 2010.

* The Wizards have lost seven straight and 43 of their last 46 road games. 

* Chicago's 9-2 record is its best start to a season since 1996-97 when the Bulls began that campaign 12-0. The Bulls own the second-best scoring defense in the NBA this season, limited their foes to just 87.8 points.

* Kyle Korver has made 13 three-pointers in his last four games after making a total of nine in his first seven games of the season.

* The Bulls have won four consecutive games against the Timberwolves by an average of 17.0 points per contest. In those contests, the Bulls have had an average rebounding edge of 12.0 boards per game.

* The Bulls are playing their fourth game in a stretch of five games in six days -- the last time they had a string of five games in six days was almost 20 years ago (April 8-13, 1983).

* The Bulls have allowed less than 85 points (and less than 41 percent shooting from the field) in five of their last six games.

* Derrick Rose has dished out at least six assists in each of his last nine games. Only Jose Calderon (11) currently has a longer streak of 6-assist games.

Bulls Game Notes For Monday vs. Detroit

* The Bulls have won each of their last 12 games overall against the Pistons, last losing to them back in December of 2008. Detroit has dropped each of its last 10 trips to Chicago, last winning there back in February of 2006.

* The Pistons have been outscored 99.3 to 78.7 during their current three-game losing streak.

* The Bulls have won each of their two home games this season, holding their opponents to an average of just 69.0 points in those contests.

* Greg Monroe has posted two 20-point games already this season after recording a total of five all of last season. Monroe has scored in double figures in seven of his eight games so far.

* After scoring in double figures in 66 consecutive games, Derrick Rose saw that streak come to an end on Saturday when he was held to just eight points. 

* Brandon Knight made a career-high five three-pointers against the Knicks on Saturday after failing to hit a three in each of his previous four contests.

Good evening to all of my Peeps out there. Tonight the Bulls face the Magic at 7pm ct on WCIU.  D. Rose is still a game time decision for Coach Thibodeau tonight. Derrick capped his MVP season last year scoring 39 points vs the Magic on April 10th. The Bulls enter tonight's game with a 6-1 record which is their best start since they went 12-0 to begin the 1996-97 season. This mini stretch of road games is any early test for the Bulls. After playing in Detroit on Wednesday and Orlando tonight the Bulls will close out the trip tomorrow night  in Atlanta.

* The Bulls have won the last three meetings, including two games played in Orlando, but the Magic won the three previous times that the teams hooked up.

* Chicago beat Detroit, 99-83, on Wednesday to move to 6-1 on the season; that is the team's best start since winning 12 of their first 13 contests in 1996-97.

* Orlando beat Washington, 103-85, on Wednesday to improve to 5-2 on the young season. The Magic have scored 100.6 points per game in the five wins, while shooting .427 from three-point range; in the two defeats, they have averaged 83.5 points and have made 32.0 percent of their treys.

* Derrick Rose and Monta Ellis (Warriors) are the only players averaging 20+ points and 8+ assists this season (minimum 5 games). In his last three games against the Magic, Rose is averaging 28.3 points and 7.0 assists.

* In the last game between these clubs (4/10/11), Ryan Anderson scored 28 points with 10 rebounds; it was one of six 20/10 games in his career, the last one coming on Wednesday versus Washington.

Bulls Game Notes For Wednesday @ Detroit

* Chicago has won its last 11 games against Detroit. During Chicago's 11-game winning streak against Detroit, the Bulls have allowed the Pistons to score 100 points or more just two times. The Pistons' last win against the Bulls came at home on December 23, 2008, 104-98.

* In its first two games of the new year, Chicago has allowed a total of 138 points. The Bulls' defense has held its opponents in those two games to 32.9 percent shooting, including 20.8 percent shooting from the three-point line.

* Derrick Rose scored 30 of Chicago's 76 points, and added seven assists, to lead the Bulls to a 76-74 win over the Hawks in their last game. Rose is averaging 29.5 points in his last four games against the Pistons.

* After losing its first three games of the season, Detroit handed Indiana its only loss of the season and gave Orlando its second loss of the season, by shooting 48.6 percent from the field in those two games.

* Detroit has allowed just 18 offensive rebounds and 27 second-chance points in its last three games.

* Greg Monroe is shooting 58.8 percent from the field (30/51) and has 22 offensive rebounds this season, fourth in the NBA. Monroe has 22 points in four career games against the Bulls.

* The Hawks have won three of their last five regular season road games against the Bulls.

* The Bulls, who have eclipsed 100 points in each of their last three games, have not scored at least 100 points in four straight games since October 30 - November 5, 2010.

* The Hawks are one of just five teams in the NBA that has not allowed 100 points in any contest this season.

* The Bulls have scored exactly 33 fast break points twice over their last three games. Last season, the Bulls scored more than 30 fast break points on just two occasions.
