Mo' Mo
The Cubs look for a little momentum tonight after ending their 4-game slide last night. Ted Lilly was tremendous, going into the 9th with a shutout. It was exactly the type of performance the Cubs were looking for after allowing 43 runs over their previous 6 games. Mark DeRosa also stepped up big time, cranking 2 HRs, including a grand slam, as he spelled Aramis Ramirez, who is away from the team because of a family matter. (Bob V Editor's note - Isn't Len too humble here? C'mon, Len - you called it man!)
With the hype of the Crosstown Series now in the past, the Cubs can concentrate on getting hopefully all their superstars back in the lineup over the next week or so and getting on a roll going into the break. It would also be nice to build a little more space in the standings ahead of the Cardinals before this weekend's series in St. Louis. You know the Cardinals are looking at that set as a huge one in their quest to catch the Cubs and if you can steal away a little momentum prior to Friday, that certainly wouldn't hurt.
It's Marquis vs. Cain tonight on WGN Sports. Make sure you join us for all the fun and excitement of Cubs Baseball, West Coast style.

Here's an odd Cub fact I haven't seen mentioned. Lou Piniella has been ejected twice as a Cub. Mark DeRosa has 2 grand slams as a Cub. Both of DeRosa's grand slams came the day after Piniella was ejected.

Len - on the Comcast broadcast Monday night, you were giving info about HD channels and referred to Direct TV channel 668-1 as "668 minus 1" when it should be said "dash 1". Hope that helps for future reference.
