Blackhawks Game Notes For Saturday @ Detroit

* Chicago has won three of the last four times they have visited Joe Louis Arena, scoring the first goal of the game each time.

* The Blackhawks are 5-1-1 over their last seven games, outscoring their opponents, 25-14. Chicago has killed off just 68.2% of their opponent's power plays over those seven games, however, allowing seven of those 14 goals on the power play.

* Six of Detroit's last seven games have been decided by one goal, with three of those games being decided in the shootout.

* Chicago and Detroit have collected just 54 and 62 penalty minutes, respectively, this month, the fewest in the league.

* The Blackhawks have won the first three games against Los Angeles this season, running their winning streak to five games in the series. Chicago is 8-0-1 versus the Kings since March 2009.

* Chicago's 2-1 loss at Anaheim on Sunday was its third in a row. With the defeat, the Blackhawks remain tied with Columbus for the fewest points in the Central Division (43), though they're only two points behind the second-place Blues.

* After allowing six and seven goals their previous two games, the Kings limited San Jose to only one goal on New Year's Day, but still lost their third straight.

* Patrick Sharp has totaled 15 goals and 26 points in 19 career games against the Kings. Both rates (0.79 goals per game, 1.37 points per game) are the best among active players versus Los Angeles (minimum 10 games).

* Chicago dropped a 5-3 decision to the Sharks on Thursday - its second-straight loss following a season-high tying 4-game win streak. The Blackhawks have lost three consecutive road contests (0-2-1 record).
* Including a 4-1 victory at Honda Center on November 26, the Blackhawks have won both of their meetings with the Ducks this season and overall, have now won three of the last six games played between the two clubs.
* Patrick Sharp lit the lamp on Thursday and now has three goals in his last three games overall. Sharp has six points during his current 5-game scoring streak vs. the Ducks.
* Corey Perry has three goals and two assists in his last four games vs. the Blackhawks.
