(Chicago, IL) Many of you have asked how things are going with the fledgling family enterprise, Old Havana Foods.
The latest news is me and Mrs. Crews are headed to New York the end of June to exhibit at the Summer Fancy Food Show. This is the Super Bowl of the specialty / gourmet food industry.
We were accepted in the "Member Candidate" category (a special exhibit space for tiny, family-owned companies like Old Havana). I'll be cooking up a storm in the "New Products on the Shelf" Pavilion, serving up samples of my legendary Cuban black beans and Chili Cubano.
Unfortunately, the show isn't open to the general public. But if you have a delicious family recipe concept and dream about marketing to the $63 billion dollar Specialty Food industry, listen up.

I'll let you know how things go in New York! Thanks for your words of encouragement. And as always - go Hawks!
